LAS VEGAS HOTELS classified by price and by geographical location.

o Singles Information. This is a list of the singles policies of the clubs and resorts in the United States. (This list is being updated constantly.)

o Bonita Nudist Resort is a family oriented clothing optional park located at the southern gateway to the Finger Lakes in south central N.Y. This modern 100 acre facility is nestled in deep woods, on a ridge overlooking the lovely village of Candor, New York. Singles Friendly Facility. Visit the site for additional information.
o Bonita Nudist Resort. August 2007. I recently visited Bonita Nudist Resort in Candor NY--about 20 miles south of Ithaca. This park was formerly known as Buckridge and was purchased by Jerry and Annie Troeger a few years ago. The old Buckridge was, for a brief time, somewhat of a magical place. The people were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make a newcomer feel welcome. There were lots of fun social events including regular campfires where everyone socialized, many potlucks, and lots of other fun events. Under the previous owner, the park began to experience problems in the early 2000's--most of the regulars left as a result of management policies and the infrastructure was deteriorating. Some of these problems got a lot of publicity thru the internet. I am extremely happy to report that under Jerry and Annie's new ownership the park is returning to its former glory. During my weekend visit the park was full of people, almost all of them new to the park in the last year or two. Everyone was friendly and happy. I enjoyed participating in one of the campfires which continue to be a regular feature, along with an excellent potluck luau. The Troegers have made major investments in the infrastructure, including a completely new water system, new sleeping cabins, a pool cabana, a new game room. a new pool chlorination system, a new septic for the dump station, a new office and a completely remodeled snack bar. There is free wifi in the club house area, and the entire premise is immaculate. A completely new electrical system is partially done--when finished it should support 30 and perhaps 50 amp service (today there is only rather poor 20 amp service). The snack bar serves breakfast and sandwiches, burgers, etc during the day. The park continues to be a very tranquil place with lots of woods and trails. There is a lake for swimming and fishing in addition to the heated pool and hot tub. There are lots of sites for tents and small to medium trailers. There are about 6-8 big rig sites and all but one were available for transients (however don't plan to use your air conditioning until the new electric is completed sometime in the future). All the sites have water and electric. The park is singles friendly and offers discounts to AANR members. The Troeger family does all the work themselves and do not rely on volunteer labor--demands for volunteer labor was one of the old Buckridge problems that drove people away. If you are looking for a friendly, family oriented, laid back, clean and neat, semi rustic and tranquil nudist park, Bonita is for you. Thanks Phoonist for the report.
o Brushwood is a campground and meeting place and the host site for Sirius Rising, Starwood and other annual festivals and gatherings. Brushwood offers rustic, secluded, clothing-optional camping on 180 mostly wooded acres near the town of Sherman in rural Chautauqua County, New York. The campground is equipped with hot and cold showers, flush toilets, and a swimming pool and hot tub. We have two covered pavilions near the main camping area, giving us several thousand square feet of "rain or shine" outdoor space for performances, workshops, lectures and ceremonies. We also have a heated indoor lodge for year-round use, and heated indoor sleeping accomodations for about a dozen people. Brushwood's camping fees are $10.00 per night, or $5.50 for a day visit. Heated, indoor lodging is $15.00 per night. Visitors are welcome and should call ahead at (716) 761 6750. Visit the site for additional information.
o "Buffalo in the Buff". Buffalo_Naturists is a group to promote naturist activities, such as nude swims, visits to nudist resorts, and other naked non-sexual get-togethers, in the Western New York, Niagara, and Buffalo area. We’re open-minded and expect the same from our members. We do not discriminate on sexual practices. It’s irrelevant. So, if you are a swinger or gay or bisexual or straight, prude or lewd, whatever, you’re welcome to join us. All we ask is respect for the other person. Basically, we enjoy the freedom of being nude, and, if it is new to you, we are inviting you to try nudity for its own sake. We are a very active group. Sometimes it is controversial! Our site has lots & lots of links to other websites. We have a steadily growing membership, both on the site and in person when we have an event. Please come see what we do and what we talk about. Visit the site for additional information.
o Clothing-Optional dining group in Manhattan and beyond. Activities include dinners, comedy night, social gatherings. Visit the site for additional information on how to join the group.

o Empire Haven Nudist Resort and Campground Report. September 2000. Near Moravia. This resort/campground was winding down for the season when I visited. They have a well maintained clubhouse with snackbar which is adjacent to the all-inclusive deck area with pool, hot tub, spa and sauna. The requisite volleyball, tennis and petanque courts, shuffleboard deck and horseshoes pit are also nearby. There is plenty of lawn area should one not want to sun near the pool, a pavilion, and lots of room to roam. Few other guests were present this particular day, but those to whom I spoke were friendly and indicated that the weekends are quite busy. The day rate of $18 was reasonable. Thanks Irish for the report!
o Empire Haven Nudist Resort Report. The directions given in the book are right on. We had no trouble finding the club. We were greeted by our host who was helpful with showing us the grounds and invited us into their weekend activities. The atomosphere was delightful. The locals were very friendly and helped out. The camping areas are good size with plenty of room to move even the biggest of rigs about... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.) Thanks DCupstateny for the report!
o Frogtown at the pond is a "gem in the rough" located on the grounds of Steph’s Pond, a clothing optional retreat 1/2 hour from Rochester, N.Y. Visit the website for additional information.
o Full Tan Sun Club. Carol and I have been long time members of the Full Tan Sun Club. (going on our 13th season). The club started in 1967 and was owned and operated by Richard and Marie Roberts. The Roberts operated the club until the 2001 season. Due to failing health he was going to close the club and that's when Carol and I talked it over and decided to buy the property. With the new purchase we also have a new attitude. We are a family oriented nudist park (not clothing optional). We welcome singles, couples and families. We require a valid photo I.D. for entry into our Park. We want people to be treated the way we would like to be treated. We greet people with a smile and welcome hello. Being a smaller park we can take a little extra time to get people used to their surroundings, especially if they are first timers. We have brochures available if people call (518)673-2886 or e-mail us. Our mailing address is P.O.Box 360, Warnerville, N.Y. 12187.Singles Friendly. Visit the website for additional information.
o Full Tan Sun Club Report. June 2003. Earlier this month I had a day off from a business trip in upstate New York so I spent the night and most of the following day at Full Tan Sun Club in Sprakers, less than an hour's drive west of Albany. The place is on the rustic side, but has a nice clubhouse. The facilities are extraordinarily clean, although a little primitive for my tastes. They keep the pool covered while no one is using it. Carol Bingham, who co-owns the place with her husband, Buck, is one of the nicest people you'll ever want to meet. They and some other family members do just about all the work there, from cooking (very good) to maintenance, and the pride they take in their work and business is obvious. Overnight accomodations are in few old, but well-kept trailers. Bedding and a few bottles of water are supplied. Carol told me that most wireless phones work only outside of buildings, but my AT&T phone worked everywhere I went on the premises. The clubhouse has a giant screen TV with an antenna that picks up many stations considering the camp'location. There are board games, some of which are home-made games that appear to have been invented by Carol's family. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend Full Tan to anyone looking for completely non-sexual nude recreation in a very friendly atmosphere. Thanks Joel for the report!
o Full Tan Sun Club in Sprakers, New York, Report. On Friday, June 22, 2001, I went to the Full Tan Sun Club, in Sprakers, New York, to check it out for my club’s upcoming Independence Day Picnic on July 7. Now I heard some of the bad reviews about the place before, how the owner didn’t allow singles in, and how only married couples we’re allowed in. But now, Full Tan Sun Club is under new management, and they are now allowing singles in. I drove into the place and met Carol, one of the managers there, she gave me the grand tour and told me about the ownership change and how they had a lot of fixing up to do. The place has a clubhouse with snack bar, swimming pool, pond, showers, outhouses, tenting and RV sites. Most of the camp is open, with a few wooded trails around the property. Carol introduced me to a few of the members and residents of the club, everyone was very friendly and was glad to meet me. I definitely will enjoy coming back to Full Tan from time to time, as it is the closest resort to me, I will also recommend this place to my club to have the picnic and other events. Also to note, Full Tan is nude, not clothing optional, with exceptions to weather and first timers. Thanks NudeCJ, also known as Chris, for the report!

The opening weekend for the 2001 season will be on May 18. The campground will be open for weekends only (opening Friday at noon thru Sunday 8pm) until July 1. After the first of July, Juniper Woods will be opened daily. Special rate if you arrive after 6pm and leave before 9am. Mailing address is Juniper Woods, 1226 Schoharie Turnpike, Catskill, NY 12414. Phone: 518/945-1399. Singles Friendly. Visit the website for additional information. (See our listing in TanPages.com)
o Juniper Woods Report, First-Timer's Thoughts. July 2001. A week ago last Saturday (26 July 2001) I visited Juniper Woods in Catskill, New York, and I thought I'd share my impressions. As this was also my first trip to a nudist facility, I'll say a few words about that too. It may be helpful to know that I was raised in a household that wasn't particularly clothes-compulsive, at least up until my early teens (my parents are sort of aging hippies, and I'm an only child, FWIW). Somewhere along the line in my teens, though, my parents started sending me mixed messages about casual nudity, and, whether that had anything to do with it or not, I became quite shy about even taking my shirt off in front of others. However, I've always believed intellectually that nudity was a Good Thing (I argued strongly and successfully against prohibiting it in an intentional community I was involved with), and I've been wanting to visit a nudist venue at least since I was 18 or 20, when I blundered into rec.nude... o Nuding The Lake George, New York Area. August 2006. From time to time, we see queries about the Lake George area. Northwest Bay Brook Falls is still a good small nude area and there should never be a problem nude camping, swimming and hiking in the Tongue Mountain and Northwest Bay area. Today, as we've done over the last 18 years, we nuded Little Jabe Pond which sees extremely little use. There's free camping there too. Big Jabe Pond is so remote that nude camping, sunning and swimming is fine there too. If you'd like more information, email us. This report is brought to you by Camilla and Bill.
o Long Island Travasuns, Inc. The Long Island Travasuns is a family-oriented nudist travel club providing wholesome social activities for its members since 1976. During the summer, we enjoy the sun and freedom of several nude beaches located at the Fire Island National Seashore. In addition, as a group, we try to visit several nudist clubs within a day's drive of Long Island. Many of our members visit clubs all over the United States. Visit our website for information on our interactive message board and for additional information.
o Naturist Rochester. We coordinate nudist activities in & around Western NY. In cool weather, we schedule a variety of activities including open houses at 237 Vassar St., parties at member’s houses and monthly "Swim & Gym" nights at an area athletic club. In warm weather, Rochester Naturists regularly use the beaches and campgrounds of Western New York. For full information and our schedule, visit our website or call toll free (877) 522-9188. Singles Friendly. Visit the site for additional information. (See our listing in TanPages.com)
o New York City - Nudity in Theaters. October 2002. The arts in New York City are witnessing an explosion of tasteful and appropriate full frontal nudity on stage: opera, theater and dance. A few examples that I have seen this year: in Monteverdi's The Return of Ulysses at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the opening is sung by a counter-tenor portraying human frailty; he was entirely nude, and sang for easily ten minutes. In the previous production that I saw of this opera (at Glimmerglass, upstate New York, by a different company) Human Frailty wore a G string. In Hegge's Dead Man Walking at the City Opera (the story of Sister Helen Prejean and the condemned man, played in the movie by Susan Sarandon) the opera begins with the rape-murder scene. The teenagers come onto the stage nude, and are ultimated raped and murdered. They return, again nude, when the murderer confesses to the nun. In Frankie and Johnnie at the Claire de Lune, Edie Falco (Carmela Soprano on HBO) and Stanley Tucci spend the first ten minutes or so entirely nude, and take their clothes off again briefly in the second act. The play begins with their simulated sex, but afterwards they have a conversation without rushing to put their clothes back on. In Metamorphosis several of the vignettes have nudity (Psyche and Eros, for example). In the Ballet Prejlocaj's version of the Rite of Spring the Chosen One dances nude for the last ten minutes. The point of all of this is that the nudity is accepted as natural, not distracting, nothing to smirk at, by the New York audiences. This is perhaps not surprising when you consider that you can see the city from Sandy Hook, the best nude beach north of Haulover. But it may also suggest that we are looking at a cultural change of body acceptance. Thanks Mickey for the report. If you wish to contact Mickey, click HERE. o The Skinnydippers. This large nudist travel club schedules numerous social events for singles and couple, averaging six per weekend in winter and twelve per weekend in summer. Singles-Friendly Club. No website or email address at the present time. (See our listing in TanPages.com)
o Southwichs Beach, nudity banned, 2000. SIGNS ON THE BEACH: "SOUTHWICHS BEACH, upstate New York, as of summer 2000, nudity is banned, if you see anyone turn them in." This beach has been a clothing free beach since I was a teen and I'm sure before that. I've been going there since 1997, but also when I was a teen. Now as of summer 2000, they have posted signs, NO NUDITY. I plan to do a nude protest, at the sign and send it to the November 2001 issue of the BULLETIN, from AANR. This beach is listed in the "NORTH AMERICAN GUIDE TO NUDE RECREATION" and now is restricted.
o Swimming Holes East. You have found THE web site for over 150 beautiful, natural swimming places in 20 States in the Eastern U.S. - Maine to Florida. A cool, refreshing swim in a river, creek, spring or waterfall is the perfect compliment to your favorite outdoor activity - be it hiking, camping, canoeing, rafting or just exploring. Our focus is on moving, fresh water spots, like creeks, rivers, springs and waterfalls. We will also list swimming places on lakes, quarries or bays which have unique features that make them especially beautiful or fun for swimming, but not the typical state park lake or ocean beach. Visit the site for additional information.
o Yoga. (Coed nude Yoga in New York City). December 2005. Every Monday night at 7:00 PM the wonderful Wendy Tremaine leads a coed nude yoga class in the Union Square neighborhood of Manhattan. Wendy is an artist and yoga instructor. About 10 to 20 people show up, mostly male but some women. The class lasts about an hour and half. It is nude, not clothing optional, and the yoga exercises range from gentle to slightly challenging. The members meet outside a small locked office building around 6:50 pm, go up the creaky elevator to a dance studio with a comfortable soft floor. Wendy is a very gentle teacher, and no one who cannot do a particular pose feels inadequate or out of it. She provides yoga blocks to help people who can’t reach certain stretches. Wendy teaches two classes a week here, one textile, the other naked. The participants in the naked yoga class are expected to have their own mats, which they can store in the studio. If you don’t have a mat Wendy can get one for you for $20.00. The class costs $15.00 per person. To try it look at http://gaiatreehouse.com/yoga.htm and sign up for the naked yoga newsletter. Wendy wrote an article about the class in N last summer.A transcript of her N article is http://gaiatreehouse.com/naturalyogaarticle.htm. Thanks Mickey for the report.
