Four Seasons Resort, Ontario, Canada

October, 1999

On Oct 10th I traveled to the Four Seasons Resort in Freelton, Ontario, with my daughter Karin and some friends, aMikey, JanC, Dennis & Sandy. I was surprised to see a remote controlled gate at the entrance as I've only been to Glen Echo before this, and they don't have any such security. After parking our cars, we went in to register. I was told I could have a discount for being an FCN member and showing my card. Bonus? Glen Echo has never given me a discount.

We walked past the indoor pool, which is surrounded by the tables and chairs of the restaurant/bar, and into the change room. The lockers were all taken, apparently these are for the members, but we managed to find 2 that were still empty, and put our locks on them. After stripping down we showered and headed for the hot tub. It was too hot for me in there, although my friends told me it wasn't that bad. Then it was off to the solarium.

It was a nice day, with a few clouds, and the solarium was perfect, with a soft floor. We had a very relaxing time, then went for food. The restaurant is more of a cafeteria style. You order your meal, and when it's ready they ring a bell. Our lunch was 2 rings. It was more than we could eat. My daughter couldn't finish her Fries & Gravy. How many teens can't finish their fries & gravy? The burgers are 1/2 lb. of meat, and the hot dogs are all foot long.

We met some very nice people while there, including Chris from the chat line here, and a lady (Jane) that was visiting from Boston, Pawlo who is the Advertising Manager for the "Going Natural" magazine. I met one of the regulars who gave me a ride in his golf cart, ('local transportation system').

Kelly was very nice and is now looking forward to attending (with his female companion) my swim night on Oct. 23rd. The pool was a bit too cool for us that day, as they were replacing the heater that broke. We went for a walk around the grounds. The trailer section is very well kept, and the pets we encountered were well behaved. The roads through the 'village' are dirt and gravel and many have imaginative names.

The 'homes' were all landscaped very differently, and one had a gold-fish pond built into the retaining wall. We passed by the volleyball courts, tennis courts, and a field with 3 horses in it. There is also a lake with a river system. It was a very pleasant quiet walk. At the back of the clubhouse, there is a huge balcony, which hangs over the lake.

Also in the clubhouse is a store. There you can buy various candy, chocolate, used clothing, pop, and in the back of this store, erotic outfits, lubricant oils, candles etc. Upstairs there is a fully equipped weight training room, which has a stair master, exercise bikes, and a variety of weights and other equipment. I will be returning there for another visit. I was very impressed with this Resort.
