o The European Naturist Resort Guide. The naturist Terrain Guide is an independent initiative to create a well structured source of information for all people searching for their ideal naturist holiday resort. This guide will give you clear information in 4 languages about most naturist resorts in European countries. We still have a limited number of resorts with extended terrain information. We hope to improve this in the near future. Possibly you can help us in achieving this and inform terrain managers during your holiday of the existence of this website. We also would appreciate if you could help us completing, improving and correcting our database. Let us know if you find any errors, mistakes, mistypes, etc, or if you have any other good idea in improving our site. Of course we offer camping owners the possibility to exploit a full-blown website on the internet and present their terrain for a worldwide audience. Also included is a sample letter to write to resorts asking for information. This sample letter is in six languagues. Visit the site for additional information.

o Formentera Beach Report. Fuerteventura, Spain. April 2000 My son and I were in Corralajo in April 2000 and I will be there again in December with my wife. We booked accommodation from one of the two brochures specialising in nudist accommodation, Dune Leisure. Another company (Canarian Dreams) targets its marketing of some of the same properties on windsurfers as well as nudists and has its brochure on the internet. Sunseekers also books several properties common to the other companies. The 5 apartments in the complex were not nudist, but in the second week we were there most of the tourists were... o Fuerteventura Trip Report. Spring 1999. The main industry in Fuerteventura is tourism. The main tourists are Germans. The German attitude to nudity is reflected over the whole island. There are no naturist resorts as such but..... The Beaches. In a nut shell.... The beaches of Fuerteventura are ALL okay for naturist recreation with the possible exception of the main hotel beaches. There are three main areas to be aware of... (click link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks Steve for the report!
o Fuerteventura Trip Report. 1999. These photos were taken last August on the (gloriously warm) island of Fuerteventura. Annette (my partner) and myself spent 7 nights there and while there are no recognised naturist facilities on the island, we discovered, much to our pleasure, that almost all the beaches are clothes optional. However, while we advise discretion in areas with a high concentration of families with small children, we didn't experience any problems at all and would recommend the island to anybody looking for a quiet "get-away-from-it-all" holiday.... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Fuerteventura Trip Report. October 1998. Starting from Corralejo in the North of the island going clockwise, there are extensive sand dunes for about five miles with two large hotel complexes in the centre. Either side, volcanic rock circular windbreaks have been built by sunbathers to shelter from the winds that predominate this stretch of the coast. Nudity is in the majority on the full length of this part of the coast with the possible exception of the hotel beaches (we didn't visit them)... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Fuerteventura. This trip report is a conversation between several people and was originally posted on another message board. "Superb beaches....the biggest is on the east side just south of Corralejo (which is at the northernmost tip). Nudity is extremely relaxed on most beaches however (except around Caleta de Fustes) which is where a lot of tour operators go to." ... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Lanzarote Trip Report. November 1998. In late November we returned from yet another holiday to Lanzarote, the weather for the week was an acceptable 75 degrees. We stayed at Playa Blanca which is in the southeast of the island very close to the Papagyo peninsula where some of the best beaches can be found.... (click link to read the rest of the report.)

o Hotel Dania and Hotel Majec Report in Tenerife. December 2000. We went to Tenerife before Christmas, to the Hotel Dania in Puerto de la Cruz. The sister hotel, Hotel Majec, just over the road and under the same management, had a nudist sun terrace on the roof. There was a pool, bar and all other facilties, with no hassle at all. I would recommend the hotels to anyone who wants an all over tan with 4 star hotel accommodation. Thanks Colin and Susan for the report!

o (Nude) Beaches near Lisbon. July 2006. North of Lisbon. The web lists four beaches as naturist: Abano, Ursa, Adraga, and Ajuda. To get to the beaches, take the A2 west (from the airport you take the Second Circular out of the circle at the exit from the airport), exit to Cascais, and once you get into town follow the signs to Guincho. Continue past Guincho. The road winds high on the cliffs, and the beaches are at the bottom, with roads of varying quality leading to parking at the cliff at the top of the beach, from which you walk down to the beach (except for Adraga, where the parking is at beach level). These beaches are mediocre news for naturists. Abano is first. When I was there Abano was exclusively textile. Adraga is second. It had one unhappy-looking nude man at the far end of the beach. Aguda was fourth. You had to walk down a staircase of 230 steps, and when you got there there was nothing but textile bathers. All three beaches were topfree - with about a quarter of the women taking advantage of the practice. Adraga and Abano had excellent restaurants at the parking lot, and lifeguards. Aguda was unserviced. Amusingly, dogs were allowed on all of the beaches... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Carol's Guest House. Hello a warm welcome from me Carol Kneen, I am a English naturist who runs a naturist guest house in Portugal, Southern Europe. We are open 12 months a year, come join us! We have just moved from France to a new property in Portugal on 1st March 2004 - it is simply a Naturist Paradise. I would like to make contact with other open-minded, fun loving naturists. Our friendly guest house is an ideal place for naturists who want to enjoy the beautiful sunny naturist beaches of Southern Europe and also stay in a naturist environment with like-minded people. As we are often fully booked with returning regulars, please contact us as early as possible. Please note we are open through the winter as well, so why not join us for that winter break in HOT winter sun. Visit the site for more information.
o Escola de Arte de Ferragudo. 2000/2003. When visiting Portugal's Algave or West coast may we recommend the village of Ferragudo, probably the last un-spoilt fishing village left on Portugal's sunshine coast. The Escola de Arte de Ferragudo offers comfortable but basic rooms, in a range of converted farm buildings. Set in the grounds of the "Quinta da Horta" complete privacy is assured and the pool area is ideal for that all over tan. There are also several small beaches near by, where nudism is the norm. The Quinta's food is without doubt the best available in the area, and much of the produce used in the kitchens is organically produced on the Quanta's own farm. Facilities include a tennis court and large well equipped studio and library. Rates are very reasonable and full details can be obtained from Frances & David at the Escolar de Arte de Ferragudo, Quinta da Horta, Apt 2. 8401 906 Ferragudo. Lagoa. Portugal. 282 461 395. Check website for additional information. (See our listing in TanPages.com)
o Escola de Arte de Ferragudo - Naturist Painting & Holistic Holidays. September 2003. Clothing and Paintbrushes Optional in Portugal. What does a naturist artist wear at the Airport? We were being met by our host David, who, with his wife Frances and their children, run Escola de Arte de Ferragudo, our clothing optional holiday destination. It had been a long and tiresome flight and after a disgustingly early start, leaving a non-existent spring day in a miserable wet and windy northern European airport, we couldn't wait to get out in the warm sun, preferably around a swimming pool with a glass of chilled wine... click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)

o Naturest Portugal - Bed and Breakfast. Naturist bed & breakfast accommodation in rural Alentejo, Portugal. A peaceful setting for nudism. Swimming pool, boules. Several naturist beaches nearby. Naturest is a rural guesthouse offering naturists the opportunity to escape from the stresses of everyday life in a tranquil relaxing environment. Your hosts, Ray and Marnie, a friendly English couple, enjoy a naturist life at their Portuguese retreat, which will be open to fellow naturists from May 2006. Naturest is both naturist - we do not require our guests to dress at any time or anywhere, the choice is entirely yours. Ray & Marnie welcome all bona-fide naturists. Visit the site for more information.
o Naturest, Portugal. September 2006. Just returned from a week of rest at Naturest: Ray and Marnie, the hosts, made sure that my stay measured up to, and exceeded, what I had expected. This is a small and new place for those wanting to get away from it all, deep in rural Portugal. It is situated in hilly farming country, with good directions written in the website but if you intend to rent a car at the airport, I would recommend arriving in the daylight, or you may have to call Ray to come and guide you in! They promise simple, wholesome meals, but the food was excellent, and the company great. Ray & Marnie welcomed me to go with them on a trip to the Atlantic coast, and also on a shopping expedition to the Algarve. If you need to get away from it all, check out the Naturest website above. Thanks David for the report!

o Portugal's Algarve (south coast) beaches (October 1997). I went to Portugal's Algarve (south coast) with my family last year at the end of October. We had never been to Portugal before and were delighted by the places, the weather, and most of all the Portuguese. Visit the website for additional information.

o Benalnatura, Costa del Sol. September 2004. My wife and I have just come back from Benalnatura, Costa del Sol, Spain as (an almost) first time naturist couple in our early 30s. We first visited on a Saturday afternoon and there were approx. 200 people on the small, beautifully kept cove. The crowd was a mix of couples, single men and women and one or two families. Leading down some steep steps from the nearby parking, you walk immediately into the beach bar area where you can grab a drink and order some sandwiches/burgers etc and then sit under the shade watching the tide come in. The beach itself is sandy with small stones leading into the sea, where it is quite shallow for about 5m out. At the bar area are showers and washrooms. The showers are for members of benalnatura (you can join for 12 Euro), but all the other facilities are available to non-members. The food and drink is good value for money, with 1 large beer, a soft drink, a sandwich and a burger for around 9 euro. We visited again on a Monday morning and this time the crowd was smaller, but the bar was open (around 12 noon) and it soon filled up but not as busy as saturday naturally. To get there, travelling from Fuengirola on the N-340 towards malaga, take the Nueva Torrequebrada exit (which is just after the hotel Malibu on your right). As you take the exit, you will see signs for a playa de nudista straight ahead. Continue down the exit for about 300 meters to a roundabout and go straight through and up the other side where you will see cars parked either side of the road with some large apartments on your right. Park anywhere here and you will see a very large sign for the Benalnatura nudist beach. Visit their (outdated) website at http://www.arrakis.es/~benalnat/. The car park you see in the photos is now a series of Apartments and you park in front of the apts, but the beach is the same! We don't have much to compare it with, but we thought this beach was fantastic and it had a really nice atmosphere and we would recommend it highly. Enjoy! Thanks Ray for the report!
o Cabopino Beach, Costa del Sol. July 2006. We recently visited Cabopino beach and wanted to share our experience with you all. First of all, this is a Clothing Optional C/O beach, not truly a naturist beach. Access to the beach couldn't be easier. From the N340 main coast road, take the Capobino exit (it's clearly signed). Follow the signs for Puerto Cabopino. From a small traffic island just off the N340 junction, you will turn right into a dirt track car park. Don't park in the main car park section, but continue down the sand track towards the pine trees. The track itself is quite firm but be careful when you pull off the track to park. The sand is very soft and it's easy to get stuck. Go early to find a shady parking place under a tree! The further down you park, the nearer you will be to the C/O section when you finally reach the beach. From the car park (free, by the way), take one of the many paths through the pine trees and across the sand dunes. It's just a short walk to the beach. The beach itself is certainly one of the better ones I have seen on Costa del Sol. The sand is very clean and fine. The beach shelves very gently into the sea and you can easily wade out 40 yards or so and still be only waist deep. The sea was very calm when we visited, almost mill-pond flat, but I'm not sure if it's always that way. The sea was very clear, if still a little chilly for end of July. As I said, after a certain point, the beach is clothing optional rather than naturist. You will not mistake the C/O section, as there were many naked people. However, there were some large white marker buoys that have been concreted onto the beach. There was some text on them in Spanish which made reference to Zona Natura - my Spanish is useless, but I guessed that this was the point from which you could be naked, but it could have been a nature reserve for all I know! The C/O section extends to the West (to the right as you look at the sea) for a long way. I walked along about 200 yards past the beach bar and I was still in the C/O section. I'm not sure how much further it goes. The ratio of naked to textile beach users was easily 50/50 so you won't feel out of place. The mix of beach users was wide. Young families, extended families, young couples, older couples. The age range of naturists was 0 to 80-ish. We took a picnic, but there was a good beach bar to the right of the C/O section. Any negative points? Well only a few. Firstly, the high tide mark was high up the beach, so when the tide is in, the beach becomes very narrow, and therefore, people will make their camp for the day very close to you. Don't come here if you're searching for a secluded hideaway! Having said that, we visited on a Sunday, so there were many Spanish locals as well as foreign holiday makers using the beach. Maybe a week-day would be the best time to visit. A second negative point was the sand dunes. Well not the sand dunes themselves, but rather the type of people they attract. Single males prowling the dunes in a 'state of arousal' were certainly not welcome in my opinion. My final gripe was at high tide, it would have been nice if people had made an effort to prevent their rubbish from blowing around or being washed into the sea. In conclusion, we had a great day and would certainly recommend this beach if you are heading to the Costa del Sol for your holiday. Enjoy! Thanks Nick for the report!
o Los Caños de Meca en internet. Caños de Meca is a small tip on the Southern coast of Spain which has remained surprisingly unspoiled. It is situated near the straight of Gibraltar, close to the towns of Barbate and Zahara de los Atunes. White coloured sand beaches, clean waters, pinewoods, huge cliffs overlooking the sea … los Caños has a feeling of uniqueness and grandeur ! The area has become vulnerable, endangered by excessive urbanization, unbridled tourism and over-fishing. Nevertheless the beauty of the landscape procures it a distinctive charm. Visit the site for additional information.
o Charoshouses. In Charoshouses you can find independents apartments and duplex whith terraces facing the sea: the living room with open plan kitchen, one and two double roons and bathrooms with jacuzzi. Located on the exclusive naturism beach of the Playazo de Vera at 80 km, from the International airport of Almeria, Spain). Their general facilities includes; recepcion supermarket, laundry cafeteria restaurant, discopub gym and sauna, three swiming pools including one outdoor jacuzzi, and other one indoor to enjoy during winter and a childrens swiming pool. Visit the website for additional information.(See our listing in TanPages.com)
o Costa Brava Report. September, 1998. Arriving at Barcelona we traveled north along the sea towards France. Following directions from Luis Cortés we were able to find a few of his recommended beaches. One area is the Cap Ras peninsula near the french border, a uninhabited area wuth a number of beaches and coves, also a designated nude area.... (click link to see the rest of the report).
o Costa del Sol, Spain. May 2006. Having used your site to find the Nudist Beaches closest to the area on the Costa del Sol we were staying I feel it only fair to forward you the following report. Staying at a nice apartment situated equidistance between Benalnatura and Costa Natura it was a hard choice as to which beach to use. Benalnatura is, as you say, a small beach and well populated even during the week and can get a little crowded at weekends, so get there early. The shower facility is not free, but for a small donation to the 'Pot Pig' on the bar it can be used. It is possible to become a member for the year by paying 15 euros as a single member or 20 euros as a family member. Please join as this helps the community to stay strong. Whilst there I caught many languages and all the people were very friendly, the bar area is nude only and I saw one person being asked to vacate the area and refused service because they had clothes on. A variety of food and drinks are available from the bar, although they do tend to run out of some of the more popular eats. The bar opens at about 11:00am ish. Costa Natura beach is a larger beach and is accessed around a stony headland, that can be a little daunting when the tide is in. There is a snack bar that is part of the Costa Natura complex that sells the usual drinks and food bits. No toilets could be accessed that we could find. We found the Costa Natura beach not as friendly as the Benalnatura beach as so tended to use the Benalnatura beach more. Should anyone require the address of the apartment we stayed or any further information then please feel free to contact us at zebb747@hotmail.com. Thanks Zebb for the report!
o Costa del Sol Report. July 2001. Just back from one of the best holidays in years. After a lot of confusion and wrong information given by locals, I found Cabo Peno and Playa Nudista (Torre Quebrada) in Costa Del Sol. Cabo Peno is used by both naturists and other sun bathers as well. The beach is wide and slopes gradually into the sea unlike most beaches which have rocks below the water level making it unsuitable to swim. This beach is near Calahonda and is about 3 bus stops (bus no. 19 from Fuengirola going towards Marbella) from the Club Algaida which can be seen from the bus. Playa Nudista is in Benalmadena and can be reached by bus (no.10 from Fuengirola going towards Malaga). The bus journey takes about 20/25 minutes. The taxi fare from Fuengirola to Playa Nudista varies between cab companys and can cost between 1500-1800 pess. each way. This beach is exclusively for nudists and the people running the restaurant/bar are very friendly and helpful. Thanks Mina for the report!
o First Time at Benal Natura, Benalmadena, Cosa del Sol, Spain. Summer 2001. May I say that whilst on holiday in Spain my partner noticed a nudist beach sign and seeing as we had spoke about it a few weeks earlier in Southend, we decided to give it a go. Well it was the best thing we had done together, we both found it liberating and totally natural, we can't wait for our next holiday now. Thanks Mike for the report!

o First Time in Spain Report. Summer 2002. My first time was last summer at Tusales Beach, a clothing optional beach at Alicante (Spain) where my parents have an apartment. I never had intention about going to that beach because I didn't like the idea of being nude in front of other people. Modesty was a rule at home, even with my mother or sister, and with close friends at lokers or hotels in holidays I always kept the towel wrapped around if I was getting out of the shower or wear at least my panties. But this summer, my first as married, I went to spend some days to the apartment with my husband, who knew about the existance of the beach reading touristic information and proposed going to the beach. He never had been before at a nudist beach and wanted to try it. I didn't want to go but finally accepted by his insistance but leaving him very clear I was going to wear my bikini... o Naturism in Spain By Luís Cortés. Is Spain really a naturist vacation option? read on you'll be surprised to find out just how far naturism has developed in Spain in the last twenty years, you will be so surprised by the positive forward development of naturism in this country, you'll will immediately discard any old harboured misconceptions you might of had about Naturism in Spain. Spain is one of the most favoured vacation destinations in the world, yearly it receives on the average of fifty million visitors, with such a high number of guests it is plausible to say that many tens of thousands of these visitors are naturists. Due to the lack of information of the past, many a naturist has only found the naturist possibilities Spain had to offer, by sheer luck or by word of mouth only, the lucky ones read trip reports and articles in naturist magazines, usually describing one location only and normally reported by a foreign visitor to the country. o Playa Naturista Benalnatura, Benalmádena, Spain, Report. May 27, 2001. My wife and I just returned from a great 15-day trip to Spain's Costa del Sol where we stayed in a beachfront hotel in the Playa Bajondillo section of Torremolinos. Torremolinos (literally, windmills tower) is located 12 km from Malaga and has great beaches, restaurants, and shopping; and is also quite overrun with tourists from all over the world. While I did all the tourist things my wife wanted us to do, I still managed to visit two nearby nudist beaches twice each, and alone... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)

o Vera Natura Report. June 2002 Travelling with Peng, I flew from Manchester direct to Almeria, where the five of us off our flight we were met by a 25 seater coach for the 70 minute journey to Vera Natura. Vera Natura is one of several developments which are springing or have sprung up in the coastal strip north of the town of Garrucha. The whole of the area to the seaward side of the main road is a designated naturist zone, and what is nice is that there are no barriers, you just turn off the road and there you are in the naturist zone. Vera Natura itself is a gated resort with four entrances controlled by magnetic key, plus the main reception area which you pass through to enter. There are 25 "bloques" (or "blokes" as we quickly christened them!) with generally 8 apartments to each. I had a ground floor one bedroom apartment the first week, and a first floor two bedroomed apartment the second week, when a friend of mine joined me for that week (though he was a day late arriving because of the general strike in Spain on the day he was due to arrive)... o Zona Nudista, Playa del Campo de Golf, Málaga, Spain, Report. May 28, 2001. As I mentioned in my last trip report on Playa Naturista Benalnatura, I visited two nudist beaches during my just completed 15-day trip to Spain's Costa del Sol. The first beach was Benalnatura in Benalmádena Costa and the second was the nude beach more recently officially established by the Málaga city government (ayuntamiento) on Playa del Campo de Golf. Playa del Campo de Golf is the western most beach within the city limits of Málaga and is adjacent to the Parador del Golf (a highly rated golf course which also provides lodging for golfers). According to a large sign placed by the ayuntamiento at the western end of the beach, the beach will be maintained in a semi-primitive state by the prohibition of urbanization in order to preserve the existing ecology...
