o Atlantic Shores Resort Report. A few weeks ago my wife and I spent a weekend in Key West. It was our first visit and certainly not our last. It is a really delightful place with a wonderful ambience and character to it. We spent the early parts of our two days there shopping and sightseeing. We took a self-guided walking tour from which we learnt a lot about the history of Key West as well as seeing a considerable number of old and historic houses and other buildings. In the evening we ate at very good restaurants of which there are plenty! They are not cheap compared to the part of Florida where we have our winter home but the food was excellent and the service attentive... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o American Nudist Research Library is the biggest archive of nudist material in the world and is located at Cypress Cove Nudist Resort in Florida. The Library was established in 1979 to preserve the history of the social nudist movement in North America and throughout the world. It is a repository of material rather than a circulating library. Visitors may read or view most of the collection as long as they are in the Library. The Library is enjoyed most by individuals and groups who treasure on-going nudist activities, and who wish to participate in a sincere effort to preserve the unique history of the movement. Visit the site for additional information.
o Apollo Beach Report. February 2002. The directions from the Friends of Apollo Beach web site were impeccable. It was easy to find the beach. Parking is scarce, but I got lucky finding a car leaving just when I arrived. It felt a little funny passing all the textile people on my way to the nude area. I promptly walked up to the first nude person, asked about beach conditions and patrols by the National Park Service, all while getting into uniform. The beach is wonderful and inviting. I would say a dozen nudists were laying in the sun, all spread about 50ft apart. You can tell when people want to be left alone or when they want to talk. You can be as social or private as you want. The textiled people strolling into our area seemed ambivalent to our lifestyle, although you also sensed they wanted the courage to do the same. Carpe diem! Thanks Drew for the report!
o Apollo Beach Report. December 2000. My wife and I moved to Florida just a week ago. My wife wanted to be closer to Disney World, I wanted to be closer to Cypress Cove and nude beaches. Today (December 10th, 2000), we went out to Apollo Beach on the Canaveral National Seashore. It took about 45 minutes to get there and we hadn't left our apartment until nearly 11:00 this morning, so I wasn't too surprised when we found that the parking lot was full. Fortunately, an older gentleman soon left and we were able to park and proceed to the C/O area of the beach. The "nude sunbather" signs were there and easily seen, the beach was clean and uncrowded. I had my shorts off soon after passing the sign, much to my wife's surprise. The sun was warm and the breeze refreshing. It felt so wonderful. My wife remained textile-bound, and after a couple of hours was more than ready to leave. I could have stayed all day. It was so great after being limited to a few hot springs in New Mexico. I think I will probably be a regular visitor to Apollo Beach when I have the time, and would recommend it to any naturist that is going to be in east-central Florida. Report by David or OrlandoNudist (Formerly NudeInNM). Thanks David for the report!
o Bay Bares Park. Bay Bares are a bunch of folks who get together regularly for the pleasure of each other's company, the kind of fun that can only happen when like-minded people are around one another. We cherish our time in the sun and the beautiful park we have built together to spend it in. We are families, couples, and single people who have re-learned what a joy it is to relax and play without the restrictions imposed by a clothes-compulsive society. Bay Bares Park is not a business establishment. We are a private club, and a Florida not-for-profit corporation (LSN, Inc.), which could also be described as a co-op. We've been around about 7 years, but have grown an awful lot here lately, and we're up to over 80 members (...well, that's a lot to us!). Visit the site for additional information. (See our listing in TanPages.com)
o Becky's Bed & Breakfast is the newest Clothing Optional Bed & Breakfast in Central Florida. Becky's is a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom guest house with a large hot tub conveniently located on the back screened porch with privacy windows. You can enjoy a personal masseuse in the comfort and privacy of your own home. We have daily, weekly, and monthly rates. We also have business and frequent friend rates. Please visit our website to see the many ammenities that we offer.
o Boca Chica Nude Beach was something we'd spent years looking for in the Florida Keys and we didn't actually find it ourselves. We've John Gaston of Key West, long time Naturist and nude charter boat pilot to thank for it. Boca Chica Beach has virtually all the qualities we look for before computing an area onto NUDISK--plenty of parking, a long established tradition of nude use, well balanced attendance, hassle free and accepted by the community, out of public view, and if possible, gawker free, all of which Boca Chica is, and then some. There are two added bonuses; Boca Chica is a fisherpeoples' and bird watcher's paradise! Several times, we've seen The Great White Heron, The Snowy Egret, The Lesser Blue Heron, The Reddish Heron, and a very large Osprey overseeing the fishing activity of the other birds, possibly waiting to steal someone else's catch, all at the same time! Two bald eagle nests can be seen in the trees... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Cabanas Guesthouse. The award-winning Cabanas Guesthouse is Fort Lauderdale’s premier clothing-optional gay male destination. Featuring 18 Key West style units, The Cabanas is a riverfront compound that is the closest to the gay nightlife, shopping and dining in Wilton Manors. Amenities include a hot steamroom, 10-man Jacuzzi, as well as a full size heated pool, kayaks and bikes. Visit the website for additional information.
o Caliente Resort is a major new nude recreation club, destination resort and residential community. The 96-acre site, 20 miles north of Tampa, Florida, features two lakes with white sand beaches, nature preserves, and mature trees. Caliente will have vacation cottages, hotel rooms, six tennis courts, three heated swimming pools, water and beach volleyball, petanque, shuffleboard and horseshoes, several bars and restaurants, an exercise studio and shops. "A perfectly natural community in the heart of nudist country." Check the website for additional information.
o Caliente Resort. May 2007. I had a meeting to attend in Sarasota, but I had an afternoon off, and I went up to Caliente. This is an upscale resort just north of Tampa, in Pasco County, a naturist-friendly county with a number of clothing optional resorts. I visited Caliente on a weekday last year, and it was very quiet. Last Saturday it was booming. You drive in past the gate - the clothed woman at the gate who, I had assumed, would check my TNS card (because I was a single male) just waved me on in, and told me to register at the gate. This was not what I expected, given the stern warning on the web that single men would not be admitted unless they had been AANR members for more than a year (I am not, but I was prepared to argue my legitimacy by showing my NetNude posts!)... o Naturally Caliente! A Newcomer Nude’s Naked Observations by Madelyn Greco. 2006. Published with the permission of the author - Madelyn Greco. The main passions of my life currently all seem to afford some interesting opportunities, body-painting being no exception. The majority of the local work we do involves body-painting for theater, art galleries, special events, fashion shows, film and photography. We’re fortunate though, to have enough demand for our talents that we are also able to travel. I am the "marketing director" for our two-artist company, Living Brush Body-painting. As such, I sent out a flurry of press releases via the web this past July, after our successful attempt on the Guinness World Record for "Most Painted Bodies in a Day". I was hoping to land an especially desirable gig for Halloween, a time when our services are greatly in demand... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Caliente Resort. May 2006. I had a few hours before a plane in Tampa, so I drove up to Caliente. You take Veteran's HIghway from the airport (a toll road), get off at Exit 13, Dale Mabry Highway (this is past the second toll plaza), take the world's longest exit ramp (3 miles!), go left on Dale Mabry, which becomes Route 41. Just before Route 41 merges from three lanes to two you will see a large sign for Caliente Resort-Spa on your right. I had called the sales office to get a look around (I had not realized that they waived the entry fee if you go through the sales office, but I saved $21.00), but it turned out that my TNS card was 7 days out of date, and I was a single male. The nice people ultimately decided was not a perv, and let me in. At the sales office they took my information, and gave me a sheet of the rules for me to sign. Beyond the usual no sex, sit on a towel rules they had a detailed description of the piercings that were allowed and not allowed (only one nipple ring per nipple; one body piercing, which can be a genital piercing but not on the penis). They certainly attend to details. There are all sorts of different accomodations, from McMansions some of which were more than a million dollars, to little prefab 'casitas' which looked like stucco covered trailers, town homes, condos. There is also a motel. The club house is huge. When I arrived there were about 20 middle aged and older clothed women having lunch together. The pool area is immense, with a small conversation pool, a huge freeform pool 3.5 to 4 feet deep with a waterfall at one end, two beach volleyball courts, a water volleyball pool, and hot tubs. There is a steam room, sauna, and health club. The people around the pool were entirely nude except for a boy who was about 12. He was from England, and obviously irritated at his naturist parents. Did they bribe him with a trip to Disneyland? There was also a young couple who wore bottoms. They took them off to go into the pool and never put them back on. I had a very good grouper sandwich at the pool bar. There is a spa, and someone was having an undraped massage at poolside. Two days before I had visited friends at the Longboat Key Club, an upscale textile condominium community in Sarasota. The atmosphere was very much the same - a quiet resort community with some retirees. Except for the nudity. It is a far cry from the nudist colonies of the 50's.Thanks Mickey for the report. o Caliente Resort Rentals. Luxurious Accommodations for rent or for sale at Caliente and Eden Bay nudist resorts. Check the website for additional information and photos of current listings.
o Caliente Resort Report. We spent Memorial Day weekend at the new Caliente Resort, just north of Tampa Florida. We are a family of five with three teenage children. Part of our mission was meeting up with some friends from Georgia, who also have two daughters, considerably younger than our own. The resort is truly gorgeous. The crowning jewel is definitely the clubhouse with a restaurant, nightclub, boutique, and an amazing pool complex with a large waterfall fed conversation/play pool in addition to a huge hot tub, and a moderately warm conversation pool. There are other pools specifically for volleyball tournaments and the like. There is food and beverage service all around the pool area. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was reasonable and good... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Caliente Resort - 2004 NetNude Gathering Reports. March 2004. This Gathering was held at Caliente Resort near Tampa, Florida. Reports by Bernie and Becky.
o Caliente Resort. February 2004. To prepare the March gathering goers for what to expect at Caliente I went up last Sunday, the first balmy day we'd had in a while in SW Florida. Sundays the construction crews are absent so people are more comfortable going about. The new clubhouse is basically finished, large and somewhat garish but most people will be impressed: 2 conversation pools in addition to the main pool, a couple of water volleyball tanks as well as nearby volleyball fields. The place was crowded, 80 percent or so being seniors with the rest a mixture including some kids. It appears to be more nude than Paradise Lakes, that is few people arrived in the pool area clothed. The inmates seem to know one another...much airkissing and huggies. One of the drink servers liked to rub her boobs on friends when greeting them, a nice gesture I thought. It can be a bit of a hike to the pool area from some of the rental units but no golf carts were in use that I could see except by the management. All in all quite an ambitious development which appears to be going well...hope the clubhouse is operating by the time you arrive. This report is brought to you by bunsunr. If you wish to contact the author, he is on the message board with the same name.
o Caliente Resort. February 2004. Deb and I went there today. Grounds fees with AANR membership was $10 each. There have been many improvements since we were there last. The clubhouse is HUUUUGE! At least 3 bars in the clubhouse itself, & prolly as many restaurants. We counted 5 pools, 2 of which were for water volleyball, 1 unheated pool with a waterfall, 1 conversation pool, a heated pool & 1 hot tub. The restaurant prices we were told were a bit high. All in all quite an ambitious development which appears to be going well... hope the clubhouse is operating by the time you arrive. Note from Jan: The clubhouse opened March 3, 2004. The 2004 NetNude gathering was at Caliente the last weekend of March. Bill was at the gathering. This report is brought to you by Bill Z. who, in 2004, is the NAC representative for Florida.
o Caliente Resort and Cypress Cove. February 2004. We just got back from a quick trip to florida..We spent one day at Cypress Cove and one day at Caliente. First Cypress Cove. This is a wonderful facility. It is run well and has everything one could possibly do or want. The staff there is one of the most cordial and motivated that we have ever experienced. Great places to relax and they have a superb eating facility with great food with very reasonable prices. Our highest recommendation for Cypress Cove. Then it was on to Caliente. This will be a beautiful resort when completed. We stayed in one of their hotel rooms. It was very nice and was well equipped: microwave, refig, coffee maker and hairdryers. Since they are still in the construction phase they only had the conversation pool really open with their pool bar operational. There was no place to eat on property. We did talk to a few couples that were staying in either the villas or the condos. They said they were beautiful. We did get a tour of the main center building. This will be a true resort facility when completed. We will plan another trip to Caliente but not til it is complete. The staff is very helpful and apologetic. We cannot wait to see it when it is completed. Thanks S. & J. for the report!
o Central Florida Naturists Inc., founded in the spring of 1992, is a Central Florida non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation (and ultimate official designation) of Playalinda and Apollo as clothing optional beaches within Canaveral National Seashore. CFN holds an affiliate charter, as a non-landed club, with the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), the oldest and largest nudist organization in the U.S. As such, our primary goal is the designation of public lands for clothing optional recreation use, while at the same time promoting the protection and preservation of our natural resources through education. We are a wholesome, family-oriented club, open to singles, couples, and families. Visit the site for additional information.

o Cypress Cove Nudist Resort. December 2005. On Friday when I got to the Cove it was warming and brightning up from rain in the morning. I got naked as fast as I could and went to the pool. Yes it was on the cool side but it was a heck of a lot warmer and nicer than the below 10F and 2 feet of snow that I had at home. I got as much sun as I could in the late afternoon. Friday night, I had dinner and attended the Christmas show at the restarurant by the lake. The stuffed flounder was good but the (I believe temporary) waitress seemed a little forgetful. She seemed a little jittery serving a semi-nude guy (I wore my festive red polo shirt :). It took her several tries to take orders, get the stuff and serve. I sat at the table with Josie and her husband Tom. They were great folks and good conversationalists. Dan sat on my right and we had a great conversation about how it was to be retired from the phone company. Even though I had checked the "(un)dress" code, I was only one of three folks (that I could find) who could be considered at least partially nude. I guess I didn't get the memo that this was a "dress up" event... (click link to read the rest of the report.)

o Cypress Cove, Kissimmee. February 2002. The weather was kind of cool for a visit, but the solar rays on the skin made it very tolerable. I had e-mailed weeks ahead of time to plan my visit. They screened my background thoroughly and gave me an invitation to visit. Upon arriving at the security hut, and gave the attendant my AANR card and provided them the e-mail response from the manager (all from while sitting in my car). I would always recommend having a printed copy of your e-mail if this is how you contacted the resort. Several other places also asked to see my correspondence. They approved my documents, so I paid the fee and had a wonderful stay. Everyone was very friendly and the ladies at the registration desk were helpful in getting me oriented. Thanks Drew for the report!
o Cypress Cove - first time visit to a nudist resort. February 2002. I visited Cypress Cove as a single for several days in February, 2002. Although I have been to clothing-optional beaches many times and have gone to a couple of c/o swim nights, this was my first visit to a nudist resort. The resort is much larger than I expected -- picture a large subdivision. It takes about half an hour to walk the perimeter of the developed part of the property. A tall wall on the side nearest the highway and an entrance gate with a security guard ensures privacy. There are about 80 motel rooms, 170 rental campsites for RVs and 230 individually owned residences, and all streets are paved. When full, there are more than 1000 people on the property. The resort is very clean and well maintained, and the staff is both professional and friendly... (click link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks Gary for the report!
o Cypress Cove Report. July 2001. I’ve been a naturist since my early teens, my wife became a converted naturist after our marriage, and my daughter is a born and raised one. She now being 11, we went on our first naturist resort vacation. We chose the location with care in hopes of making the experience both successful, and one that would be repeated in the near future... (click link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks edun for the report!
o Cypress Cove Report and Sandy Terraces (Massachusetts). 2001 Both my wife and I have visited Cypress Cove in Florida and Sandy Terraces located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts and enjoyed them both. Plan on seeing how many we can visit in out travels. Both enjoy being nude, last year was our first, but it won't be our last. Thanks Jack and Millie for the report!
o Cypress Cove Report. January 2001. My wife and I are new to nudism, starting in January of 2001. We have visited several resorts in Florida over the past several months, Sunnier Palms, Lake Como, Cypress Cove and Sunsport Gardens. Cypress Cove near Orlando Florida is a large resort. It has many amenities, and was the first resort we visited, however we left due to extreme cold weather that came in and we were not enjoying ourselves due to it being so cold. About a month later we decided to give it a try one more time and visited Sunnier Palms, and loved it returning several times in the following months. We now alternate visits between Lake Como and Sunnier Palms, and when the wife retires in a few years plan on moving into Sunnier Palms and becoming full time residents. Thanks Chuck for the report!
o Cypress Cove NetNude March Get-Together. Numerous reports and photos on the NetNude Get-together at Cypress Cove, March 1999. Thanks to everyone for contributing to this report!
o Cypress Cove Report. August 2000. At $13 AANR day fee, this is one of the best bargains around. They have thoroughly renovated and updated this resort with new condos; rental units; store/office; and another pool and clubhouse that was not quite finished when I was there. Another flat resort with paved winding streets that gives the residence areas the feeling of a textile subdivision. Their bar/lounge, Cheeks, was a pleasant place to have a drink and sandwich. Food service was a bit slow, but they were rather busy the day I was there. The resort also features access to a beautiful lake, which has an area cordoned off for swimming, and paddle boats are available for the more adventuresome. Volleyball and tennis courts abound. There is a nice restaurant on the bank of the lake which also has a cocktail lounge. I found it odd that while nudity is accepted and encouraged in all other areas of the resort, they have a strict textile policy for the dances at the club. A bit odd. Overall a lovely place to visit. I will be back. Thanks Irish for the report!
o Cypress Cove Report. My wife and I went to a Florida resort in March '99. Cypress Cove was very nice in many ways and was splendid. The people were friendly, the facilities were ample. The pool, the spa, the courts, the grounds were real fun. The food was great at the dinning room and was also quite good in the snack bar. Breakfast at the dining room are worth getting up early. If you go there, try the hot cakes. There were activities to participate in if you like. It is clothing optional but it was rare to see anyone who was not bare. Cypress Cove is really nice... (click link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks Clevie for the report!
o Cypress Cove Report - A First Time Visitor's View. Let me start with a little background on my wife, Linda & I. We live near Kansas City, Missouri and have been naturists for less than a year. Until last June, we occasionally practiced nudity but only in the privacy of our own home. Last June, after much web-surfing for info, we decided to visit our first landed facility to experience nudity in the presence of like-minded people. We visited Lake Edun in Topeka, Kansas and immediately fell head-over-heels in love with the naturist lifestyle. We became members of The Lake Edun Foundation 3 weeks later.... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Cypress Cove Report. Cypress Cove is a beautiful resort, with permanent housing, mobile homes, spaces for RVs and a very nice set of motel-type rooms. My stay was very enjoyable. Everyone was very friendly, and each time I was in the lounge sitting by myself some group of people would invite me to join them. January, 1998. Thanks Bob Porter for the report!
o Cypress Cove Report. I've visited Cypress Cove a number of times, both alone and with my wife. I have never had trouble making a reservation or getting in while by myself; perhaps our being Naturist and AANR members helps on that score. Cypress Cove is laid back and relaxing.... (click link to read the rest of the report.) Trip report by Bruce L.
o Déjà Vu Resort is no longer a naturist resort. 2003.
o Edun Lake is located in Naples, Florida, on a beautiful, gated, 20 acre site. At Edun Lake you will find a large heated pool, 1300 square foot pavilion, men's and women's baths and a beautiful park adjacent to our scenic lake. We are a family oriented resort, where singles are welcome. First time visitors are asked to call in advance for admittance. We are open 7 days a week to all, members and visitors. Visitors still need to call in advance for the gate code. Singles friendly but singles are limited. Visit the site for additional information.
o Eden Lake, Naples, Report. August 2003. This past Sunday my wife and I visited Edun Lake in Naples FL. EL is not yet a landed club, but is working on the legal aspects of becoming one. Their facilities are quite new and include a large pool with plenty of chaise lounge chairs around, a large shelter with tables and chairs and clean restrooms. The hosts Lou and Mary were wonderful and made sure everyone had a good time. Over 70 people were there, some of them regulars at EL and others from nearby non-landed clubs. We had a great time and will be going back often. They have a potluck on the 2nd Sunday of every month. I understand that hardly anyone is there on weekdays so I would recommend going weekends. The only negative thing was that the one half long gravel road leading in was full of pot holes, but it was worth it. Their website is http://www.edunlake.com.. It is $10 per person to get in or $12 for non AANR. (August 2003 rates). Thanks Terry for the report!

o Florida Keys Naturists Report. May 2002. We had the opportunity to make a trek down to the Florida Keys on May 10th. Having nudist friends in the area made for a great weekend. Edun (who occasionally chats on NetNude) & Ms. Edun were gracious hosts for our first venture to the 'tip' of the Continental U. S. Edun took us to the Florida Keys Naturists' (FKN) private beach for a wonderful day of sunning and exploring, and then Ms. Edun cooked a delicious lasagna for supper Saturday evening... o Florida Nude Living. Providing new Manufactured Homes for nudists. Lots available in Lake Como Resort, Gulf Coast Resort & others throughout central Florida.
o Florida Resorts Report. Florida - justifiably known as the sunshine state. An article written for the British Naturism magazine - 1996 & 1997. November '96 we explored the Atlantic coast of Florida - March '97 we tried the Gulf coast. Overall feelings - we are seriously looking to buy a home over there ! It was when we were investigating naturist destinations on the internet that it first hit us. There were 20 nudist clubs listed in Florida.. Having only been to Club Paradise and Lake Como a few times and enjoyed the hospitality, the weather and the shopping, we decided to explore a little more thoroughly than just these two... o Haulover Beach Report. April 2007. I visited Haulover during a weekday afternoon. Rather than tell you what we all know and love about naturism, let me tell you what I saw at Haulover. Not less than four men masturbating in plain sight, and at six or seven strategically positioned to get an eye-full (legs spread) of the few women that were there. One guy decided that the restroom was too far away and relieved himself at the edge of the beach into the grass...in full view of everyone. I am disappointed about what I saw on my FIRST visit to Haulover. Having been a nudist for eighteen years and experienced nude recreation around the world, I have never seen anything like this, and I won't likely return, especially with a family. I'll stick to resorts where the behavior is modeled after the nudist ideal. Thanks David for the report!
o Haulover Beach Report. February 2007. We went to the Haulover Beach about a week ago and took a chance on the weather as it called for showers. They were few and far between and the day was just beautiful. Folks just congregate under the shelters or their umbrellas. But there was lots of sun and it made for a very enjoyable day at Haulover. Not having been there before we were surprised to find it so accessible. It truly is the Number 1 tourist attraction in Miami. Folks are respectful and friendly, but do not infringe on your privacy. Sure there are a few oddballs and gawkers, but they are easily outnumbered by the everyday people who come to the beach to enjoy it naturally. The water is warm, although being from Atlantic Canada that may be relative to what we are used to. There were certainly more people than we usually see at a naturist beach, but it is almost a family type of atmosphere and you feel totally safe while at the beach. Great spot for first time naturists as you could see some timid ones that were not sure, but after a few minutes were completely nude. No one is concerned about your body type or its condition. Overall a very accepting place to be naked and enjoy the sun and water. Not to be missed if you enjoy the freedom of a naturist beach. Thanks Frank and Marion for the report!
o Haulover Beach Report. January 2007. I made my first trek to Haulover Beach in January ’07, while most of the U.S. was chilling with snow and ice storms. There are several Haulover reports posted on NetNude and lots more info is available on the web, so I’ll limit this report to my experience and some current updates. I stayed 3 days and 4 nights at the Ocean Palm Motel for $100US per night, which is still fairly reasonable for lodging right on the beach during high season. The place is still hanging on, with minimal maintenance to keep the aging rooms and facilities going. With the Days Inn gone, Ocean Palm is the only hotel remaining near Haulover. Rumors have been spreading that the owner sold it, but he hasn’t, yet, and plans to operate for at least 1 more year. Three tall towers are being built to the north, making for an unattractive view and rude morning wake-up calls by construction noise... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Haulover Beach Report. February 1, 2006. It's Wednesday February 1 2006: another day, another year at Haulover Nude Beach between Bal Harbor and Sunny Isles Beach, South Florida. Some clouds in the early morning sky and the cool 66 F will not keep away the many people coming to this wonderful beach later on and during the day, as always, when the sun warms it up. The "snowbirds" have already arrived in big numbers since some time and they all enjoy with us the freedom and the nature around here and in themselves. As the building-process is going on like crazy all around here and along the ocean, this beach park remains the true oasis of sun and green and relaxation! Hopefully local politicians and administrators will keep on understanding this and how important this is for everybody to be preserved: for the many people coming here just because of this. There is an estimate of one and a half million dollars income only from the parking fees and if you ever had a look up and down the other beaches here, there is not even one place so much visited. To be sincere, some improvement, like more showers and better toilets would not be bad, as it surely is not pleasant, seeing somone in urge just peeing to the sand or at the shoreline. The food and beverage service has much improved, since there is a new contractor now, even though it seems not nice, that chairs and umbrellas are not more carried in, but driven through the people lying in the sand with a mini tractor. I find this quite disturbing. It is also not understandable, why they sell beer there, nevertheless "alcoholic beverages" are forbidden by the county - orders on this beach as well as the widely practiced smoking of substances. At Haulover there is always the good old OCEAN PALM MOTEL which is directly on the beach and minutes away from Haulover nude beach in walking distance along the seashore. It is nothing fancy, but OK and the people are quite nice, especially "Robert". Prices rank from 80 to 120 Dollars plus tax a nite for two (at this time of the year)including a little breakfast, which is given in the office or for takeaway from there to your room. Street-address: 15795 Collins Avenue (which is A1A) at the trafficlight for 158th Street = Bayview Drive. SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL (was: N Miami Beach) 33160. Phone: 1.305.947.5671 (24/24) Anyway, let us hope, that this beach can stay open as long as possible, the way it is now: cloth optional! Thanks Gehay for the report.
o Haulover Beach Report. March 7, 2005. Today was a sunny and breezy day in South Florida, with temperatures reaching the mid 70s under sunny skies. Parking in the city run lot has increased to $4.00, and if you want to rent a lounge chair, that will set you back an additional $6.00, with an umbrella $7.00 more. The beach was as clean and well groomed as ever, with plenty of trash receptacles both available and being used. There was a good crowd on hand for a Monday in early March too. The lifeguards were of course at their posts and the ever present beach patrol was noticeable as they cruised up and down the beach. No volleyball game today, perhaps the players chose not to visit today. There is still the annoying element that trudges up and down the strand, fully dressed, heads spinning like Linda Blair's character in "The Exorcist" but since this is a public beach, as long as they do no wrong, they can't be chased. Less annoying were the occasional gawkers who stop on the boardwalk to view the scene and try and snap a picture or two. These get chased by either the beach patrol or the occasional police officer who cruises the service road just outside the beach. I was disappointed that the concession stand no longer offered hot dogs, just cold drinks and sunblock. Last year one of the local restaurants would offer delivery service, but I saw no evidence of that, although it may not be worth their while until the activity picks up. Altogether a pleasant, relaxing afternoon. Thanks Irish for the report.
o Haulover Beach Report. November 2004. We visited Haulover Beach in north Miami, Florida the first week in November. We spend two days at the beach enjoying the fantastic November weather (84 degree days with 82 degree water!) Our first visit was on a Sunday. We arrived at around 9:30am and found the parking lot about 1/3 full. On the beach we found a large number of sunbathers already assembled; however, there were still spaces available right next to the water south of the volleyball net. Things filled up quickly, and by 11:00am the beach was packed 3-4 deep. We found the north end of the CO area to be more gay, with couples sunning near the volleyball net and south to end of the CO area. Haulover remains one of the best nude beaches we have found in the United States. Weekends draw large crowds of all ages and races. We enjoyed the company of couples visiting from Seattle, France, and Washington DC. We enjoyed long swims in the water, although swimmers should be aware that there are strong riptides along the beach and the beach bottom is uneven in places. (Lifeguards are located in stands at regular intervals along the length of the beach.) Nevertheless, we could not resist the opportunity to swim in the ocean in early November...a pleasure relatively few in the States can enjoy. We returned to the beach the following Thursday and found a thinner, more subdued, but equally diverse, crowd. We arrived at the beach around 10:15am and found only a handful of cars in the parking lot. We easily located a spot right on the water and enjoyed another day of basking in the glorious south Florida sunshine. The beach crowd grew a bit in the afternoon, but it was not nearly as busy as the weekend visit. Again, we consider Haulover to be one the best nude beaches we have seen in the States. Definitely a "must-visit" if you ever find yourself in south Florida. Thanks Tom & Kylie for the report.

o Haulover Beach Report. September 2003. I knew it was a good sign when the bus taking us to the hotel pulled up to the front of the hotel Friday night and right outside my window was the bus route sign, listing Haulover. We stayed at Sovererign, in the 43rd block, six miles away. We didn't arrive until around 6:30 Friday evening, so I turned in around 11:30 after a trip to Outback, but awoke on Saturday morning around 4am and didn't want to miss any ME time. I spent the next couple of hours putting the finishing touches on game notes and stuff for the 6pm contest set. I caught the transit from in front of our hotel, 43rd street in route to Haulover, at 108, about six miles away. I began to recognize many of the streets and locations I had seen on the web as we got closer to Haulover, and as we pulled up to the bus stop in front of the main Haulover Beach entrance, it was almost like being in a place I had been many times before... click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o First Time Report at Haulover Beach. 2001. When I made my way out of the tunnel that connected the parking lot to Haulover Beach, I strained my eyes for some reassurance. What an embarrassment if I peeled my clothes off and I walked onto the wrong beach! I was reassured, however, by the great number of nude people. There were many elderly Europeans staked out under umbrellas, on beach chairs, and towels. Many were facing my way because the sun was behind me. Their lack of interest in my approach was again comforting. These encampments looked like a safe place to me. Most of these people looked like seasoned vets, from a tradition that was commonplace. to their homelands. They seemed to gather on the hot beach, underneath their desert parasols, like 19th century European officers on leave with their wives. There were many nations, but interestingly enough, everyone wore the same uniform. I felt at ease, and in certain sense welcome. Welcome because no one seemed to care one way or another, even if I had clothing on. I was out of uniform, in my Nautica swimwear, scoping out a place to lay down. And I was about to do what I dreamt of doing since I was a small boy; pull off my shirt and shorts and just be naked with nature. What struck me the most was the incredible feeling of walking naked on the hot sand. My motion through space, away from the security of my towel and swim trunks, through the sunbathers, and finally out into the warm Atlantic, gave me a sort of tranquil ecstasy. Part of the exhilaration of being nude, I have learned, is the act of abandoning one's clothing- the act of walking away from their false security. Add that to a full-body massage from a tropical breeze, rolling waves and hot sun, and I was suddenly aware of what I was deprived of my entire life. I strongly recommend Haulover Beach, North of Miami, especially if it is your public debut. The beach is gorgeous, and the atmosphere was very healthy and normal. Thanks Dave for the report.
o Haulover Beach Report. July 2001. This July will be my 4th trip to Haulover Beach. I have always had a pleasant and safe time. So much so that I bought a condo in South Beach and now can go a few time a year. Thanks Anonymous for the report.
o Haulover Beach Report. June 2001. Finding myself in Miami Beach, Florida, I had to go to Haulover Beach. This was my second time there. This is a county-operated, legally clothing-optional stretch of beach along the Atlantic located between Bal Harbor and Sunny Isles. And it is FREE! It has easy access. It has lifeguards. It has amenities (though you do have to get dressed to go to the restrooms and outdoor shower). I had left Texas ridiculously early in the morning. As soon as I arrived at my hotel, I dropped the bags and headed to Haulover. I arrived about 2pm. The clothing-optional portion of the beach was packed (the rest of the beach in Haulover Park does not see nearly as much use) with thousands of people of every conceivable physical description (including one in a wheel chair) and every variant from nude to shorts and shirts. Now remember I had been traveling since early morning, and had not really eaten. So no sooner had I arrived, than I realized I had made a mistake by not eating. Turned out not to be a problem. I entered the beach near the South Florida Free Beaches information booth. This is the TNS-affiliated group which made this beach possible. I got a tee shirt from them after making a cash donation, and asked whether the various venders I saw on the beach sold "real" food or just snacks and beach stuff. Having been told it was just the latter, one of the volunteers staffing the booth pointed out a menu for a restaurant located close by which delivers to the beach. This most generous soul even loaned me the use of his cell phone to place the order. I had my lunch delivered to me at the beach! Right to my towel! (I had given my name and heard the delivery man calling "order for William" as he was walking up the beach.) And I never had to put on a stitch! Talk about civilized! The water was wonderful! Though as one used to swimming in lakes, streams and pools, the salt water always takes some getting used to. I am very buoyant and whenever I try to dive down in the ocean, I always float right up. I found several of the people to be quite friendly. I recognized one fellow from his pictures in the World Guide to Nude Recreation and Nude and Natural magazine. He and I had a very good conversation. In all, I got to spend two days on this wonderful beach. It is, simply put, a naturist's dream come true: a free, clothing optional beach, with lifeguards and easy access, in one of the finest cities in the world. I highly recommend it. Thanks Bill(TX) for the report.
o Haulover Beach Report. 2000. Even in Florida, some of us get "cabin fever" during the cooler days. After weeks of chilly temps, my wife suggested that we take a trip to Miami's Haulover Beach. With the prediction of another cold front due on Saturday, I agreed to take off Friday for the outing. The parking lot was more crowded than we expected for a weekday, but this is tourist and retirement country, and people are more free during the week. We took one of the last available spots on the paved lot (Later we saw that another forty or so cars were on the overflow grassy section)... (click link to read the rest of the report.) o Hidden River Resort is a new clothing optional facility located on the Florida/Georgia line between Jacksonville and Lake City. It is on the St. Marys River 15 miles north of I-10. 88 acres of hiking trails, secluded campsites, RV hookups, white sand banks, the 'ole swimmin' hole, and a full bathhouse. The swimming pool was completed in early November. Telephone: (912) 843-2603. Visit the site for additional information. (See our listing in TanPages.com)
o Hidden River Resort Report. April 2001. In April 2001 the Jacksonville (Florida) Times Union newspaper published a tasteful yet 'revealing' article about this South Georgia clothing optional campground/resort. Reporting on a recent music festival, Nudie Blues, the article related the interaction between the resort owner, Barbara Hatten, and the traditionally conservative community in which she operates. While Hidden River had been clothing optional for 18 months at the time, most of the local residents had no idea that a nude campground was operating in their county. Not surprisingly, the news article pointed out that the Charlton County Sheriff's Office said that there have been absolutely no problems at the resort. Barbara said that her business decision to make the resort clothing optional resulted in a business improvement of 20 percent, averaging between 50 and 100 guests weekly throughout the year with patrons enjoying the comfortable Georgia/Florida climate nearly year round... o Johnson Beach near Pensacola. January 2007. It is a little-known, but naturist-friendly and often-used beach. It is on the east end of Perdido Key, between Pensacola and Gulf Shores. After entering the main park area, drive down the frontage road along the beach (about 2 miles) and park near the end of the road. Walk about a quarter mile east on the ocean side until you see a camping sign, and you're in the nudist-friendly area. There usually aren't more than 10 people here, but the rangers know what goes on and allow it, as long as there are no children or protesting beach-goers around. The person who sent me the information wished to remain anonymous but thanks for the information!
o Key West Report. October-November 2004. My wife and I recently visited Key West and enjoyed quite a few clothing optional opportunities. Our first stop was at Higgs Beach at the south end of White Street. Although not clothing optional, we found several topfree women enjoying the fantastic fall weather; however, never did we see more than about 25% of the women on the beach sans suit tops. There are still no official clothing optional beaches on Key West, although the Florida Keys Naturists have a petition available in the members section of their website (http://www.fkn.cc) to make a portion of Higgs Beach clothing optional. Contact FKN for more information... (click link to read the rest of the report.)
o Key West Report. Spring 2002. If you visit Key West (which we highly recommend), try one of the clothing optional Inns, B and Bs, or motels. We stayed at a clothed/textile Inn, but by day we sunned and socialized nude at ATLANTIC SHORES (next time we'll stay at Atlantic Shores, the pool, pier, bar, grill, guest and staff were excellent). Go to http://www.atlanticshoresresort.com. In the evening we dressed (very little), and enjoyed the shops, food, folks, and bars. There is a clothing optional bar in the heart of old town called the Garden of Eden, it's above the Bull and Whistle Bar. Everything is within walking distance. We were sincerely surprised an actual nudist/naturist resort or beach did not exist in the Keys. If you're looking to be nude all the time, then the Keys are not for you, BUT, if you're flexible and willing to be nude part-time, go and have a blast. Thanks Ed and Ally for the report!
o Key West Report. 2000. People ask whether there are any clothing-optional beaches in Key West and the answer to that, as has been said here, is that there is very little beach of any kind on the island. I'd say the strip of public beach is maybe 1.5 miles long. The last time I was there, I saw 2 or 3 topfree women, but I didn't see any yesterday, though I was there earlier in the day than last time. Interestingly, I saw two nude children (one maybe 3 and the other 9, the latter walking between an RV and the beach) this time. The water at these beaches is very shallow and they don't seem to see a whole lot of usage, though enough that they can't simply be "liberated"... o Lake Como Family Nudist Resort, Florida's original nude recreation community, has occupied the same beautiful 200-acre site in southern Pasco County since 1940. Lake Como operates a full service restaurant/lounge and lakeside pub. There is a large heated swimming pool, sauna, and relaxing, screen enclosed hot tub. Sports facilities include: tennis, volleyball, petanque, horseshoes, shuffleboard, billiards. The centerpiece of Lake Como's park-like setting is a 35 acre lake with two swimming beaches, picnic areas, and a choice of sunning lawns or cool shade. The lake is popular for fishing and boating. Many days, colorful sailboats enhance the beauty of the lake. Paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks are available for rent. Singles friendly. Visit the site or email Lake Como Club for additional information. (See our listing in TanPages.com)
o Lake Como Report. March 2005. I had not visited Como for over a year and in that time there have been several improvements and upgrades. Most noticeable is new signage that points to the club from Route 41 as one turns onto Cot road that leads to the resort. It is important to mention that this road is just past Paradise Lakes with all its bold letters identifying it as a "clothing optional" resort. Not advertised but still in effect is the two hour free pass for dinner guests who wish to sample the fare at their now outsourced restaurant, and I took advantage of this courtesy to enjoy dinner and then a few drinks at the separate bar, the "Butt Hutt." The visitors parking lot is now paved which extends into the motel area which makes for less dust and is easier on the feet. There are also new paved walkways and a general feeling of freshness that was absent in the past. The food and service was excellent and they now accept AMEX, excellent for us on the old expense account. The restaurant itself has been refreshed with an old partition between the bar area and dining room gone, new carpeting and more choices in both food and drink. The barstools and table areas also appear to be either new or refurbished. The separate Butt Hutt has also been upgraded, with a larger dance floor and more tables but the area around the bar still has the lovely sand floor and while one cannot smoke in the restaurant, due to the Florida ban on smoking in enclosed areas, the Butt Hutt still permits those who so indulge to enjoy their tobacco products. The resort had hosted the Super Bowl Volleyball IV tournament the previous week and there were still several campers at the site, and while I have no idea of the results of the games, from what I heard in the bar, a great time was had by all. Como is clearly a cut above the more rustic resorts in the area, and they have a very lively Karaoke following, great billiards and darts leagues and many other things to recommend spending time here. I enjoyed my evening and will certainly be back again. Thanks Irish for the report.
o Lake Como Report. January 2001. My wife and I are new to nudism, starting in January of 2001. We have visited several resorts in Florida over the past several months, Sunnier Palms, Lake Como, Cypress Cove and Sunsport Gardens. Our second favorite place to visit is Lake Como Resort near Tampa, Florida. It is a larger resort and has more activities, as well as a small lounge with a beach sand floor called the Butt Hutt. The Butt Hutt is really fun on Friday and Saturday nights, and is priced very reasonable. The restaurant there is very good and reasonably priced as well with large portions. It has a large lake that is good freshwater fishing, and a white sandy beach for tanning and a swimming area. There are a small number of jon-boats, paddleboats and kayaks and canoes available for free if you wish to venture out on the lake. Tennis, Horseshoes and other games are available. It has a small shaded camping area for those inclined to tent it. Being surrounded by orange groves in the early spring the smell of orange blossoms is awesome. The people there are great and always willing to help out anyway they can. About a month later we decided to give it a try one more time and visited Sunnier Palms, and loved it returning several times in the following months. We now alternate visits between Lake Como and Sunnier Palms, and when the wife retires in a few years plan on moving into Sunnier Palms and becoming full time residents. Thanks Chuck for the report!
o Lake Como Report. 2000. My wife and I would like to tell everyone about our great experience at Como. The staff was very friendly and most understanding about our questions. We told them up front we had been members at Paradise Lakes and did not like it there. We are both professionals and have to do the "look perfect, what kind of car do you drive" kind of thing for a living. We wanted a place to relax and just be us, have a good time and make friends with down to earth people. Well Como far exceeded our expectations. All the accomodations are there, prices are great, but the best part of the Resort is THE PEOPLE! You could never ask to be greeted by a better family of new friends. You can't get any better than Como. Thanks Garry and Kim. for the report!
o Lake Como Report. October 2000. Lake Como is, at least in my mind, clearly one of the premier nudist facilities in the U.S. Many visitors to this area also go to Paradise Lakes and try to compare the two. Quite frankly, there is no comparison. Como is a co-op, and while it doesn't match the glitz of Paradise, it is home to some of the friendliest people I have ever met, either nudist or textile. Where Paradise is all condos, blacktop and concrete, Como is grass, RVs, and just pleasant people. To be sure, Como offers all of the assets expected in a top Nudist destination - beautiful lake, pool, hot tub, restaurant, volleyball, shuffleboard, rental facilities and the best bar I have ever patronized, the Butt Hutt. Where else can one purchase a premium draft beer for $1.00? It does not just come down to money. I have stayed at any number of clubs and resorts, and find Lake Como to be the one that I would join if I lived in the area. Why? It is not the number of pools or the scheduled activities that make a resort enjoyable, it is the people, and Como, to me, has the best. Thanks Irish for the report!
o Lake Como Report - Singles. 2000. I was a member of Lake Como Club for many years. Joined in 1968 with open arms; no questions asked. There were many singles, both male and female, and there was a delightful penalty for being single. The females waited on the tables. The males had to clean up in the kitchen. That way we really got to know each other in a friendly manner. I went to Como as often as possible. Was denied entrance to Fort Acre Club nearby... (click link to read the rest of the report.) o Lake Como and Club Paradise Report. April 2000. My wife and I returned to Paradise Lakes Resort in Florida on 6 April 2000 for a week of sun, fun and warmth. We were not disappoined. The renovated Key West bar is quite an improvement with an additional new outside bar as well. The food in the restaurant was improved with more variety. The owner is getting ready to break ground on another additional condo section and the over-all improvements to the resort are quite visible and on-going. There is constant maintenance, which indicates that the new owner is willing to put money back into his investment... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks Ray for the report!
o Lake Como Club Report. March, 1999. My last visit to Lake Como came on a rainy day in Feb. of 1990 when I was 23. Oh my, what a difference.... and for the better. This time the sun shines everywhere on Lake Como and in more ways than one. The last time I was visited there was not much to do, no public gathering places. This time, I checked in at around 6 p.m. on a Saturday and sauntered over to the "butt hut" a cute little bar by the lake. I quickly made friends with seven or eight people I had never met before, including the waitress in the restaurant, Debbie, who was the only person wearing clothes in this bar... o Navarre, Santa Rosa and Opal beaches Report. August 2003. I would like to say that my first nude beach experience at Navarre beach was fun. (These beaches are in the Pensacola area in Florida.) I was in the area in early August and really enjoyed my first nude beach experience. When I was on the beach, there were few people around, and I felt completely at ease taking off my suit and getting an all over tan. There were no crowds, and I had the beach to myself for three days. In addition, I asked people where the nude beach was, and found people to be accommodating in sharing information as to the location of the beach. The only problem that I encountered was the person on a off road vehicle checking out the sea turtles. I thought that it was the police and began to leave. I hope that nudist organizations will recognize Navarre as a place for nude sunbathing and swimming in the future. In addtion,I will come back and enjoy myself in the future when I return to Florida. I would also like to recommend the Santa Rosa day area and Opal beach as well. Opal Beach is worth the fee,and offers any first time nudist a great deal of privacy. You can walk for a couple of miles, and do a lot of shelling, and just totally feel free from wearing a bathing suit. Thanks Tom for the report!

o Our Florida Vacation! Bobbie and I visited 5 clubs and Haulover Beach during our 16 day stay in our "home state". Now that my 12 year adventure as manager of Solair is over, Florida seems more like home! Our first stop was at Lake Como where we stayed with some friends. The club looked great, as usual, and we noticed that the members were active, involved, doing volunteer work and talking camp politics. This appears to be the norm for a co-op club. The hot topic during our visit was a proposal to add 5 new sites on the lake! Proponents argued that revenues from the development would help defray the cost of the upcoming county sewer hookup! Like in any other community, property owners with sites near the proposed expansion and others concerned with ecological factors were against it!.... o Paradise Lakes Report. February 2008. I arrived at Paradise Lakes on Friday February 22, 2008 at about 3PM. Fortunately the weather was cooperating so I was able to enjoy all the facilities. The staff was friendly and the accommodations were excellant. They have a regular pool, a heated pool (92 degrees) and a hot tub, as well as a Key West Bar, a restaurant, and a night club. I think it is a good place for a couple if you like to socialize with like-minded people and enjoy dancing. You have a lot of options. There has been some statements about overt sexual activities at PL. There are signs around the heated pool that management may have you removed if that happens. They also had security at the pool and I did not see anything that would be considered offensive. Also there was a sign asking you to report anything you considered offensive to the management. The club had a good crowd for the DJ dance and the Key West Bar had a Karaoke Night that was well attended. Thanks Rich for the report!
o Paradise Lakes Transportation Report. March 2003. I've read your review on Paradise Lakes for several years now. I find several things that have improved since 1998. One of the most important things to me is the transportation issue. I've been going to Paradise for about 8 years now and previously used the "Laker Limo" transportation company. Not any more. I find that I have to wait up to two hours to be picked up. I have reserved this service previously only to be left and forgotten without even an excuse or offer to remedy the situation. I have even missed a flight due to being "forgotten" by the service. Since last year we have started using the "Fun Shuttle" transportation service and what a delight! It is a professionally ran shuttle service with new vans (not the stinky old limousine that Laker Limo uses) and professional drivers and the service has been absolutely perfect! Thanks Lisa for the report!
o Paradise Lakes Report. February 14 - 16, 2003. Well over the years we have been to many resorts here in Florida, and in the islands, and frankly how this club is affiliated with teh AANR is beyond me! It must have something to do with advertising dollars. Over the years we have heard various stories about the sub cultural there of swingers and frankly if you respect your spouse avoid this place like the plague! We checked in on Friday, St. Valentines day, expecting a nice quiet nude weekend. What we encountered was something that would make Hugh Hefner of Playboy blush, and we are not prudes. Within 2 hours I was standing at the bar nude to get drinks and a lady taps me on the shoulder and asks 'would you like to have sex'! I politely excused myself and went back to our lounge chaise, which was a major obstacle course as folks were packed into this place like sardines. The main pool had been without a heater for over a month so nobody was in that pool as it was a brisk 60 degrees! And most of the regulars were only nude when in the pool, all other times the dress code was 'let's see how procative / trashy we can dress'. The night only got worse! At dinner we were the only nude couple in the restaurant - everyone else had variations of G-strings- and the females must have had a contest as to whom could wear the most provocative / suggestive clothing, 5 inch spike heels were the norm. Of course the cross dressers were interesting to say the least. Let's not forget the DJ who played nothing but rap music and most of this crowd was 50 plus. We retired early to our room and around 2AM lots of partying noise got me out of bed and I walked out to the jets pool to find at least 15 couples engaged in sex and 4 men sitting in chairs who were very busy with entertaining themselves, while watching what was happening in the pool, if you get my drift. Without a doubt this is a swinger's place where nudity around the pool happens and should never be confused with a real nudist resort. Bottom line is if you pay the grounds fees anybody gets in and it shows. Thanks Bob and Carla for the report!
o Paradise Lakes Condo Rentals. Terry's Rentals In Paradise for the Florida vacation of your dreams. First rate one and two bedroom condo rentals in Paradise Lakes Premier Clothing Optional Resort located just north of Tampa. Visit the site for additional information.
o Paradise Lakes Report. August 2000. Much different than the rustic Pocono lodge, Paradise offers a bar/restaurant where the waitstaff is at least topless; club; several pools and other recreational facilities. There is an owners condo section plus a large number of rental units - truly a resort type environment. Being in Florida there are no hills and walking is easy on the paved streets. The nightclub has a clothes optional format. The night I was there the theme was "wear as much or as little as you want." Everyone with whom I spoke was friendly and pleasant with singles and couples both prevalent. If there is a downside, it is that there is so much blacktop, it can feel like one big parking lot. The $20 AANR day fee was worth it. Thanks Irish for the report!
o Paradise Lakes and Lake Como Report. (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks Ray for the report!
o Paradise Lakes Report. Went with my wife Oct 21-28. This was our first experience with a stateside naturist resort. Had a nice motel room off of the main pool. Wonderful facilities. Wonderful weather. Wonderful employees - very courteous and friendly. The "conversation pool" is indeed a great innovation. The food was good and the entertainment in the club was quite a pleasant surprise. Many of the guests were very cliquish. I found that in most instances, we had to speak first to break the ice. This was especially true on the weekend when lots of people within driving distance congregated here. The oft-heralded axiom that "nudists are the friendliest people in the world" was not in evidence.... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.) October, 1999. Thanks Ray and wife for the report!
o Paradise Lakes Report. April 1999. I visited Paradise Lakes for four days early in April. The resort is basically two different places; the "old" part (Phase I) is quite large, was built before 1986, and has a large Y-shaped pool, a spa, tennis and volleyball courts, lots of condos of various sizes, a mobile home park and a small area of custom-built homes. It also has a nice restaurant. Most of the permanent residents of Paradise Lakes live in this section... (click link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks Sqshyboo for the report!
o Paradise Lakes Report. More than just a trip report, this is our opinions, experiences, and tips after several week long stays at Club Paradise, a completely "clothing optional" - NUDE resort north of Tampa. Sitting here watching the snow, with the mountains of SW Colorado shrouded in clouds, my wife and I are remembering being in Club Paradise two weeks ago, nude, sitting by the pool, working on redeeming our all over tans. Pretty soon we will go out and get into the hot tub. Regardless of the tubs at all nude resorts, hot tubs really are better if there is a couple of feet of snow on the ground, with the moon on the snow and the mountains in the background... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.) Winter of 1998. Thanks Kirk for the report!
o Paradise Lakes Report. I just returned from a stay at Paradise Lakes. The place is singles friendly if you consider only their admission policy. There were a number of single males and probably four or five single females around while I was there (out of several hundred people). The single females were French and would not engage in conversation with very many people, I guess because they did not speak much English. It was interesting trying to communicate with them.Cypress Cove is a beautiful resort, with permanent housing, mobile homes, spaces for RVs and a very nice set of motel-type rooms. My stay was very enjoyable. Everyone was very friendly, and each time I was in the lounge sitting by myself some group of people would invite me to join them.... o Peninsular House in the Keys. An attractive house with heated pool/spa, boat dock & beach, in a unique tucked away, completely private location in Marathon on the Florida Keys. Visit the site for additional information.
o Playalinda Beach Report. Playalinda lives! July, 2001. After three years of boycotting Brevard County, I had to give in and get a "fix." at Playalinda. My wife and I arrived for the Friday afternoon "turn" of the parking lot at 2pm and got a space near crossover 13. We spent several glorious hours on the beach and in the water. Water must have been about 82F - nice for us Floridians. We got back to the Space Shuttle Inn in Titusville to find that Florida Today news paper had an article highlighting problems with lewd acts at a local beach that brought in comments about Playalinda. The "Facts" were distorted since they were not period specific nor location related within the 24 miles of Canaveral Seashore. [I'd call it yellow journalism.] They DID point out that there were lewd citations and arrests at places other than the "nudist areas," mostly for gay male activity... o Riverboat Nudist Club Report. March 2001. Just got back from a trip to Florida and on one of our day trips went to visit Riverboat. Some friends said it had to be seen to be believed. They were right. It sort of puts you off right away when you drive through Caliente on a really bad dirt road to get to the gate - I understand they are putting in a new road that will bypass Caliente. That would be helpful!... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks Cindy for the report.

Camping sites are available and we have paved roads to the gate. Singles friendly. Visit the site for additional information.
o Riviera Naturist Resort Report. (Riviera Naturist Resort and Sunburst Resort in Western Florida are owned by the same individual and are located near Pensacola, Florida.) May 2002. They are about half an hour apart and in many ways similar in character and appearance. We liked Sunburst a bit better though. Riviera is a small, compact park located just north of Pace, Florida. We spent a three day weekend there. It is nicely landscaped and very neat in appearance. It has nice sites for a motorhome or large trailer with full hookups and 30 amp electric. It also had a nice area for tents that was fully shaded. It is one of the friendlier parks we have visited--we were greeted and welcomed by a number of members. It has a rather small and shallow pool that gets lots of use for water volley ball with many participants. (This was a bit of a drawback for us, we would rather just float on our noodles.) There is a hot tub adjacent to the pool. Next to the pool is a nice club house with a pool table, a full kitchen and area for pop-lucks and other group events. There is a separate screened pavilion for dances with a large new deck adjoining. Two petanque courts saw some action while we were there. All these facilities are in the center of a rectangle along with a lot of lawn area, some of which is shaded. Around the perimeter of the rectangle are the campsites. This make for a convenient and cozy park layout. The park welcomes singles, children; and pets on a leash. Smoking is not permitted in the buildings or pool area. We rate parks we visit on a scale of 0 to 3. Riviera earned a well deserved 3-. Thanks Phoonist D'Noodist for the report!

o Seminole Health Club - Davie, Florida. November, 2002. I thought you might like to know I stayed there recently in my motorhome and no mention was made of the fact that I am a single male. The place is a bit rustic, but that is OK with me. I even got cooked a nice breakfast in the restaurant on Sunday morning. I had a very pleasant stay. It's a little tough to find and I am good with directions. Thanks Jim for the report!
o Singer Island Report. May 2007. This report is on Singer Island just north of Palm Beach, FL in the John D. MacArthur State Park and Beach. This beach has in the past been mentioned as a place where nudity was possible and it still is possible. I was there Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The beach is about 1.75 miles long. The park charges a $4.00 entrance fee per car. From 8:00 to 4:00 there is a shuttle that takes you from the parking lot to the beach across a .3 mile long wooden bridge to the beach... o South Florida Free Beaches (SFFB) is dedicated to the establishment of clothing-optional beaches in South Florida. It is a not-for-profit group of volunteers begun in 1980. We are organized to promote the concept and ideals of naturism as a way of life, and to secure the establishment of clothing-optional beaches, parks and recreation areas. We believe that exposure of the entire body to sun, sea and air is beneficial. During National Nude Weekend of 1991, we "officially" established a clothing-optional section of Haulover Beach in Miami-Dade County, Florida. SFFB has worked since then to maintain and secure this quarter mile section of beach against local and statewide threats. Newsletter, nude news, art & poetry, Haulover Beach, law & politics, hotels & maps. Visit the site for additional information.
o Southern Exposure of Naples Inc. is a Travel Club Affiliated with the American Association For Nude Recreation, The Florida Association For Nude Recreation, and The Naturist Society. There is always something happening with the group. Visit the site for additional information.
o Southern Exposure, Naples, Report. March 2002. Southern Exposure is located just off of I-75. In fact, you can see the highway from the resort. While the website is uninspiring and the grounds are small, the convenient location, friendly staff, and ample sun make this a great stopping point where you can't really lose. The lake is inviting and they have several water craft for exploration. They don't allow overnight camping, which is a major negative point considering the fact that even the cheapest hotels in the area are over $120 per night. But, if you want to catch some sun, you'll lose only a couple of minutes off the highway and a few bucks out of your pocket. They are very singles friendly and will treat you like family. Thanks Drew for the report!
o Student Nudist Club is the only nudist group in the South GA / North FL catering to young adults & students. This club was founded in 2003 by students, for students at colleges and universities in the South Ga / North Fl area as well as other young adults who are interested in the nudist lifestyle. The purpose of our club is to promote co-ed social nude recreation in the South Georgia and North Florida area. We take group day trips to nearby nudist places every year where we can be bare and free in a safe and legal environment. Club membership is free, its fun, relaxing and stress free, so if you are interested just visit out website and e-mail us. Also, your privacy is our top priority!
o Sunburst Resort. A friendly club nestled in the rolling hills of Northwest Florida just 30 miles from Pensacola. Enjoy a natural setting with plenty of shade under pine, oak and dogwood trees. There are 2 swimming pools (one is heated), a hot tub, lighted tennis and volleyball courts, horseshoes, and a game room with video games, billiards and table tennis. All major parts of the park are connected by boardwalks. Three sunning areas, and numerous picnic tables dot the grounds. The clubhouse has a wide screen cable television, comfortable sofas, chairs, and tables. There is a 1/2 mile jogging/walking track around our 20 acres for the exercise conscious. Camping and rental facilities are available as well as a seasonal weekend restaurant. We have a paved road to our entrance!! Singles friendly. Visit the site for additional information.
o Sunburst Resort Report. (Riviera Naturist Resort and Sunburst Resort in Western Florida are owned by the same individual and are located near Pensacola, Florida.) May 2002. Sunburst Resort is also a smaller park, located 15 miles north of Milton, Florida. We drove over for a tour while staying at Riviera. The landscaping and upkeep of the park are excellent. Lots of pretty vegetation, obviously lovingly tended with immaculate grounds and buildings. It has excellent RV facilities with full hookups and 30/50 amp electric. There were also a lot of shaded campsites for tents and pop-ups. Charlotte, the friendly and talkative manager gave us a tour of the facilities. It has two pools, one for water volley ball and one for just lounging and swimming. There is a nice hot tub and tennis court, There is a game room with video games and a pool table. Also a nice club house and an open dance pavilion. They have a number of nicely maintained rental units and a snack bar that is open seasonally with a screened dining area. Wooden walk ways through lush landscaping connect all the facilities. Like the Riviera, the facilities are located in the center of a rectangle with campsites and seasonal homes around the perimeter. However the rectangle is probably twice as big as the one at Riviera and the perimeter road affords a half mile walking/jogging track. As we toured the park we were greeted by virtually everyone and made to feel very welcome--this is a super friendly place. Charlotte indicated that the park takes pride in its friendly, "somewhat old fashioned" family oriented environment. Pets on a leash are welcome. We did not inquire about their singles policy, but the rate sheet contains rates for singles as well as couples. There is no smoking in any of the buildings or the pool areas. On our scale of 0 to 3, Sunburst gets a solid 3 based on our brief experience there. Thanks Phoonist D'Noodist for the report!
o Suncoast Naturists is located near Sarasota and is a non-landed club. It offers a wide variety of activities to those who are interested. All private Suncoast Naturists activities are clothing optional and wholesome, allowing one the freedom of clothes-free recreation. The Suncoast Naturists (SCN) was founded in 2000 and has continued to grow since then with a current membership in excess of 70 households. The organization was formed with three distinct purposes in mind: to provide, a clothing-optional venue for nudists and naturists to socialize with like-minded people, to provide advice and counseling to elected and appointed officials thereby helping them deal with simple nudity issues on private and public lands, and to actively campaign for legally designated areas within local county owned spaces for clothing-optional recreation. SCN members continue to enjoy a diverse selection of social activities that include, pool parties at member’s homes, boating trips to local barrier islands, weekend trips to nudist resorts, croquet parties, and monthly dinners held at area wide restaurants. SCN membership is open to any person, regardless of age, religion, gender, sexual preference, or marital status. We are a family friendly social group, mostly made up of members ranging between 40 and 75 years of age, who have settled in Southwest Florida. The Suncoast Naturists has two requirements, the first being that each member must also have an active membership with either The Naturist Society (TNS) or The American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR). The second requirement is that each member abides by the rules of etiquette listed on the bottom of the membership application form. Visit the site for further information.

o Sunnier Palms Report. January 2001. My wife and I are new to nudism, starting in January of 2001. We have visited several resorts in Florida over the past several months, Sunnier Palms, Lake Como, Cypress Cove and Sunsport Gardens. Our favorite is Sunnier Palms located near Ft. Pierce Fla. It is a small easygoing resort. It has a large nature preserve with well maintained foot friendly footpaths. There are two small ponds for fishing, and it has a 8 person hot tub and a rather large nice swimming pool with a well maintained deck for working on you tan. The is a semi large clubhouse and well stocked library. The residents are the most friendly outgoing people we have ever met and are willing to help you in any way they can. About
