Recently about 20 members of the Free Beach Association of New South Wales spent four days at River Island (November 3rd to 6th, 2000). This was the fourth year that most of these naturists have enjoyed this get-together, in the luxury cabins and the caravans (me) beside the Wollondilly River in this beautiful valley.

The resort is a two hour drive from Sydney and the last section, from Mittagong includes an unmade road which means your car is coated in red dust by the tim you arrive. But the trip is worth it! This group of men and women ranging from ages of very early 20s to mid 70s had a wonderfully relaxing time, bush-walking, going for a four-wheel drive, swimming in the river, swimming in the pull, using the spa and sauna, sitting around and chatting, playing petanque and above all eating and drinking, not only all the food that they had brought in but also the dinner in the restaurant. On this occasion there were two Canadian naturists present who recorded it all on video, which, when edited and finished, will be available from their distributor in Canada and through the internet. They were very obviously impressed with the beautiful naturist resort, with its river, exotic birdlife, kangaroos coming to the cabins, wild goats, and typical Aussie setting and hospitality.
