Dear Interested Guests, I've asked the webmaster of this site to remove old reports about the history of Eden Bay. We have a new history to be proud of since our reopening on August 15, 2003 and the old trials and tribulations of our homeowners in the accomplishment of this task although admirable, need not be dwelled on hear where people come to find out about vacation destinations. And ours is one of the best in the Caribbean.

Outside the sleepy village of Abreu, on a vast expanse of 123 acres of private ocean front property lies Eden Bay. It is a resort dedicated first and foremost to providing the best that a tropical vacation can offer. It also affords its guests the option to interact with nature unfettered by clothing. The goal of Eden Bay is to combine the choice to be clothes-free with the luxury and ambiance of a resort of the highest quality.

This philosophy is exhibited in the choice construction of the resort’s accommodations, built with loving care and respect for the natural terrain - all impeccably furnished; the grounds keepers who constantly attend to the vast array of tropical landscaping that delights the senses; the master chef who creates and presents an ever varying menu of local and international cuisine; the pools, swim-up bar, hot tubs, clay tennis courts, nightclub, and all the amenities and activities designed to exercise or rest the mind and body and renew the spirit.

The staff at Eden Bay knows that a vacation is a special time, planned with care and anticipation. From the moment they welcome your arrival to the final farewell; for all the days you have placed yourself in their care, their only goal is to assure that your vacation - your escape to Eden - is the best it can possibly be. Included With Your Stay at Eden Bay Upon Arrival at the Puerto Plata Airport, you will be greeted by an Eden Bay staff member and escorted to the resort. Transfers to and from the resort are provided. All meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon hors d’oeuvres, theme buffets, beach barbecues and all beverages are included. Eden Bay provides what you expect from a true 4-Star resort.

Amenities include three fresh water pools, swim-up bar, beach bar, Tap Room bar, two restaurants, one formal and one casual (on the beach), two spa/hot tubs, billiards area, media room, shuffle board court, water and sand volleyball courts, complimentary snorkeling gear, ocean kayaks, clay tennis courts and a discotheque. Eden Bay is an all inclusive resort property designed for nudist, clothes-free enjoyment of its natural setting. There are no rules concerning when you can be or must be nude or clothed anywhere on the resort property. Nudity is permitted on the grounds and in the facilities of the resort at any and all times.

The resort’s seclusion from the outside world due to the walled front entrance and the natural high and rugged cliffs encompassing our beach and lower resort areas make it perfect for those who relish the enjoyment of nudist, clothes-free comfort. Eden Bay is the only resort in the Dominican Republic (and for that matter the whole Caribbean) to hold an official governmental permit granting the right to operate as a nudist, clothing-optional resort. Because of this, the resort adheres strictly to the established guidelines of proper behavior in a nudist facility and requires guests to comply with these guidelines during the course of their stay. There is no such thing as a room without a view at Eden Bay. All Accommodations look out over the tropical foliage to the Atlantic Ocean and its multi-colored waters. Whether nestled into the hillside or on the beach, every unit has one king size bed or two queen size beds, tile bathroom with shower, refrigerator, ceiling fans and a patio or balcony. Sea Cliff Apartments and the Villas of the Cove have full kitchens available. Air conditioning (never a necessity at Eden Bay) is currently not available. It is difficult to say what each guest will decide upon with regard to the unit designs and locations that are available. Those who are into tennis or desire easy access to the Resort's main dining and entertainment complex may chose the Sea Cliff accommodations essentially comprised of Premium hotel rooms, Deluxe Studios and Apartments.

Those who desire a more relaxed and intimately cozy environment may chose the individual Villas of the Cove either Ocean Front or those situated along the cliffs surrounding the Cove.
