o Bagby Hot Springs. Southeast of the town of Estacada, outside of Portland. A well-planned rustic facility featuring hot mineral water supplied through a 150-foot log flume. A lush rain forest and tumbling mountain stream make the 1.5 mile access trail enjoyable in its own right. Elevation 2,200 feet. Open all year. Two springs at 135 degrees which go to an outdoor, round cedar tub on a deck. Bathhouse. All facilities are made possible and are managed by the Friends of Bagby Hot Springs, Inc., a non-profit volunteer organization operating under a special use permit with the Forest Service to restore, preserve and maintain the area. o Collins Beach, Sauvie Island, Report. August 13, 2000. Bright sunny day at Collins Beach. Plenty of deep sand and water warm enough to swim or wade in. About 600-800 or more on the beach during the day. Some stayed fully or partially clothed, but about 90 percent were completely nude. Greatest crowds were at pathways #2 and #3 at the volleyball area and just north of the volleyball area. Mostly small groups of 2-6 with a lot of singles laying out in the sun. Several boats moored near #2 area. Some were sunning nude on their boat, others were ashore chatting... (click preceding link to read the rest of the report.)
o Fisher Hot Spring, North of Adel, Report. 2005. Directions: On SR 140, go east from Adel for 5 miles. Turn left on a gravel road and go 7.8 miles. Bear left at the fork and head north for 2.9 miles; an ranch house will be on the left. Go straight about 1/4 mile to the soaking tanks which you can drive right up to. N 42 17.820 W 119 46.560. Report: This is the only Oregon hot spring we've nuded (so far) and it's a neat soak with lots of flow. Free camping. No facilities; bring everything you need. Elevation 4,450 feet - they have REAL winter there and the road may be impassable because of snow or mud. One time we were heading back to Leonard HS in California via the desolate back roads and experienced a snowstorm so blinding, we could barely stay on the road. BE CAREFUL and KNOW YOUR LIMITS. All supplies may be obtained in either Adel, Oregon, or Denio Junction, Nevada. A variety of soaking tanks (3 last time we were there) are located against a barren hillside on the edge of the Alvord Desert out of which flows a huge amount of 130 degree water. Temperature is controlled by diverting the pipe away from the soak. When you're done soaking, please leave the pipe out of the tank, otherwise it will be WAY too hot for the next soaker and there's a danger of scalding. Litter free; please keep it that way = LNT. It was at Fisher that we met folks who'd soaked here - it was like a reunion of old friends! They are the ones who told us about Dixie Valley Hot Springs. o Restful Haven Report. July 2000. I travel frequently for my job, and have begun to compile a list of resorts, beaches and the like where I can spend time when my business is finished in a particular area. A very pleasant visit was recently at Restful Haven in suburban Portland Oregon. I found this resort on your site (NetNude) and when I called for directions, Ernie could not have been more gracious. Upon my arrival he gave me a tour of the sparkling facility and told me to enjoy the day. A beautiful Pacific Northwest day beaconed me to the crystal clear, 83 degree (F) swimming pool where I completed many laps of stress-free swimming. As this was a weekday, there was not a lot of other activity, however the few folks present who were either members or other visitors were friendly, conversant and willing to share their experiences at this and other resorts. Restful Haven can certainly expect to see me again. Thanks Irish for the report!

o Terwilliger Hot Springs Report. April 2004. Recently I was able to stretch out a business trip to the Pacific Northwest to give me a few days to goof off. Since many of the hot springs in Washington were still snowbound I decided to head south to Oregon. Staying in Portland, I visited the Inner City Hot Tubs, a clothing optional spa and sauna place located in a very cool neighborhood, hiked to Bagby Hot Springs, a subject for a forthcoming trip report, and had my second visit to one of my favorite spots, Terwilliger Hot Springs, also known as Cougar Hot Springs...
