o Bare Buns Fun Run/Walk on Wreck Beach (Vancouver) Trip Report. 1998. Details on the Run, who attended, the weather and other happenings. This report is brought to you by David Basford, president of the Federation of Canadian Naturists, who attended the Fun Run... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Crescent Rock Beach, Surrey, B.C. 2006. Located on the 6 km of secluded shoreline in South Surrey between Crescent Beach and White Rock, this nude-friendly beach has been a naturist hot-spot for over 50 years. While not as well known as world-famous Wreck Beach in Vancouver, it does offer an au' naturelle experience close to the Fraser Valley and U.S. border. For detailed information and directions, visit Surrey's United Naturists (SUN) website which is listed below. Be buff by the bluffs at Crescent Rock Beach!
o Crescent Rock Beach Trip Report. 2006. A trip to Vancouver B.C. Canada would not be complete without a visit to their "other" nude beach. While Wreck Beach is world famous, there is another naturist hot-spot not far from it in the city of Surrey. Known as Crescent Rock Beach, it is located on the strip of secluded shoreline between Crescent Beach and White Rock, protected by the 200 foot Ocean Park bluffs. While rocky and rough in stretches, there are three main beach areas which attract naturists from throughout the Greater Vancouver area and Fraser Valley. Because of the hillside, limited access points, and the BNSF railway which runs along the base of the slope, it is distinctly remote considering the neighbourhoods which surround it. If you're looking to get away from the crowds at Wreck and want to witness an abundance of wildlife including bald eagles, great blue herons, harbour seals, and the occasional whale, then this is your beach. It has a great view of the islands in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and fantastic sunsets can be seen from along its western shores. Bring along a thick blanket to lie on as the sand is course and pebbly. Surrey's United Naturists (SUN) have set up a website to promote Crescent Rock Beach's naturist use. For detailed directions and information on this nude-friendly shore I suggest you visit their site at crescentrockbeach.org . For those hard-core naturists out there, SUN even holds a New Year's swim known as the Polar 'Bare' Plunge. Kind of adds a whole new meaning to the term skinny-dip!
o Georgeson Bay on Galiano Island Report. 2002. New listing for Gulf Islands. Georgeson Bay on Galiano Island, BC is about a 5 minute drive from the ferry terminal at Sturdies bay. Beautiful scenic view of Active Pass with a nice sandy beach and very quiet. Access is about a 15 minute walk from the top of the trail at buffs park. Very similar to the trail to Wreck beach. See map below. There is a sign at the top of trail stating quite clearly that it is a clothing optional beach... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Lions Bay, Vancouver, Report. May 2002. Just to let you know that my wife and I parked nearby to go to that Lions Bay beach, and it seems now that they have their no parking signs up and resident parking only, they are being serious about it. We came back to our car to find it gone. It seems that if you go about three miles further north on the Sound, although it is hard to find, you will not be harassed because no one lives nearby. Thanks Michael for the report.
o Lions Bay, Vancouver, Report. July 2001. I've been sunworshiping at this heavenly location, not far from the city of Vancouver, for the 10 years that I've lived in BC. Unofficially clothing optional, it's the hang-out for middle-aged couples and lesbians who don't want the party atmosphere of the famous Wreck Beach. Large homes dot the shoreline to the north of the beach and rocks somewhat partion off the nude section from the homes. Difficult to get to, its not much of a place for the random gawkers... o Little Tribune Beach, Hornby Island, Report. 2000. One of the most beautiful naturist sites in British Columbia is Little Tribune Beach on Hornby Island, where our family has vacationed for the last three summers. Travellers get to Hornby by taking the BC Ferry system to Vancouver Island, then driving a short distance north along the island's eastern side to get to two very small islands, taking ferries first to Denman Island and from there to Hornby.... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Nanaimo Information from a member. 2006. Nanaimo is directly across the Strait of Georgia (west) from Vancouver, and about 2 hours north of Victoria by car. It is the second largest city on Vancouver Island. Non of the clothing optional places are in town, although we have some very nice beaches in town. The beaches in town are generally used by families and tourists. You have to get away from the crowds. Unlike eastern Canada (or the Lower Mainland), Vancouver Island has lots of forested area full of streams, lakes and waterfalls, and the trails to get you there. With the low population, the Island is quite nudist friendly, and no matter where you go there's always a spot to enjoy naked. There are no signs indicating =>=>=>nude beach this way=>=>=>, so you have to know where is ok. But: Stay away from Qualicum Beach, it is touristy and has the seniors crowd (great place to retire). Tofino and Ucluelet are quite nudist friendly.
o Wreck Beach Report - accommodations nearby. June 2003. Wreck Beach (http://www.wreckbeach.org) is Canada's most popular and first officially sanctioned clothing-optional beach and is extremely popular. It is on the campus of the University of British Columbia, within the boundaries of Greater Vancouver. I have found hotel accommodations that are within walking distance of several beach access points. UBC provides accommodations for conference visitors, visiting profs etc. and the public at the Gage Towers. Everything from hostel-style rooms at CA$24 per person per night (in 2003), to one-bedroom suites with kitchenettes at CA$129 for one or two. (2003 prices - email JanC if you go there and the prices have changed but check the website first.) All telephones are analog, so the line can be used for Internet access. No restaurants on site, but there are a variety of food options within walking distance. A taxi ride to downtown or to the airport is about CA $20. There is also bus service to downtown - the bus loop is close by on University Avenue. Trail 6, the main access to Wreck Beach, is on NW Marine Drive, at the end of University Avenue. Look for a small sign labelled Trail 6. It’s only about a 1 km walk away, south-west across the campus from Gage. Trail 3 is about half that distance to the north-west, and Trail 4 is about the same distance to the west. Use Trail 6 if you want to be part of the crowd; Trail 3 or 4 if you want some privacy. You should resist the urge to be naked while on the access trails. The world famous Museum of Anthropology is close by, between Trails 3 and 4 and is well worth a (clothed) visit. Thanks Gary for the report.
o Wreck Beach Report. July 2002. During my last Vancouver stay this past summer, I had the opportunity to go at Wreck beach twice. The place is famously renowned as one of the two official Canadian naturist beaches. The simplest way to get is to take trolley bus no.10 from downtown Vancouver up to the end of the line located into the British Colombia University. Then you just have to walk west through the campus and find the trail no.6. Going down to the beach using the trail is a beautiful experience because of the tree surroundings. It will take you about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the beach... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)

o Bouctouche Dunes Trip Report. May 2003. Another area of interest for Naturist/nudist in New-Brunswick would be the Irving park in Bouctouche New Brunswick. The park is a long sand bar which has a 3k wooden boardwalk. Once off the end of the boardwalk, keep walking for another half hour to 45 minutes. It's a lovely area, although not strictly "Naturist". Keep an eye out for walkers and bird watchers as they approach. Not difficult since you can see them for quite a distance. Just sit down as they walk pass. You might want to bring an umbrella since there is no shade. Don't forget your water and your lunch, it's a long walk back to the canteen. Thanks Beach Person for the report.
o Kouchibouguac National Park. 1998. I visited Kouchibouguac National Park in New Brunswick, Canada in August. Hoped to camp in the park, but it was (predictably) full. It takes 2-3 days on the waiting list to gain a site. The water was suprisingly warm: a few jellyfish, but not enough to spoil an absolutely wonderful natural experience. Bottom line is this is a good place for a shy nudist, but don't go expecting a social nudism experience, at least not on a weekday. A beautiful spot. (one hour north of Moncton, the nearest "big" city)... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)

o Crystal Crescent Beach Report. 2001. I spent an wonderful afternoon at Crystal Crescent one day at the beginning of July, 2000. The weather was great but the ocean waters were about 54 degrees. A little to bracing for swimming although several jumped in only to quickly return to the warm sand. Later this month it will be swimmable. The falcons and cormorants were putting on quite a show, as always, they are fascinating to watch... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o A Foggy Day at Crystal Crescent Beach, Halifax. 1998. On a recent trip to Nova Scotia, I had the opportunity to visit Crystal Crescent Beach, which is about a 45 minute drive south of Halifax. It is an unsupervised beach with no facilities so the beach area is not overly developed. However, it is a popular beach and there is ample parking available. The beach itself consists of three beaches, with the biggest and best being reserved for nude use. ... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)

o Bare Oaks (formerly The New Forest Resort) - CyberNorth Report. July 2004. This year the Canada holiday provided an extended long weekend for many Canadians, some of whom chose to spend it at the Bare Oaks annual gathering of friends... many of them on-line friends who meet in "3-D" only one or two times a year. The July 4th Independence day holiday landed on the Sunday this year, making the American holiday weekend shifted from the Canadian by one day. Add to that the fact that Friday, July 2nd was not a holiday in Canada and many had to work, and you have a real mixed bag... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Bare Oaks (formerly The New Forest) Report. 2000. Bare Oaks is a "Family Naturist Resort" with 200 campsites and rental facilities. On Saturday nights we put together a dance in the rec room downstairs. We have a resident D.J. Periodically we have 'advertised dance nights' in which there will be a licenced bar, and buffet. In the Lounge, downstairs, we have a licenced bar, dance floor, fireplace, and a D.J. booth, along with a pool table in an adjacent room. Please join us at this wonderful NEW resort. Our large cedar deck is perfect for tanning... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.) Summer 2000.
o Beechgrove Beach Report. January and February 2003. These are new pictures from my walks on Jan 29, 2003 and Feb 20, 2003, as well as some high resolution pics of the project map. Please note most of these are full size graphics except for the maps. Clicking the small image maps will display larger images, over 200KB each. When I was down on Feb 20, the construction is very noticeable from the hill and the beach. The current construction is going to be the "Pedestrian Node" which you can see on the project map is at the mid-point of the overall project... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o First Time at East Haven Report. Summer 2005. I'm 31, male, single, straight. When I was younger, I was very shy about nudity, either mine or others. Naturism fascinated and frightened me because it was something I could never see myself do. About eight years ago, my attitude towards nudity started changing. I began sleeping in the nude and being nude by myself sometimes (a classic closet case!). Then, five years ago, I began researching about naturism on the internet. It still scared me a little, but I started wondering. Then, last year, I finally realized I actually wanted to visit a naturist resort. I saw pictures on the websites of some resorts and I wished I could leap into my screen and join the people I saw in those pictures... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Trip Report on East Haven Sun Club. August 2003. My wife and I recently visited East Haven for the weekend. It is a relatively small resort, but each campsite was wonderfully maintained. We have camped all over south eastern Ontario (textile places) and I challenge anyone to find a resort where they keep the facilities as clean as here. Although you were expected to remove shoes in the bathroom/shower, when you see how clean it is you will have no problems doing this. The owners, and manager are very friendly and the club house offers a refuge from the sun complete with some naturist videos and literature. The rate for the weekend was resonable and offers three way hookup. The pool area and hot tub are also equally well maintained. It is refreshing to see a place where pride in ownership is obvious, they are not just there to make a buck, well done. Thanks Nolsen for the report!
o East Haven Sun Club Report. August 2000. I recently visited East Haven Sun Club near Ottawa, Ontario, for the first time in three years. Since my last visit the club has been taken over by new owners. They have made a lot of improvements including a new pool and excellent shower and washroom facilities. The grounds were very clean, tidy, and well kept. My wife and I were members from 1988 to 1996 and I can truthfully say that the place has never looked as good as it did on my last visit. I would recommend East Haven as a good rustic nudist club. Thanks Brian for the report!
o Four Seasons Nudist Resort Report. Last week of August 2002, My family and I (wife and 14 year old daughter) spent four nights at the Four Seasons Resort during the last week of August. Overall, I'd say the experience was pretty good, although it was by no means perfect. It started out with two small errors in the directions as listed in Four Seasons' Web site. Directions can be found on the "Contact us" page. I attempted to follow the directions for American visitors. They said to "take the 403 Hamilton cutoff and go North." Too bad 403 is an east-west highway. It should have said to go west. By compass, however, you'd be going south. Further on in the directions, it says to go 8.0 miles along Highway 6. The actual distance is 9 or 10. ... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Four Seasons Resort Report. Spring 2002. Hi, my name is Phil and I would like to tell you about my visit to the Four Seasons in Freelton Ontario. My wife and I are relatively new to naturism {about 3 years now}.We began by going to beaches in our area, but, did not like the lurkers and gawkers. We now frequent a resort not far from our home north of Montreal. During the winter we decided to try the Four Seasons for a weekend, to decide whether or not to honeymoon there as we are getting married on June22 of this year. We did not know what to expect, having only seen their website and having heard that it was snobby. Thank God,we tried it!!!!!!!! What a wonderful place! The atmosphere was enjoyable and the people we met, were not only friendly but went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The accomodations were great, the food excellent.......and the water was fine! Yes we are going to be spending our honeymoon there. We have booked a week and look forward to going and meeting other nice people.I promise to write back and let you know how that goes. I hope the people that called it a snobby place will give it another try. I loved it and can hardly keep myself away. Stay Naked Stay Happy......... Thanks Phil for the report!
o Four Seasons Resort Report. 2002. I am a long time nudist who has visited may clubs in Ont. Michigan, Ohio, Penn. and N Y state. Four Seasons is without a doubt the best that I have seen. It is large with a diverse membership, fantasic facilities (log on to their site (above) and view the photos). Being dubbed a snobby club is just not correct or fair. From my fist visit I had no trouble meeting and talking with some wonderfully warm friendly members. But it is also a club that is open year round where many members live full time and enjoy perhaps prefer to hang with their friends. Be assured there are lots of others who visit regularly on weekends who enjoy meeting both new and old friends. In my mind there is no place I have visted that offers relaxation for those that seek that and a great fun party atmosphere for those who enjoy a fun time clothes free get away. Check their calender of events and plan a weekend visit asap! Promise you won't be disappointed particularly if you are willing to go half way to meet new friends, and have a great time! Thanks Brent for the report!
o Four Seasons Nudist Resort Report. 2001. After having visited most of the clubs in southern Ontario, my wife and I and our 2 children, 4 and 7, decided to try The Four Seasons in Freelton, Ont. We had heard that it was a more modern resort ( kind of like Paradise Lakes ) of the north and were not sure if there would be many families such as ours. After checking in we realised that this was a very large facility with lots of families. We pitched our tent along the lakeside and started to explore the 150 acre property. There were may homes in the park ( I was told later about 180 year round residents) and lots of seasonal camp sites. The large indoor complex had a 50x25 pool that was a wonderful 88 degrees, whirlpool, sauna, fitness centre, restaurant and games area... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Four Seasons Nudist Resort Report. 1999. On Oct 10th I traveled to the Four Seasons Resort in Freelton, Ontario, with my daughter Karin and some friends, aMikey, JanC, Dennis & Sandy. I was surprised to see a remote controlled gate at the entrance as I've only been to Glen Echo before this, and they don't have any such security. After parking our cars, we went in to register. I was told I could have a discount for being an FCN member and showing my card. Bonus? Glen Echo has never given me a discount.... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Four Seasons Nudist Resort Report. 1999. My Day Trip To The Four Seasons. I have been to this resort twice now and am ready to share my thoughts on it. Since there was only one time when I really enjoyed it I will share it here now with you. We, Andy and I went up the Saturday before our Canadian Thanksgiving... o French River Provincial Park Report. August 2002. I was looking for a place to combine canoeing or kayaking with outdoors nudity, and I certainly found it in French River Provincial Park (thanks David (another nudist and dedicated kayaker) for the suggestion). This is an area of Ontario that is not well known by most people, even those who have visited Algonquin and/or Killarney Provincial Parks, located in the same vicinity. A great place to be nude in nature... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Hanlan's Point and Toronto Islands Report. July 2002. I visited Hanlan's Point for the first time last Saturday afternoon. During mid-day in the summer the ferry runs every 30 minutes to/from Hanlan's. It's a 15 minute ferry ride ($5 round trip) and a 15 minute walk from the ferry dock (signs posted to clothing-optional beach). You can take a bike on this ferry, and you can bring your bike right onto the beach. After your visit to the beach, you can ride (not naked!) over to Centre and/or Ward’s Island and take the ferry back from there. The start of the c/o beach is marked by a snow fence (only in Canada would you see a snow fence in July). Lifeguards are posted on the textile side of the snow fence, where almost no one goes. I guess that the City doesn't value the lives of nudists as highly as those of textiles. There were a number of boats anchored a little ways out. Couldn't tell if they were nudists or gawkers. Hot and sunny -- a perfect day. There were probably 3-400 people there, with maybe 80 percent nude. About half of the beach was gay, the other half straight. Only about 10% were women, and I saw only one child. When I visited, almost everyone was just lying around, sunning themselves. Contrast this with Wreck Beach in Vancouver. On the weekends, there's lots going on -- drum circles, musical groups, people playing games -- and lots of vendors selling interesting foods and beverages (including beer). A goodly percentage are women and kids. Wreck Beach is a real community. Little Beach on Maui is the same. I hope that Hanlan's Point will develop along the same lines. Did you know that there are four B&Bs, and two restaurants, on Wards and Algonquin Islands? You could have a nice semi-nude min-vacation on the Islands for not much money. Thanks Gary for the report!
o Hanlan's Beach Report. May 22, 1999 was a great day. It was the opening day for the Toronto Islands. There is a lot of history about these islands. But I will not bore you all with a history lesson right now. Maybe we could have a section where we all could send in a little history on the Nudist Places we all travel to. One of the Islands is called Hanlan's Point. It is a great beach. In the 60's it was a nudist beach. A few of my friends used to go there. As for me I was barely, no pun intended, born yet. To get to the Toronto Islands one must take a 15 minute ride on a ferry... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o High Falls Resort Report. June 2004. As I sit here with a broken foot, I remember High Falls to be a wonderful adventure. I drove up Saturday morning, arriving around 1 p.m. I found the General Store to be similar as New Forest's new General Store, the front office was part of the store. The pool is heated and was a comfortable 89F on the day of our visit. The hot tub (with waterfall) was 102F. It was very nice to stand under the waterfall, (if you could get Shelley out of the way) as it felt like a high powered shower. ;) ... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Lilly Valley Report. June 2003. Just returned last night from a lengthy stay at Lilly Valley. We left on Saturday, June 28 and arrived early in the afternoon giving us time to setup camp and relax before the chili cookoff. Great variety of chili with 8 entries to sample. Lots of buns and salads to accompany the chili. Lilly Valley is a small rustic park with a few trailers for rent. Most campers bring their RVs or tent in the meadow. The majority of members day trip.... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o McCrae Lake Report. Summer 2002 Last summer I spent a few naked days up at McCrae Lake, off of Georgian Bay in Ontario. Before I made my decision to go I gathered as much info. off the internet. There were a few negative reports, but then I got ahold of some canoe clubs up there. Here is my straight and first-hand report on McCrae Lake. Because of its rapids (very short portage) the lake is quite isolated from motor boats, and the masses. Yet it is easy to get to by canoe. I wouldn’t do this trip without a canoe by the way, and back-packing gear. McCrae is a fairly large lake with beautiful rocky shores, pines, and pretty good fishing. I took the advice I was given, and went in the middle of the week (tues-thurs)... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o North River Lake, Algonquin Park. 1999. Labour Day Canuding Trip. The Labour Day weekend was looking like it was going to be one of the better weekends of the year, so my friend Karen and I decided to head out on a weekend canuding trip to North River Lake in Algonquin Park... o Ontario Roaming Bares (ORB) Cruise of Lake Ontario. July 2002. A Hilarious, Enchanted, Memorable Evening on Lake Ontario by Allen T. So many delightful memories from the 6th annual ORB nude cruise!Cruising past ducks, geese, swans, wild shorelines, marinas, and many other party boats. Laughing together uproariously at the reactions of people on other boats, on the shore, and at the huge Docks nightclub as they suddenly realized a boatload of naked people was going past. In particular, one group of young women shrieking excitedly like Beatles fans as their boat glided past ours, and other women grabbing their binoculars. Eating the great dinner of chicken and steak barbecued right on the boat, plus salad, potatoes, bread, dessert. Enjoying a fascinating route around the Toronto inner and outer harbours, islands, and peninsulas. Seeing the Toronto skyline transformed from hard-edged banal buildings during daylight to a soft magical blend of colourful lights after the glorious sunset. Gradually coming to feel bonded as a group, something I had not anticipated when the diverse collection of individuals was standing on shore waiting for the Ontario Roaming Bares (Toronto) 6th annual Lake Ontario Nude Cruise to begin. Standing on the upper deck at 10:00 on this hot Toronto evening, refreshed by the warm wind on my naked body. The spontaneous gratitude we all expressed at the end of the evening to Skippy for his masterful organizing, to Captain Bob Muran for taking the M. V. Island Princess on just the right route, and to his crew member for her delicious meal and pleasant manner. Thanks Allen T. for the report!
o Ponderosa Park Report. July 1999. Howdy Pardners, went to The Ponderossa yesterday and had a wonderful time. This Ponderossa has no horses, or cattle, or gorgeous looking cowboys in cowboy hats and boots. This Ponderosa is the nudist resort in Flamborough Ontario which is outside of Hamilton. This resort is a nice resort on a lot of land. There are nature trails, and a lot of different things to do. The outdoor pool is a L shape and is cold right now but once you get in and get used to it it is not that bad.... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Port Burwell Report. July 2003. About a week or so ago thru the magic of the internet, I learned about one of Canada's best kept secrets; the nude beach at Port Burwell on Lake Erie just Southeast of London. Not being able to resist a new nude experience, I stopped there for a quick look see on the way home from a day at the Ponderosa Nature Park near Hamilton, Ont. What a pleasant surprise. The privately owned beach is just west of the Provincial Park beach which is just west of the bridge in downtown Port Burwell. The park costs nine dollars for a day pass which seems steep for a crowded and somewhat unkept public beach but it does provide a nice safe place to park your car (go all the way to lot #5)... (click link to see the rest of the report.)
o Port Burwell Provincial Park Beach Area. June 2001. I visited the beach adjoining Port Burwell Provincial Park on Lake Erie on June 24, 2001 and was pleased with the numbers I saw out. For those unfamiliar with this area, it is a beach area about 2 km long, privately owned, with plenty of sandy beach and loads of room, starting at the boundary with the Provincial Park. It has been an unofficial "nude" beach for years and seems to be gaining in popularity with the numbers I’ve seen... (click link to see the rest of the report.)

o Plage d’Oka / Oka Beach revisited. Summer 2002. English: 2002 summer season has been a wonderful one with a very nice and consistent weather until the end of September. The clothes optional section of the Parc d’Oka beach has been extended to the west side giving further distance from the portion occupied by boats. Many people and small families have fully appreciated this quieter sector... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Oka Beach Report. 1998. This beach located about 45 minutes west of Montreal on the Ottawa river is a beautiful location for both camping and nude beach activities. There is easy access from Montreal by taking the 13 north to the 640 and going all the way to the west end. The 640 ends at the Paul-Sauve park which is where the beach is.... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Riviere Rouge (between Ottawa and Montreal) Report. 1999. This location is midway between Ottawa and Montreal, just north of the Ottawa River. Riviere Rouge runs into the Ottawa River after crossing east-west Highway 148, and is a short distance west of Calumet, Quebec. If coming from Ontario, cross the Ottawa River at Hawkesbury, go north to Hwy 148 and then west on Hwy 148 past Calumet. You can park just south and east of the point where Hwy 148 crosses Riviere Rouge. After a short walk on a path along the east side of the river north from the highway, you'll come upon two rock outcroppings, the first one for the clothes-burdened, the second for the clothes-free. The two areas are separated by a tiny bay, and the two groups are in sight of each other, but there's no problem -- Quebeckers are quite tolerant of nudity....
