o Singles Information. This is a list of the singles policies of the clubs and resorts in the United States. (This list is being updated constantly.)

o Atlantic Shores Resort closed in 2007.
o American Nudist Research Library. DEDICATED TO PRESERVING NUDIST HISTORY WITH A COMPREHENSIVE ARCHIVE OF NUDIST MATERIAL. Welcome to the American Nudist Research Library® (ANRL). The Library was established in 1979 to preserve the history of the social nudist movement in North America and throughout the world. It is a repository of material rather than a circulating library. Visitors may read or view most of the collection as long as they are in the Library. The Library is enjoyed most by individuals and groups who treasure on-going nudist activities, and who wish to participate in a sincere effort to preserve the unique history of the movement. Visit the site for additional information.
o Bay Bares Park. Bay Bares are a bunch of folks who get together regularly for the pleasure of each other's company, the kind of fun that can only happen when like-minded people are around one another. We cherish our time in the sun and the beautiful park we have built together to spend it in. We are families, couples, and single people who have re-learned what a joy it is to relax and play without the restrictions imposed by a clothes-compulsive society. Bay Bares Park is not a business establishment. We are a private club, and a Florida not-for-profit corporation (LSN, Inc.), which could also be described as a co-op. We've been around about 7 years, but have grown an awful lot here lately, and we're up to over 80 members (...well, that's a lot to us!). Visit the site for additional information.
o Cabanas Guesthouse. The award-winning Cabanas Guesthouse is Fort Lauderdale’s premier clothing-optional gay male destination. Featuring 18 Key West style units, The Cabanas is a riverfront compound that is the closest to the gay nightlife, shopping and dining in Wilton Manors. Amenities include a hot steamroom, 10-man Jacuzzi, as well as a full size heated pool, kayaks and bikes. Visit the website for additional information.
o Caliente Resort is a major new nude recreation club, destination resort and residential community. The 96-acre site, 20 miles north of Tampa, Florida, features two lakes with white sand beaches, nature preserves, and mature trees. Caliente will have vacation cottages, hotel rooms, six tennis courts, three heated swimming pools, water and beach volleyball, petanque, shuffleboard and horseshoes, several bars and restaurants, an exercise studio and shops. "A perfectly natural community in the heart of nudist country." Check the website for additional information.
o Caliente Resort. May 2007. I had a meeting to attend in Sarasota, but I had an afternoon off, and I went up to Caliente. This is an upscale resort just north of Tampa, in Pasco County, a naturist-friendly county with a number of clothing optional resorts. I visited Caliente on a weekday last year, and it was very quiet. Last Saturday it was booming. You drive in past the gate - the clothed woman at the gate who, I had assumed, would check my TNS card (because I was a single male) just waved me on in, and told me to register at the gate. This was not what I expected, given the stern warning on the web that single men would not be admitted unless they had been AANR members for more than a year (I am not, but I was prepared to argue my legitimacy by showing my NetNude posts!)... o Naturally Caliente! A Newcomer Nude’s Naked Observations by Madelyn Greco. 2006. Published with the permission of the author - Madelyn Greco. The main passions of my life currently all seem to afford some interesting opportunities, body-painting being no exception. The majority of the local work we do involves body-painting for theater, art galleries, special events, fashion shows, film and photography. We’re fortunate though, to have enough demand for our talents that we are also able to travel. I am the "marketing director" for our two-artist company, Living Brush Body-painting. As such, I sent out a flurry of press releases via the web this past July, after our successful attempt on the Guinness World Record for "Most Painted Bodies in a Day". I was hoping to land an especially desirable gig for Halloween, a time when our services are greatly in demand... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Caliente Resort. May 2006. I had a few hours before a plane in Tampa, so I drove up to Caliente. You take Veteran's HIghway from the airport (a toll road), get off at Exit 13, Dale Mabry Highway (this is past the second toll plaza), take the world's longest exit ramp (3 miles!), go left on Dale Mabry, which becomes Route 41. Just before Route 41 merges from three lanes to two you will see a large sign for Caliente Resort-Spa on your right. I had called the sales office to get a look around (I had not realized that they waived the entry fee if you go through the sales office, but I saved $21.00), but it turned out that my TNS card was 7 days out of date, and I was a single male. The nice people ultimately decided was not a perv, and let me in. At the sales office they took my information, and gave me a sheet of the rules for me to sign. Beyond the usual no sex, sit on a towel rules they had a detailed description of the piercings that were allowed and not allowed (only one nipple ring per nipple; one body piercing, which can be a genital piercing but not on the penis). They certainly attend to details. There are all sorts of different accomodations, from McMansions some of which were more than a million dollars, to little prefab 'casitas' which looked like stucco covered trailers, town homes, condos. There is also a motel. The club house is huge. When I arrived there were about 20 middle aged and older clothed women having lunch together. The pool area is immense, with a small conversation pool, a huge freeform pool 3.5 to 4 feet deep with a waterfall at one end, two beach volleyball courts, a water volleyball pool, and hot tubs. There is a steam room, sauna, and health club. The people around the pool were entirely nude except for a boy who was about 12. He was from England, and obviously irritated at his naturist parents. Did they bribe him with a trip to Disneyland? There was also a young couple who wore bottoms. They took them off to go into the pool and never put them back on. I had a very good grouper sandwich at the pool bar. There is a spa, and someone was having an undraped massage at poolside. Two days before I had visited friends at the Longboat Key Club, an upscale textile condominium community in Sarasota. The atmosphere was very much the same - a quiet resort community with some retirees. Except for the nudity. It is a far cry from the nudist colonies of the 50's.Thanks Mickey for the report. CFN holds an affiliate charter, as a non-landed club, with the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), the oldest and largest nudist organization in the U.S. As such, our primary goal is the designation of public lands for clothing optional recreation use, while at the same time promoting the protection and preservation of our natural resources through education. o Cypress Cove Resort Report. October 2013. I had another great 4 days last weekend (thurs-sun) at the cove. It was my third time there and my wife's first time. Everything was great as usual everybody was so friendly. We met a few new friends and the wife wanted to look into buying a trailer there or getting a tow trailer to spend one weekend a month there. I'm 46 and it was nice to see a somewhat younger crowd there. A brand new mother and husband both 28. I've been seeing the same thing down at Haulover beach as well a much younger crowd. I've noticed in both places as well that I'd say 90% young and old shave completely smooth, 5% are tightly trimmed or have some sort of strip/design and the rest full bushes. The weather was great and we can't wait to go back. I've been to 3 or 4 other resorts and I have to say the cove is the best place I've been to. Thanks M050267 for the report!
o Cypress Cove Resort Report. April 2011. We (my wife and I) just spent a fun-filled, very enjoyable week at Cypress Cove. We went a few days early because the Travelites (Cheri's Travelites) had organized a gathering there, and we also stayed past the weekend they left. We stayed in our RV at a nice level spot with a concrete patio. Other RV'ers would be interested to know the electrical voltage and water pressure at the site was very good. Everyone we met was very friendly. The WiFI was good and we didn't have any trouble with it. The restaurant served good food and the Saturday night we were there there was an entertainer who did a tribute to Billy Joel, the Piano Man. It was very relaxing. There are two locations for a pool and hot tub. The older one has a rectangle swimming pool and hot tub inside an enclosure. The newer one has a freeformed pool and the hot tub is out in the open. A snack bar separates the two areas. There were plenty of lounge chairs at both places. If you don't like lying out on the concrete, there are also grassy areas. There was a place to get a massage, a hair salon, and a Boutique. We always travel with a small dog and one thing we really liked was there were three chain-link enclosed areas where you could let your pet off the leash and let them run and play, and take care of 'their business'. And several other areas that were not enclosed that also served as the dog walk areas. Bags and pooper scoopers were even provided. There were two Publix grocery stores nearby, as well as a Wal-Mart, and several other department/home improvement stores. A 7-11 was right across the street in case you needed something quick (like bread or milk). This was one trip we hated to end. We both enjoyed it very much. We paid more for the price of gasoline on our trip than we did for a full week in the campground. So I guess that means the next time we go, we'll just have to stay longer...Thanks mid_tn_cpl for the report!

You can be in any state of dress or undress that suits your comfort level. Topless is Ok, although I prefer to be nude when there. Just enjoy your libations and the sun in the nude. During the day the patrons are mainly local nudists and are very friendly people. In the evening it is more tourists looking to see nude people. Thanks John for the report!

Visit the site for additional information.
o Haulover Beach Report. April 2008. It's 11 am on a Monday morning. I arrive and find the closest parking spot I could get. Which at this time of the day is not hard to do. As I walk toward the beach access tunnel, I am greeted by the usual lush tropical wooded area. After two years of absence I am expecting to see the same sights as I have come to know. Emerging from the wooden bridge that takes you through the wooded area I see that they have painted the access tunnel a shade of mauve inside and out. An unexpected surprise, the 1st of a few. Noticing the opposite end of the tunnel painted the same color, I emerge from the tunnel to find the next pleasant surprise. A paved sidewalk made of concrete tile and sodded grass on the sides. Expecting to see an old tired restroom facility, I am delighted to see that it has been completely renovated. Complete with showers just to the outside of the restroom entrances. The outside painted with white and mauve stripes. The walkway goes around and past the restrooms connecting to a service road. I have to bring my bike, skates or blades next time. I notice there is a crosswalk created by stone tiles guiding you to the beach access through the bushes and trees that provide a barrier. Next I see a beach side shower facility and benches to sit as you clean up from the days activities. No more need to cover up to shower. This is a real delight as you can go back and forth if needed. The day was a beautiful 80 degrees with a north west breeze. Not a cloud in the sky. The seas were almost flat. 2 feet at the most. Looking around I see plenty of open spaces to set things up and get comfortable. After several hours I braved the cool waters of the Atlantic. Chilly at first, but I got used to it in a short time. I see that the beach is not that crowded. I imagine it to be quite different on the weekends. As I remember from all my times before. I ended the visit by remarking how I will have to come back on a weekend and play volleyball and explore the many improvements that have taken place and to do more things while I'm here at the beach. See you at the beach. Thanks RC for the report!
o Haulover Beach Report. April 2007. I visited Haulover during a weekday afternoon. Rather than tell you what we all know and love about naturism, let me tell you what I saw at Haulover. Not less than four men masturbating in plain sight, and at six or seven strategically positioned to get an eye-full (legs spread) of the few women that were there. One guy decided that the restroom was too far away and relieved himself at the edge of the beach into the grass...in full view of everyone. I am disappointed about what I saw on my FIRST visit to Haulover. Having been a nudist for eighteen years and experienced nude recreation around the world, I have never seen anything like this, and I won't likely return, especially with a family. I'll stick to resorts where the behavior is modeled after the nudist ideal. Thanks David for the report!
o Haulover Beach Report. February 2007. We went to the Haulover Beach about a week ago and took a chance on the weather as it called for showers. They were few and far between and the day was just beautiful. Folks just congregate under the shelters or their umbrellas. But there was lots of sun and it made for a very enjoyable day at Haulover. Not having been there before we were surprised to find it so accessible. It truly is the Number 1 tourist attraction in Miami. Folks are respectful and friendly, but do not infringe on your privacy. Sure there are a few oddballs and gawkers, but they are easily outnumbered by the everyday people who come to the beach to enjoy it naturally. The water is warm, although being from Atlantic Canada that may be relative to what we are used to. There were certainly more people than we usually see at a naturist beach, but it is almost a family type of atmosphere and you feel totally safe while at the beach. Great spot for first time naturists as you could see some timid ones that were not sure, but after a few minutes were completely nude. No one is concerned about your body type or its condition. Overall a very accepting place to be naked and enjoy the sun and water. Not to be missed if you enjoy the freedom of a naturist beach. Thanks Frank and Marion for the report!
o Haulover Beach Report. January 2007. I made my first trek to Haulover Beach in January ’07, while most of the U.S. was chilling with snow and ice storms. There are several Haulover reports posted on NetNude and lots more info is available on the web, so I’ll limit this report to my experience and some current updates. I stayed 3 days and 4 nights at the Ocean Palm Motel for $100US per night, which is still fairly reasonable for lodging right on the beach during high season. The place is still hanging on, with minimal maintenance to keep the aging rooms and facilities going. With the Days Inn gone, Ocean Palm is the only hotel remaining near Haulover. Rumors have been spreading that the owner sold it, but he hasn’t, yet, and plans to operate for at least 1 more year. Three tall towers are being built to the north, making for an unattractive view and rude morning wake-up calls by construction noise... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Haulover Beach Report. February 1, 2006. It's Wednesday February 1 2006: another day, another year at Haulover Nude Beach between Bal Harbor and Sunny Isles Beach, South Florida. Some clouds in the early morning sky and the cool 66 F will not keep away the many people coming to this wonderful beach later on and during the day, as always, when the sun warms it up. The "snowbirds" have already arrived in big numbers since some time and they all enjoy with us the freedom and the nature around here and in themselves. As the building-process is going on like crazy all around here and along the ocean, this beach park remains the true oasis of sun and green and relaxation! Hopefully local politicians and administrators will keep on understanding this and how important this is for everybody to be preserved: for the many people coming here just because of this. There is an estimate of one and a half million dollars income only from the parking fees and if you ever had a look up and down the other beaches here, there is not even one place so much visited. To be sincere, some improvement, like more showers and better toilets would not be bad, as it surely is not pleasant, seeing somone in urge just peeing to the sand or at the shoreline. The food and beverage service has much improved, since there is a new contractor now, even though it seems not nice, that chairs and umbrellas are not more carried in, but driven through the people lying in the sand with a mini tractor. I find this quite disturbing. It is also not understandable, why they sell beer there, nevertheless "alcoholic beverages" are forbidden by the county - orders on this beach as well as the widely practiced smoking of substances. At Haulover there is always the good old OCEAN PALM MOTEL which is directly on the beach and minutes away from Haulover nude beach in walking distance along the seashore. It is nothing fancy, but OK and the people are quite nice, especially "Robert". Prices rank from 80 to 120 Dollars plus tax a nite for two (at this time of the year)including a little breakfast, which is given in the office or for takeaway from there to your room. Street-address: 15795 Collins Avenue (which is A1A) at the trafficlight for 158th Street = Bayview Drive. SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL (was: N Miami Beach) 33160. Phone: 1.305.947.5671 (24/24) Anyway, let us hope, that this beach can stay open as long as possible, the way it is now: cloth optional! Thanks Gehay for the report.

o Hidden River Resort is a new clothing optional facility located on the Florida/Georgia line between Jacksonville and Lake City. The swimming pool was completed in early November. Telephone: (912) 843-2603. Visit the site for additional information.

We are affordable, you are encouraged to bring your own food and beverages - full kitchen and BBQs are available. We are one of Florida's oldest nudist clubs, founded in 1948 and we often called "The Best-Kept Secret Among Florida Nudists". We are owned and operated by our members - not-for-profit, but for the enjoyment of our members and guests. WELCOME VISITORS AND COME RE-DISCOVER THE OLD FLORIDA!
o Johnson Beach near Pensacola. January 2007. It is a little-known, but naturist-friendly and often-used beach. It is on the east end of Perdido Key, between Pensacola and Gulf Shores. After entering the main park area, drive down the frontage road along the beach (about 2 miles) and park near the end of the road. Walk about a quarter mile east on the ocean side until you see a camping sign, and you're in the nudist-friendly area. There usually aren't more than 10 people here, but the rangers know what goes on and allow it, as long as there are no children or protesting beach-goers around. The person who sent me the information wished to remain anonymous but thanks for the information!
o Key West Report. January 2009. My wife and I vacationed, for our 3rd time, since 2004, in Key West. Our previous vacations we secured lodging at Marrero's. No room was available for our 3rd vacation (due to Parrothead weekend & powerboat races). This time we stayed at a B&B: The Knowles House. The initial reason we chose Knowles was their clothing optional sundeck. The sundeck was great for sunning. Their hot tub & conversation pool are not C/O (out of respect for their non-nudist guests) Our hosts, Les & Paul, worked hard at making sure that our needs were met at all times. Their concierge abilities to offer advice and ensure your stay in Key West was everything you wanted, whether it was a local tourist attraction or a restaurant recommendation. Our pleasant discovery on this vacation was yet another c/o sailing adventure. In the past we have gone with out with No Wake Charters, run by Capt. Ran Baird. Regrettably on this vacation Ran had a mechanical issue with the vessel and was confined to port to await parts for necessary repair. As a result we did some searching amongst the sailing charters in the marina (within 10 minutes walking distance of Knowles house). We met Capt. Carla of Key West Eco Tours during our search. We told her we were looking for a charter that was nude or C/O friendly. Her answer: no problem. The day we chose was sun challenged due to the very remote effects of hurricane south of Cuba. That didn't dampen our spirits though. We still got to kayak, snorkel (nude) & see dolphins up close. On board was a couple on their honeymoon, Capt. Carla, my wife & I. Capt. Carla was a great hostess with a wealth of knowledge and experience of the local Gulf waters. We enjoyed both charters and can only say you won't be dissappointed with either one and suggest you try both. Thanks Bob for the report!
o Lake Como Naturally , Florida's original nude recreation community, has occupied the same beautiful 200-acre site in southern Pasco County since 1940. Lake Como operates a full service restaurant/lounge and lakeside pub. There is a large heated swimming pool, sauna, and relaxing, screen enclosed hot tub. Sports facilities include: tennis, volleyball, petanque, horseshoes, shuffleboard, billiards. The centerpiece of Lake Como's park-like setting is a 35 acre lake with two swimming beaches, picnic areas, and a choice of sunning lawns or cool shade. The lake is popular for fishing and boating. Many days, colorful sailboats enhance the beauty of the lake. Paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks are available for rent. Singles friendly. Visit the site for additional information.
o Lake Como Report. March 2014. My wife and I recently got our first chance to visit Lake Como resort in Lutz, Florida (lakecomonaturally.com). We have always wanted to, but never could count on the weather over the Christmas holiday period - the only time I could get away - and for the most part we were proven correct when looking back in hindsight. We chose instead to go to Cayo Largo, Cuba, and have always had great weather over that period. But with my recent retirement, I am able to take advantage of my wife's more flexible work schedule, and we booked an extended weekend trip for the end of March.

We flew Allegiant Air from Niagara Falls, NY to St. Pete's, rented a car there, and made the short drive to Lake Como (you take your life in your hands on #41 there!!). The people at Lake Como were expecting us and offered to upgrade our motel room from one with a shared bath, to one with a private bath due to some upgrading construction they were undertaking. The "motel" is a 2-unit concrete bunker in the middle of the resort a short 5-minute walk to the pool, Bare Buns Cafe and Butt Hutt bar. It featured a king-sized bed a large HD TV, and was perfectly comfortable during our stay.

Lake Como resort, for those of you who haven't been there, is a beautiful place, surrounding a fairly large lake, and consisting of all the amenities you could want for a short vacation, or an extended "snowbird" winter. The immediate area near the main buildings is an older trailer park with quite a wide variety of places, many of which have been there from the resort's inception in 1941, I'm sure. We saw a couple for sale with prices ranging from $8,000 for a tiny trailer, to $28,000 for a larger single-wide. As you venture farther out into the newer area the trailers turn more into mobile homes, double-wides with larger lots, until you get to the far end of the resort where luxury rules, and places go for upwards of $100,000. Also out in that area are the more mobile of the residents and visitors... those who bring their fifth-wheels, and huge RVs back and forth each year. And there are a couple of beautiful single-wides that the resort owns and make available for rental ! units. We have been naturists for many years, and have visited all the major naturist parks in Ontario, a couple in the north eastern US, and were members New Forest (now Bare Oaks) so we knew what to expect in terms of being there.

We had planned to visit some local shopping malls should the weather be cool or rainy. What we didn't expect was the number of "instant" friends we made. While at dinner the first evening, we met Jean-Claude and his wife Patricia, from Quebec, who invited us to join them at karaoke in the Butt Hutt later that night. Jean-Claude turns out to be a great singer, and he and I took turns at the mic. They explained that they just purchased a trailer in the park, had us back to it for a night-cap, and offered to rent the place to us should we ever decide to come down for an extended stay! Count on it! The next morning we met a couple who lived in the former Four Seasons resort near Guelph. They told us that it had recently been sold and that the new owner decided to make it non-naturist. Bad news! Later that afternoon was the weekly music jam, again in the large screened and covered deck of the Butt Hutt. There we met Reid and Margaret from Uxbridge. Reid is another excellent musician, singer and guitar player who we find out knows several of the same musicians I do back in the Toronto folk scene, and shares a love of Gordon Lightfoot's music. Later that evening we spent a few hours in their fifth-wheeler trading songs, and exchanging emails for getting together when they return to Canada in May. Saturday afternoon was the club's annual Blues Fest with three blues bands performing from 1 in the afternoon to 7 at night. Normally this event is held outdoors, but because of the severe thunder storm - complete with tornado warnings (remember that motel bunker? that's where I was planning to head should one touch down!) - they played in the Butt Hutt. It was impossible to find a seat as people come from off-site just for the music.

The weather finally brightened up for Sunday and Monday and we took advantage of the sun and the quiet to lounge by the pool and walk along several of the trails that wind around the lake. Our rental car never moved from the day we parked it until the time we left. It was very hard to have to pack up, but it was good to know that there are many new friends waiting for us to return.... and return we will. Thanks Bill for the report.
o Lake Como Report. April 2009. I enjoyed my stay at Lake Como. The people were fine. I am not pushy and I don't want to appear to forward but the few people I talked to were pleasant. It does take me a while to mingle so I didn't get to do to much of that. I like the restaurant. It was like a neighborhood place in a middle class area. The food was fine with me but I'm not to fussy and the prices were reasonable. I didn't find it necessary to leave the resort to eat but I'm a good eater and enjoy most things. I did have the crab cakes one evening but being from Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay area that was a mistake. Nothing can compare with our crab cakes. LOL. There is a small bar in the restaurant and a TV. You also can eat outside in the screened in area. The staff was friendly. The Butt Hut which opens about 4 was not my type of place but I'm not much of a drinker and the smoke does bother me. The bartender was friendly and the people seemed to be having a good time. I would have stayed longer and returned for my diet cokes if it wasn't for the smoke. Since I was there during the week I did not get to attend the dance (I do like to dance) or other week end activities. I spent 2 days there and had one of their older rooms with a private bath. It was small but was OK since I was by myself. It cost about $60 (2009 rate) per night plus tax and daily fees. On the second day I was there I toured a lake side cottage that had a kitchen and living room that would give you more privacy since it was not attached to another dwelling. It ran in the $80 (2009 rate) a night range. These dwellings were close to the pool, restaurant, and rec room. They also had what they called cabins, which were single wide new trailers set up in the recreational vehicle area. They were nice and had a cabin like siding. They were well equipped with one bedroom, kitchen, living room, small screened in porch and cable TV. They also ran about $80 (2009 rate) a night for a 2 night minimum. The one disadvantage they had was they were about an 8 minute walk (4/10 mile) from the pool, restaurant, rec room etc. Of course you could drive your car or rent a golf cart if you didn't want to walk. Thanks Rich for the report.

o Naturists of Southwest Florida.  Free nude pool parties and other clothing-optional social events all take place in the area around Naples and Fort Myers. Everything is free for members of this friendly naturist social club, which is the largest nudist group in southwest Florida. The club currently has over 1,200 members, both singles and couples, who all get free membership, parties, foods, drinks, excursions, etc. All expenses are paid by the group's leaders, Peter Kacalanos and Suzanne Cherney, to encourage more Floridians to enjoy nude social recreation. Many of the events are held in the leaders' home and garden in Naples. Everyone can stroll and sunbathe nude in their half-acre garden, secluded from the neighbors by tall hedges. Members and their guests can skinnydip in the pool, heated to a comfortable 85 degrees all year long. The free parties always include a chat-and-snack session, where everyone shares foods and drinks while making new friends. (One can never have too many naked friends.) Most of the socializing takes place in the large (36' x 60') screened enclosure, with no worry about mosquitoes. Newcomers are always welcome at these events, even if they've never before been nude in mixed company. All our get-togethers are clothing-optional. You can attend wearing as much or as little as you like, with no pressure to undress. You'll soon feel comfortable in this safe environment, where children can attend with their parents, and non-nudists will readily be welcomed by our nudist members. No true naturists ever judge others by their dimensions or age or appearance, so you needn't feel embarrassed about how you look. None of us would ever qualify for a modeling job. Full details and photos of all the previous and upcoming parties are at the group's extensive website. For further details you can write to the leaders at PeterSuzanne2(at)hotmail.com, or call them at (239) 331-2858. Visit the site for additional information.

o Paradise Lakes Report. February 2008. I arrived at Paradise Lakes on Friday February 22, 2008 at about 3PM. Fortunately the weather was cooperating so I was able to enjoy all the facilities. The staff was friendly and the accommodations were excellant. They have a regular pool, a heated pool (92 degrees) and a hot tub, as well as a Key West Bar, a restaurant, and a night club. I think it is a good place for a couple if you like to socialize with like-minded people and enjoy dancing. You have a lot of options. There has been some statements about overt sexual activities at PL. There are signs around the heated pool that management may have you removed if that happens. They also had security at the pool and I did not see anything that would be considered offensive. Also there was a sign asking you to report anything you considered offensive to the management. The club had a good crowd for the DJ dance and the Key West Bar had a Karaoke Night that was well attended. Thanks Rich for the report!

o Singer Island Report. May 2007. This report is on Singer Island just north of Palm Beach, FL in the John D. MacArthur State Park and Beach. The park charges a $4.00 entrance fee per car. From 8:00 to 4:00 there is a shuttle that takes you from the parking lot to the beach across a .3 mile long wooden bridge to the beach... o South Florida Free Beaches (SFFB) is dedicated to the establishment of clothing-optional beaches in South Florida. It is a not-for-profit group of volunteers begun in 1980. We are organized to promote the concept and ideals of naturism as a way of life, and to secure the establishment of clothing-optional beaches, parks and recreation areas. We believe that exposure of the entire body to sun, sea and air is beneficial. During National Nude Weekend of 1991, we "officially" established a clothing-optional section of Haulover Beach in Miami-Dade County, Florida. SFFB has worked since then to maintain and secure this quarter mile section of beach against local and statewide threats. Newsletter, nude news, art & poetry, Haulover Beach, law & politics, hotels & maps. Visit the site for additional information.

The organization was formed with three distinct purposes in mind: to provide, a clothing-optional venue for nudists and naturists to socialize with like-minded people, to provide advice and counseling to elected and appointed officials thereby helping them deal with simple nudity issues on private and public lands, and to actively campaign for legally designated areas within local county owned spaces for clothing-optional recreation. SCN members continue to enjoy a diverse selection of social activities that include, pool parties at member’s homes, boating trips to local barrier islands, weekend trips to nudist resorts, croquet parties, and monthly dinners held at area wide restaurants. o Sunny Sands Nudist Resort Report. May 2008. Sunny Sands is in Pearson, Florida. The last time I was there, meeting a friend from Hidden River Resort , I had heard that Sunny Sands was being sold. If it has been sold, the new owners are doing a nice job maintaining the place. While I've never been disappointed with Sunny Sands, on this trip I found a few changes and improvements. The first thing I noticed was a new, convenient "ticket booth" gatehouse at front of the entrance, much like the one at Cypress Cove in Kissimmee. The perimeter fence of some kind of plastic sheeting that had been showing signs of wear (holes) has now been replaced with a new fence of either metal or vinyl panels. There also appeared to be some remodelling or construction work going on at the club house. Most noticeable were the changes in the short "nature trail". Before it was more "nature" than "trail", not that there is anything wrong with that, but now the trees and underbrush have been nicely cleared and trimmed. The spot on the trail that once featured a weather-worn weight lifting set is now the 6th hole of the small golf course with a pair of lawn chairs. The current drought has reduced the pond that had been the centerpiece of the golf course to a pair of 20 foot puddles, but it will cycle back to normal some day. I walked the trail twice. I had picked up a box lunch at the convenience store in Pearson before coming to the park and I sat at a picnic table in the shade to enjoy my lunch of chicken fingers and grape juice. The pool was a perfect temperature to relax in. As I was "suiting up" to leave a young lady walking by, apparently a resident, and said something about getting dressed being the worst part. I agreed, and answered that it was time for me to go back to the "real" world. She replied that living at Sunny Sands is like living in Paradise. I can't argue with that. Harper in Florida. Thanks Harper for the report.

o Sunsations Nudist Travel Club members enjoy the hot summer weather by soaking in various swimming pools while conducting club meetings in their trademark 'roundtable' style. The club is proud of its democratic format, which included everyone's input in designing the club’s attractive new logo and banner, as well as in planning various public relations events. The absence of a landed facility doesn’t seem to slow the growing membership, in fact the variety of destinations has become another unique characteristic of this progressive club. It has been suggested this is more of a food club than a nude club, because of the potlucks held at nearly every Saturday afternoon meeting. Events include trips to clothing-optional beaches, nudist resorts, wilderness destinations, and private house parties. Singles are welcome. To learn more about this fun-oriented group visit the web site, call 941-931-2939 or write Sunsations, 9131 College Pkwy, 13-B-203, Fort Myers, FL 33919. Singles friendly. Visit the site for additional information.

o Tampa Area Naturists (TAN) is a naturist organization in the Tampa Bay area. Our mission is to educate everyone, with special consideration given to legistators and public officals, about the benefits of clothing optional recreation. Our goal is to obtain publicly managed, officially sanctioned, clothing-optional beaches in the greater Tampa Bay area. We have been to some of the various Florida Naturist sites, including Haulover Beach in Miami and Playalinda Beach at Cape Canaveral. Our group has enjoyed the relative security of these two officially designated clothing-optional beaches. Tampa Bay and the west coast of Florida has no such beach and if we don't do something about this situation, we can't expect it to get any better. So in that light, we are looking for like minded people who are willing to get involved and work for a clothing-optional beach in the greater Tampa Bay area. If you would like to help, or would like detailed information about the times and places of our activities, please complete the on-line membership form and then send your dues for TAN and/or TNS. Give this address to your friends, recruit like minded people, call us to share your ideas and come to our outings and meetings. Visit the website for additional information.
