COSTA NATURA - OCTOBER 1996 This report was made up in October 1996 by Peter of London. Costa Natura is different! It offers year round sunshine in a well maintained and managed naturist resort set in beautiful gardens with trim lawns which sweep down to the beach and the sea. The apartments seem to be in haphazard drifts as if scattered around the gardens by a giant hand. Nevertheless they all conform to the delightful Andalucian style of the area with white walls and curved roof tiles which come in all shades of terra cotta. Various sizes cater for 2, 4, 5 or 6 people. Each of course has at least one balcony or patio for those open air meals or for relaxing in the sunshine, whilst inside one finds comfortable furnishings and a well equipped kitchen with electric hot plates. Efficient washing, showering and toilet facilities with constant hot water complete the comforts needed. Rental availability ranges from a minimum of two nights to long lets as required. Time-share and outright purchase is also possible. UK based naturist agents offer package deals. Car hire is available from reception where coach excursions can also be booked. The excellent recreation facilities within the complex include a swimming pool and children's pool heated by solar power as well as a Sauna and Jacuzzi. Sun loungers and beach umbrellas are available for use on the lawns by the pool. There is direct access to the long but narrow beach. At the weekly welcome party at the pool side bar, full time staff explain a programme of sporting activities which include volleyball, mini-ten, shuffleboard, boule, table tennis and pool as well as windsurfing, water-skiing, scuba diving and pedalo hire. The spacious restaurant can provide a full lunch and evening dinner service and in the summer months there is weekly evening entertainment and children's shows. An indoor "club room" offers satellite television on a 56 inch back projection screen. There is a well stocked small shop on site which will cater for most needs but there is also a local supermarket outside about 10 minutes walk away. The whole complex is run on a friendly basis with an emphasis on family naturist holidays, which is unlikely to appeal to those with more erotic interests. By now you will be wanting to know where it is and how to get there, and the answer is that Costa Natura is very accessible lying on the Spanish Costa del Sol 60 miles from Malaga Airport with flights to European cities and Madrid for International connections. Even nearer is Gibraltar 27 miles away with daily flights to London. A regular local bus runs from the Gibraltar border with Spain and stops right outside Costa Natura.
