NetNude Gathering Report 2002 at
Shangri La Resort in Arizona

April 2002

I was planning on leaving for the NetNude Gathering on Friday afternoon at 4:30 P.M. when I made a call to the friend that was going to attend the Gathering with me and she didn't feel right about the trip. So I did every thing I could and a half hour later I was heading to Shangri La Ranch 2. At 8:30 P.M. MST on Thursday evening I left my home, and headed west on I-70. I know that if I had stayed any longer that I was to face a snow storm in the morning, and I am rather a snow-bird if I can be. About an hour later I met up with some snow in Idaho Springs, CO. I was going to head back home; I don't like to drive in the snow. It was coming down fast and wet, but I gave the snow 10 minutes to lighten up. And lighten up it did, I'm glad I didn't turn back.

I arrived at Shangri La at 12:30 P.M. and spent my afternoon alone, and relaxing nude in the shady parts to keep from adding to a sunburn that I had gotten three weeks prior. I sat some in the hot tub, and spoke to a few residents. But I was alone.

Then I ran into a very personable person by the name of Alice; she quizzed me as to who I was and why I had come down. I told her that I was there with the NetNude Gathering and she informed me that she was part of the group, and wanted me to follow her down to the Bare Buns Bistro, where they were all having dinner. I went and met a fabulous bunch of people from Canada, and the US. I meet Steve from TX, NevadaNaturist from NV, David the husband of Alice, they are from CA, and The Fantastic Jan C. from Canada. Please forgive me for not listing all of you; I don't want to write a book just a trip report.

The group of NetNuders were lively, and fun, with a great sense of humor. The group after dinner went on a hike, where they saw wild animals, and plants. I didn't go with them; I have some feet problems and didn't want to aggravate them.

After the walk we went to Karaoke, and at the encouragemnet of Jan I got up and did a number. That was a good decision, because it introduced me to residents and visitors alike who later I became quiet close with.

On Saturday the group took a picture or two for the website; afterwards they got restless, I guess, and started to terrorize each other with assaults of water weapons the US and Canadian Military would be in envy of. People where being shot from what seemed to be miles away. Yours truly even was attacted by friendly fire. And I did everything that I could to protect myself from the attact against my life. I disarmed the person, and refilled with ammo at least twice.

Later we had body painting, and the NetNude Group was in a vast drey of designs, flowers, symbols... they were a motley crue. I even had a BIG Bulls eye painted on my back, a threat of a future endangering in the form of a water war that will not be in my favor.

I had a multitude of pleasure with the NetNuders, and they were very generous in allowing me to stay in the spare bedroom. For which I am very thankful.

Saturday evening we were to go to one the dances that Shangri La has every week, but the atmostphere was not a G rating so I left. I believe the rest of the NetNude Group felt the same way that I did about that event.

Sunday night I said good-bye to most of the NetNude Group, they were heading home early in the morning, so it was off to find some other friends to entertain me for the rest of my stay.

Steve from TX, told me that at Shangri La they were holding a TNS Festival the following weekend, so I remained on for one more week. I met so many people from all over the country that I am so glad I stayed.

I meet Eileen from AZ, Jeff from NM, Mark and Manya and their two wonderful kids, and lots of residents of Shangi La Ranch 2. I also desired to stick around to meet the AZ Wildflowers, and I was very pleased to have meet them. I am planning at the time of this writing to say in AZ near the Phoenix area this coming late fall and all of the winter. And I plan on going to club events with the Wildflowers if they will have me.

If you missed this years NETNUDE GATHERING don't fear, there are plans for a Gathering in 2003. I hope that it will be in CO, NM, or TX, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Shangri La had 2 clubhouses, a covered hot tub, and an outdoor pool. I recommend the club to all who desire nude recreation.

Overall I rate my trip a Four Stars out of a possible Five Star. I will be back to Shangri La.
