NetNude Gathering Report 2002 at
Shangri La Resort in Arizona

April 2002

The trips first 6 hours started in Toronto with a minor delay as we waited for a cockpit speaker... then we had to look for someone to find ground personnel to close the airplane door.

Finally Helen Keller brought the plane to a tumultuous landing at Phoenix, Arizona and our adventure began. We promptly found the beer/liquor store and made our purchases. Next stop, Wal-Mart for some badly need water guns, snacks, sneakers, sandals and volleyball.

We found Shangri La with no trouble and checked in. Nicholas was my first official greeter and showed us to the Lodge. Phil and I opted for the East bedroom, which opened to the back porch and had a lovely view of hundreds of wind chimes that gracefully decorated the mobile home behind us.

Dinner was fabulous at Chez Nicholas... ALL WEEK! Morning walks led us to an array of snakes, birds, rabbits and the occasional javolenias. (Spanish for wild boar with big teeth and mean disposition) After the many breakfasts, lunches and dinners we had at Chez Nicholas, I made it a habit to share the food with the wildlife.

I shared much of Phil’s food with the rabbits and Bob’s food with the birds... they are very good at protecting
