Report:

2005. We first read about this one long ago in the 80's version of Maggie & Jim Cunningham's VERMONT UNVEILED and were finally able to visit in 1997 while staying at the fabulous Punch Bowl just down the road. Only in Vermont could one find such a pristine pond within walking distance of high priced condos; a famous woman author with a novel recently on the Best Seller List frequently goes nude there.

Not a speck of litter, nice firm gravel bottom, warm, clear water, grassy sunning area, good sun window, possible free nude camping and RV parking at the gravel bank. Long established tradition of nude use. Sometimes all there are nude, sometimes not, typical of areas like this. A short, easy hike and, contrary to the unwritten law of Nekkist areas, it's DOWNHILL all the way back to the parking lot. Elevation 1,872 feet.

In Hot Water,
Camilla Van Sickle & Bill Pennington
