There haven't been many updates this month. The photo gallery has been checked for valid email addresses so that is finished. I am currently working on updating TanPages.com. After that all of the old trip reports on NetNude will be put into an 'archive' section leaving only reports from the past three years in the active section.

a. Europe, Italy: I Nudisti. English: I Nudisti is the site of a group of normal people, morally responsible, singles, couple or families, that have in common the passion to be naked. Even if it is not clear the border that delimits the naturism from the nudism, shortly we can define like nudists the part of naturists that like to undress of the own clothes, leaving to the second the deepening of the naturism like philosophy of life. Visiting this site you will have the possibility to know the ones and the others and to understand which is the relationship of these with the nakedness. Visit the site for additional information.

1. Reports and locations: (go to location on site to read the rest of the reports)
a. USA, Florida: Caliente Resort. May 2007. I had a meeting to attend in Sarasota, but I had an afternoon off, and I went up to Caliente. This is an upscale resort just north of Tampa, in Pasco County, a naturist-friendly county with a number of clothing optional resorts. I visited Caliente on a weekday last year, and it was very quiet. Last Saturday it was booming. You drive in past the gate - the clothed woman at the gate who, I had assumed, would check my TNS card (because I was a single male) just waved me on in, and told me to register at the gate. This was not what I expected, given the stern warning on the web that single men would not be admitted unless they had been AANR members for more than a year (I am not, but I was prepared to argue my legitimacy by showing my NetNude posts!)...

b. Canada, British Columbia: Wreck Beach Report. August 2007. Let me start out by saying that Vancouver is one of the friendliest cities that we have been to. A couple of weeks ago, my wife Barb and I hopped on the Amtrak Cascades 510 out of Seattle for a two day visit to Vancouver and especially Wreck Beach. The 4 hr train ride along Puget Sound in itself is gorgeous, but pulling into Vancouver with the magnificent mountains all around is breathtaking. After checking into our hotel, we quickly figured out Vancouver’s very efficient mass transit system and about an hour later we were on the UBC campus heading for trail 6. We didn’t have any problems finding the trail head; we just followed the throngs of people, mostly college kids heading for the beach. Once at the trailhead, it is a VERY steep decent to the beach. Something like 400 steps. It will definitely test the cardiovascular system on the climb back up, but the effort is more than worth it. Wreck Beach has some spectacular views. The mountains in the distance are incredible. The dark colored sand is very nice. The tree covered cliffs to the rear. Just all around beautiful. The water was a little chilly so we didn’t stay in too long. Being we just arrived from the U.S. east coast heat wave, we stayed mostly on the sand. There were however, a lot of people enjoying the water. Hearty Canadians much more used to cool summertime water temps than we were. We were on the beach on a Monday, and I’m guessing there were close to 800 people there. Perhaps a bit more. The weather was perfect. Bright sunshine, a few clouds, and temps in the upper 70’s. A most memorable beach visit for sure. There were vendors on the beach (we bought a couple of slices of pizza and the shirt, lol), some folks playing guitar, and lots of boogie boards in the surf. There were a few families with small children also. Naturism is alive and well in Vancouver. Our friends to the north certainly have a natural unspoiled jewel in Wreck Beach, and I encourage anyone who is even remotely close to go visit. You will not be disappointed. One can only hope it remains that way. The folks at Wreck Beach Preservation Society are doing their best. Lets hope their efforts and success continue.

c. Greece: Athens, Greece. June 2007. On a trip to a meeting in Greece, near Athens, I found a number of interesting nude beaches. None were official, but several were wonderful. The best was Ramnous. This is also the hardest to find. It lies on a wild coast east of Marathonas, a coast so wild that Google Maps does not display any roads in the area. Take the road to Schinias, a large sandy beach. You will see a sign to Agyas Marinas FB, a ferry port. You might also see a sign to the archeological site of Ramnous, the Temple of Nemesis. On the road from Schinias to Agyas marinas you will see a left turn to Grammatico. Take it. Before you reach Grammatico you will see a a very sharp right turn, close to 145 degrees. The road is marked to Limounas . Coming from Grammatico you can see the sign...

d. Crete: Sougia, Crete, Report. May 2006. In May of 2006, my wife Barb had a chance to visit Crete. We were in Europe for a wedding and decided to extend our stay a bit and take a week beforehand and try to find some warm weather and a chance to get in some nude sunning. Southern Crete seemed like a good choice. We originally were going to stay at the clothing optional Vitromartis Resort on southeast Crete, but a delay in a response from the resort owner forced us to change plans (turns out he was on his honeymoon so it was not his fault). Anyway, we looked around some on the web and decided on a little village on the southwest shore of Crete called Sougia, accessible by either a very winding mountainous 3 hr road trip from Chania (which we did in a rental car), bus or by ferry. If you do rent a car, make sure you have a full tank of gas before leaving northern Crete. Gas stations are just about non existent along this route...

e. Germany: Therme Erding, Munich, Germany. October 2007.Just outside of Munich, about 20 minutes from the airport, is the world’s largest sauna establishment, Therme Erding. To get there from Munich, take the S2 to Erding. During the week there are two buses which go to the Therme. On weekends you have to walk 0.8 km. Or, if you are driving, follow the signs to Erding (off any of the Autobahns near the airport) and the road to the Therme Erding is well marked. There is lots of parking. You enter into a large entryway, with a store and and entrances for 3 different places: the textile thermal pool ("Badeparadis"), a water park with huge water slide (Cyclone), and the Sauna Paradis. The last time I visited the Therme Erding it was pretty wonderful. Now it is astounding. The changing area for the sauna formerly was the changing area for the entire establishment. Now it is limited to the sauna. In the changing area half of the lockers are between modesty cubby holes. The idea was that you went into a cubby hole with your bathing suit in your hands, and came out with your bathing suit on. The rest of the lockers don’t bother with that particular nicety. You go through the men's and women's room into the junction between the textile zone and the old sauna area - half a dozen saunas, some lounges, a Kneip parcourse and a small pool which leads into a much larger outdoor pool. To the left is the entrance to the new sauna area...

f. Germany: Thermalbad Aukammtal - Wiesbaden, Germany. September 2007. Thermalbad Aukammtal is a swim recreation area and spa in Wiesbaden, Germany. The swim and spa sections are separate areas, with bathing suits required in the swim section, and textile-free or nude preferred (German employee terminology--not mine) in the spa section. I made two separate visits to the spa. The spa section has 3 saunas, a steam room, and a hot tub in the downstairs indoor area; above the indoor saunas is an indoor lounging area and food & beverage area. There are 3 more saunas, a warm pool, sunning deck, lawn area, and 2 temperature-controlled solariums in the outdoor area. There a cold tubs in both the indoor and outdoor sauna areas (Germans seem to enjoy cycles of thermal shock).

g. Mexico: Punta Serena Report, near Manzanillo. Third Trip. November 7. English and Spanish Versions. (English) Once more, my wife and I had the opportunity of enjoying four days at Punta Serena, which is, doubtless, our nudist favorite place. THE TRIP. Just after the Anabel's favorite singer show, at 3:15 on the cold early morning of November 02, we got in our car and started on our way to Punta Serena, stopping briefly at home just for change clothes and pick the luggage up. So at four o'clock we were at the gas station, filling the tank and buying two cups of coffee. Minutes later, I was driving on the toll road to Colima, with my wife sleeping deeply. 220 miles ahead the paradise was waiting for us. The journey was very pleasant, with my favorite music, little traffic and excellent weather conditions, I stopped a lot of times either to buy Cokes and to relieve my bladder. The first light of dawn coincided with our arrival to the Pacific coast; a short time later, Anabel eyes contributed to illuminate a splendid day of incredibly blue sky. At 8:15 we were checking in at the Punta Serena reception desk...

h. USA, California: Harbin Hot Springs Review. 2007. I have visited Harbin Hot Springs sporadically for the past 20 years. In 2007 I visited Harbin three times under three very different conditions. The three conditions were: * Hottest day of the year - too hot to walk on the pavement. Great day! * A pretty warm day but on a three day holiday weekend - try to avoid the three day weekends. Too many people! * And finally a cool rainy day on a Sunday in the fall - wonderful but the swimming pool was too cold - at least for me. (More on the great pool later.)...

2. Reports and locations: (go to location on site to read the rest of the reports)
a. USA, California: Swallows Sun Island Report. June 2007. We visited Swallows Sun Island resort in early June 2007, and its was a satisfactory but not outstanding experience. The grounds are fairly nice and well kept. The pool is very good with nice sun decking around it. The hot tube is a nice one, but is in very drab surroundings. The accommodations are in a motel type building and are clean. However, the bath is a shared one down the hall, and the room and bed were very small. Our strongest criticism is the cost of staying there, which, with fees, was about $130 per night. I don't mind paying that much but in this case the accommodations were not at all worth it. The "resort" seems much more attuned to its permanent residents than to visitors. We were the only couple staying there during our visit.

b. USA, California: Sequoians, Castro Valley, California. September 2007. This resort is in a perfect setting. Its convenience to urban and suburban areas is surprisingly good. My visit to the Sequoians was my first nudist experience, as well as the first trip to the Sequoians. The grounds are well kept, and the creature comforts were all I could ask for in this more rustic setting. There was an "at home" feeling to the place, and I found it easy to introduce myself as a newcomer. I entered the place as a stranger, and at the end of the day, I left as a friend. The swimming pool was nicely maintained and solar heated; perfect for swimming. Also there was a fine spa for relaxing in. The restrooms are located adjacent to the swimming pool, and there are outdoor heated shower facilities next to the rest room. A roomy recreation room is nicely appointed with a full kitchen for guest usage, a stage for musical performers, a piano for talented members to play, good size television with plenty of movies on tape. Outside the rec room are plenty of picnic tables for outdoor meals. There are plenty of trails within the property for those who like to long walks. It is hard to imagine anything that was lacking. The entry fees are quite modest for all you get. Overall, I would rate the Sequoians very favorably.

c. USA, California: Lupin Lodge California, Trip Report. September 2007. The bottom line is: we loved this place to the point that we joined Lupin Lodge family nudist park. I will not spend much time reviewing their facilities as that is done on their own web site. Lupin is located conveniently enough between the San Francisco/San Jose area and the pacific ocean, just off hwy 17. Find Los Gatos California on the map and you have found Lupin. You simply Have to stay in a Yurt. Our first one was nicely done and had red sheets and pillow cases, which gives me an idea as to what to shop for now. Then get up in the morning, stroll over to the restaurant for coffee and greet the sun. Oh-- the area is replete with wildlife- including a couple of stray cats...... I seem to remember a sign that said you are not supposed to allow a cat into your Yurt. Of course this is exactly what we did, and Kitty Cat spent the night snuggled in and purring between us. We should have adopted the cat right there. Enjoy the pool and new spa. Michael and Janet, now Lupin members.

d. USA, California: Gray Whale Cove State Beach, California. 2007. Gray Whale Cove State Beach is located just a few miles up Highway 1 from the town of Montera. (N. of Half Moon Bay). There is a good sized parking lot on the east side of the road (away from the ocean) and a safe but steep trail down to the beach. Actually the trail drops down about 50 feet from the road and then there are stairs the last 80 or so vertical feet to the beach. Looking out at the ocean, to the left (south) is a fairly large expanse of sand nestled in a cove with steep vertical rock cliffs. Surfers and families like this section and it is usually free of litter and over crowding. Heading north around a series of rocks jutting out into the surf (calm or violent depending on the time of year) is a much smaller beach. This beach historically has been a nude beach and the sheltering rocks and high cliffs on this end make it a good place to come on the days when the wind is blowing but the sun is still out. On the days that I have visited both beaches there were very few people. This is probably due to the somewhat strenuous walk down and up the steps and the trail to the parking lot. The nude section attracts about an equal percentage of males and females. The people that I have met seem to be a mellow nature lovers just looking for a place to get an all-over tan. Also, I have seen nude people on the south beach but that is not too common. There are more people there and that beach can be seen from the road above in a few places. That is not to say that you don't see nude people walking from one end of the two beaches to the other - you do. The water is far too cold to swim in and the waves even on a calm day make it extremely dangerous for a swimmer without a wet suit. Also, dogs are not allowed on either beach. If you are looking for a couple of pocket beaches for a quick stop (and a vigorous walk) or to spend the entire day in (or out of) a swimsuit, this is one of the best beaches in Northern California.

e. USA, California: Pomponio State Beach Pomponio State Beach, California. 2007. Pomponio State Beach Pomponio State Beach is located 14.5 miles south of Half Moon Bay on Highway 1. There is a well marked parking lot that holds about 75 cars. The lot is patrolled so even when there is not attendant be sure to put the $6 day fee in envelope that is provided at the guard station. (The fine for not doing so is pretty high) There are two restrooms located along the Highway side of the parking lot. The beach changes a great deal from summer to winter. In the summer, it is about 200 to 300 feet to the water and the sand is soft fine. It is easy to walk to the south over a small creek to a large sandy beach that, depending on the time of year, has quite a bit of drift wood. In the winter the creek is turned into an unpredictable river that is almost impossible to cross. At this time of the year, the beach can be within a few feet of the base of the cliff. Again in the summer, it is a nice walk to San Gregorio beach to the north along shore bounded by waves and high cliffs. To the north on a clear day, you can clearly see the lighthouse at Pigeon Point and further up the beach, the radar towers on the point near the Half Moon Bay boat harbor. (It is about 1.5 miles from Pomponio State Beach to San Gregorio Beach.), There are several promontories of land that jut out making a series of very private beaches that are perfect for a quiet day on the ocean. On this main expanse of the beach to the north, it is rare to see more than a few people an hour walking along the beach. It is also rare to see more than 5 or 10 people spread out along the mile walk in little encampments on the upper sand. There are several places along the long section to build wind shelters with the available drift wood. In the summer a small number of people and sunbathe topless or nude in almost complete privacy. In the winter, the nice sand is pulled out to sea into deeper water leaving a coarse gravely sand that is much darker in color. The water surges much closer to the base of the cliffs and it is easy to get cut off by the rising tide between the points of land that form the pocket beaches. This is extremely dangerous! It is impossible to climb the cliffs to the safety of the trail and road above. (The cliff is from 60 to 120 feet high and straight up and made up of crumbly sand and mud-like stone.) The ocean is unsafe for swimming and there are frequently undertow conditions and swirling waves along the deeper holes in the sand along the surf line. Fee $6 per day for one car No dogs No lifeguard Pack out your litter.

f. USA, California: Red White and Blue Beach, California. 2007. Red White and Blue Beach is closed! Ralph Edwards, owner and operator, has closed his business for good. That means there is no more day-use, camping, or special events at this wonderful place on the coast.

g. USA, California: California Dreamin’ - Harbin Hot Springs (and Lupin). November 2007. This past November, my wife Barb and I took a mini vacation to the west coast for some much needed unwind time. We flew into San Francisco and being dedicated naturists, like to stay at nude venues as much as we possibly can when we travel; even if it’s only for a day or a night. So, instead of staying at a regular hotel, which we both get enough of (especially Barb) with work, opted to stay the night at Lupin Lodge south of 'Frisco' before heading north up the coast highway. After picking up our rental car and a light-traffic 40 min drive south, we arrived early afternoon and got settled into a yurt we had reserved. Although not 5 star quality, it was more than adequate; clean, quiet and comfortable. We stripped off our bothersome clothes and immediately headed to the hot tub and pool area for some welcome soaking after the 5 hr non-stop from the east coast. It was a late autumn, mid-week afternoon and as a result, there were only a few people about even though it was sunny and warm. But everyone who was there was very friendly to us 'right coasters'. We struck up a very nice lengthy conversation in the hot tub with a lovely woman from Alaska and ended up joining her for wine at sunset on the restaurant’s elevated deck with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains followed by a very nice meal in the dining room.Afterwards, another soak in the hot tub and we were ready to call it a night. The next morning we checked out with the nice office folks and headed north up the absolutely beautiful coast highway to the Redwoods. There were quite a few secluded beaches along the way that just begged for nude exploration, but it was a little cool and we wanted to get up to Eureka. After a couple of days enjoying/ hiking the grandeur of the Redwoods we headed south to what turned out to be the highlight of our trip, Harbin hot Springs. We almost made a decision before we planned our trip to not go to Harbin, as Barb had found a trip report of it that was less than enamoring. I think it was written by the same couple that posted a less than favorable report here on Netnude, although that is not where Barb read it. I believe she had seen their report on a non-naturist travel forum. It was due to RobC’s rebuttal report and posts here on Netnude that I convinced Barb that we should give it a try. Being how she enjoys hot springs, it wasn’t a hard sell. And let me tell you are we glad we did. Harbin is an incredible experience. The waters alone are certainly enough to make one never want to leave. That being said, one has to understand that Harbin is ‘New Age’ in every sense of the term, so it’s easy to see why this particular couple may have had their eyes opened a bit to something other than the Christian view they see and adhere to. But never once did anyone ever try to push any sort of beliefs or anything else on us. Not once. To the contrary, everyone was as friendly and non-confrontational as you can possibly imagine. Plus Barb learned about some homeopathic medicines that relieve allergic reactions she sometimes endures. Harbin allows couples to hug and embrace in the pools (this does not mean sexual contact), and this is possibly another thing that made the couple uncomfortable. Along with there being quite a few gay and lesbian couples who enjoy Harbin, as I mentioned before, it may have been a bit more than they're used to. Let’s face it, most nudist clubs frown on couples even holding hands, let alone embracing or hugging. However, we never witnessed ANY inappropriate behavior. Just couples holding each other in the hot pool (us included). And as an aside, there were plenty of singles of both sexes enjoying the waters along with a few families with children . As a matter of fact, unlike the lack of numbers at Lupin a few days before, Harbin had a LOT of people there. Putting aside the remarkable waters for a bit, let me say that the tranquility and requested and observed quietness of the place is something that is a most welcome deviation from everyday hectic, noisy life (cell phones are prohibited anywhere on the property, including your room). The grounds are clothing optional except for inside the restaurant, café, store etc. The restaurant is primarily vegetarian, and all the meals we had were excellent. The community kitchen is strictly vegan. You can check out detailed descriptions of the waters, pools, accommodations etc at their website at harbin.org. I have to add that Barb and I treated ourselves each to a different type of massage during our visit and we both came away marveling at how good we felt. I'm not kidding, you can choose between about 20 different massage therapy techniques, each one with a massage therapist dedicated to that discipline. We hated to leave and have thanked ourselves time and again for going. We ARE going to return. And we will hopefully be able to make our next stay even longer. O, and a thank you to RobC on this site. We’ve never chatted but hopefully, we’ll meet you at Harbin.

h. USA, Florida: Haulover Beach Report. April 2007. I visited Haulover during a weekday afternoon. Rather than tell you what we all know and love about naturism, let me tell you what I saw at Haulover. Not less than four men masturbating in plain sight, and at six or seven strategically positioned to get an eye-full (legs spread) of the few women that were there. One guy decided that the restroom was too far away and relieved himself at the edge of the beach into the grass...in full view of everyone. I am disappointed about what I saw on my FIRST visit to Haulover. Having been a nudist for eighteen years and experienced nude recreation around the world, I have never seen anything like this, and I won't likely return, especially with a family. I'll stick to resorts where the behavior is modeled after the nudist ideal.

i. USA, Hawaii: Hawaii - Mauai and Big Island Update. March 2007. Back from a week on Big Island and a week on Maui. Thought I'd offer some updates from my trip. Big Island. 1. Kehena works as predicted. Very low profile - do what you want. Seemed to me that the beach has lost a lot of sand since I was there in 2001. Still, easy to climb down to, and no hassles to do as you wish. Kind of like a laid back Little Beach. 2. Beach 67 (north end of Poaku - 3o min from Kona) was great. Easy to find (althought the telephone pole is kind of tucked away from the road toward the beach). Small and nothing to rave about from a sandy, swimmy beach, but easy to get to, and not crowded on Tuesday late morning. I went top down, guy with me was bare, and there were 4-6 older nude guys and 4-6 clothed couples there. No one interacted much - most kept to their own space. 3. Makalewena Beach. Ouch - what a drive and what a walk to get to this place. Drive from highway takes about 20 minutes to go 1.5 miles. Almost need 4wd, but everything seems to make it. Take a rental. Park, then walk . . . - all lava, about 20-50 feet from ocean - takes about 10 minutes to walk to the park beach (mahai ??? beach), then another 30 minutes over tough lava trail to get to Makalewena. Worst part - - - once there, we found about 20 people - all clothed - some with kids. Another 10 or so had come from the northern road (the 4wd road), but they seemed all textile types too. So - bikini only there. Seemed pretty busy to be C.O., although it was a weekend day. 4. Last beach area south of A-Bay Beach (supposedly near old pineapple farm). Takes about 20 minutes to walk south from A-Bay along the beach. Sunday late afternoon - 4-6 people there - none were naked or topless. Kept mine on. Weekend might have been the problem here too. Maui Little Beach same as ever. About one third each clothed, topless, and nude. 80% of nudes were buff guys, 10% in-shape girls, the other 10% were a variety. Maybe 2-3 kids under 12. Kind of crowded in mid-afternoon. Love it there! Red Sand Beach in Hana - bummer. Got there around 2 pm on a rather cloudy day, found about 15 teenage kids, all with suits. Beautiful spot - would like to claim it early next time. I do hear that it is frequently nude, but was not that day. In Hana, you have to fight the weather and the timing to be first, so it's not a slam dunk. Had some hopes re. a few other beaches, but none were even topless. Same with Big Island where we found too many people and suits. So - - - a tan line kind of trip for the most part (since it was not sunny at Kehena Black Sand Beach). But other than that, you gotta admit, it's one great island. We started in Hilo, went all the way down around South Point, then spent 4-5 days in Kona, included trips all the way up north, through the saddle road, up over the high spots, etc., etc. Great island. Probably would not spend a whole week on Maui as we did, if I have it to do again. Maybe 4 days Maui, 10 (or more) Big Island. We'll be back.

j. USA, Massachusetts: Berkshire Vista Resort. July 2007. My wife and I were heading to Boston this past July for a friend's wedding and were looking for a resort to stay in along the way. As it turns out, Berkshire Vista was handy - just a short distance off I-90 - so we planned to make an afternoon's stop. I had seen it reviewed on NetNude and in the Going Natural so I thought it would be great. The fact that it was a rather cloudy and chilly day didn't make for a grand entrance, and there were few if any other people around when we got there around noon on a Friday. We checked in at the bar, showed them our FCN cards, and asked if we could have a tour of the place. They said no, they didn't do tours - it was private, but pointed out the pool in the distance. It was a little off-putting but we had driven out there so we decided to stay anyway. We paid our fees and headed off to the pool area. There were a few others at the pool, but they soon left and we were basically on our own. The clouds came and went so the sunning was not the greatest. I tried the pool and it was nice enough temperature wise. The hot tubs - yes there are 2 - were both very nice and warm, so we enjoyed them. Being the only people really at the resort seemed a little strange, but we went back at lunch and ordered food from the bar. They served us on the expansive deck - with a couple of cold beer - which overlooked the Jiminy Peaks ski resort in the Berkshire Hills. When the sun did come out we could tell it was a lovely setting for a club - and one of the people there said that on the weekend there would be several hundred people there (odd that when we left late Friday afternoon none of the several hundred had shown up yet). Berkshire Vista is a lovely club in a beautiful mountainous setting, but they need to work on their people skills.... when we commented on how unseasonally cool it was, the woman there said, hey, you're Canadians, you should be used to the cold! Since I see no reason to be going Boston way again, I doubt that we'll be back.

k. USA, Florida: Naturally Caliente! A Newcomer Nude’s Naked Observations by Madelyn Greco. 2006. Published with the permission of the author - Madelyn Greco. The main passions of my life currently all seem to afford some interesting opportunities, body-painting being no exception. The majority of the local work we do involves body-painting for theater, art galleries, special events, fashion shows, film and photography. We’re fortunate though, to have enough demand for our talents that we are also able to travel. I am the "marketing director" for our two-artist company, Living Brush Body-painting. As such, I sent out a flurry of press releases via the web this past July, after our successful attempt on the Guinness World Record for "Most Painted Bodies in a Day". I was hoping to land an especially desirable gig for Halloween, a time when our services are greatly in demand...

l. USA, Maine: Richmond Sauna Trip Report. June 2007. June 16, 2007 went to Richmond Sauna, about 20 miles south of Augusta Maine. Had the opportunity to go for a day of sunbathing and an evening sauna. Richard and Ginny are excellent hosts who also run a B&B in the old house. They have about 70 acres with total privacy. What a terrific spot. Look forward to going back again. The place has a rustic charm to it with lots of open space to walk about around the grounds. It is set in a private wooded area so you feel completely comfortable. There is lots of open space to sunbathe, a Finnish sauna that is like no other, a redwood hottub and a pool to plunge into following a super hot sauna. On Saturday night, Richard and Ginny had cake, chocolate dipped strawberries and other treats for those who came for the sauna. If you are looking for a high end resort this place is not for you, but if you are looking for relaxation and a true sense of freedom check it out. http://www.richmondsauna.com/ .

m. USA, New Hampshire: Cedar Waters Village Report. August 2007. Well, we headed to Cedar Waters Village, near Portsmouth, N.H., in early August 2007. We were planning on staying for 2-3 days and then moving on. Were we in for a big surprise! We found Cedar Waters to be just to our liking and stayed on for over a week. So, what is so great about Cedar Waters? First of all the camp and the facilities are top notch and better maintained than National Parks. They have 350 acres with their own 20 acre private lake for swimming, canoeing and kayaking; a clubhouse with lots of room; sandy beach on the lake; sunbathing lawn; cottages with lots of privacy; a wood-fired sauna that is to die for; a couple of hot tubs; restroom facilities that are amongs the best maintained anywhere; outside showers that the sun shines on as you shower; tennis court; petanque court; volleyball court; hiking trails around lake; and if that is not enough the folks at Cedar Waters make you feel absolutely at home. We felt like we were leaving real friends by the time we left. Yes there are some rules; couples only and no alcohol are the main ones, but we were fine with that. We enjoyed the serenity and it just takes one person over indulging in alcohol to ruin it for others. There is also lots going on in surrounding communities to take day trips to if to and enjoy a bit of New England culture. Terry and Mary Bonser run a top notch club that makes you feel like never leaving. It is a great spot for both a first time nudist or seasoned veteran. We are already making plans to go back....for sure!

n. USA, New York: Bonita Nudist Resort. August 2007. I recently visited Bonita Nudist Resort in Candor NY--about 20 miles south of Ithaca. This park was formerly known as Buckridge and was purchased by Jerry and Annie Troeger a few years ago. The old Buckridge was, for a brief time, somewhat of a magical place. The people were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make a newcomer feel welcome. There were lots of fun social events including regular campfires where everyone socialized, many potlucks, and lots of other fun events. Under the previous owner, the park began to experience problems in the early 2000's--most of the regulars left as a result of management policies and the infrastructure was deteriorating. Some of these problems got a lot of publicity thru the internet. I am extremely happy to report that under Jerry and Annie's new ownership the park is returning to its former glory. During my weekend visit the park was full of people, almost all of them new to the park in the last year or two. Everyone was friendly and happy. I enjoyed participating in one of the campfires which continue to be a regular feature, along with an excellent potluck luau. The Troegers have made major investments in the infrastructure, including a completely new water system, new sleeping cabins, a pool cabana, a new game room. a new pool chlorination system, a new septic for the dump station, a new office and a completely remodeled snack bar. There is free wifi in the club house area, and the entire premise is immaculate. A completely new electrical system is partially done--when finished it should support 30 and perhaps 50 amp service (today there is only rather poor 20 amp service). The snack bar serves breakfast and sandwiches, burgers, etc during the day. The park continues to be a very tranquil place with lots of woods and trails. There is a lake for swimming and fishing in addition to the heated pool and hot tub. There are lots of sites for tents and small to medium trailers. There are about 6-8 big rig sites and all but one were available for transients (however don't plan to use your air conditioning until the new electric is completed sometime in the future). All the sites have water and electric. The park is singles friendly and offers discounts to AANR members. The Troeger family does all the work themselves and do not rely on volunteer labor--demands for volunteer labor was one of the old Buckridge problems that drove people away. If you are looking for a friendly, family oriented, laid back, clean and neat, semi rustic and tranquil nudist park, Bonita is for you.

o. USA, Florida: Paradise Lakes Report. February 2008. I arrived at Paradise Lakes on Friday February 22, 2008 at about 3PM. Fortunately the weather was cooperating so I was able to enjoy all the facilities. The staff was friendly and the accommodations were excellant. They have a regular pool, a heated pool (92 degrees) and a hot tub, as well as a Key West Bar, a restaurant, and a night club. I think it is a good place for a couple if you like to socialize with like-minded people and enjoy dancing. You have a lot of options. There has been some statements about overt sexual activities at PL. There are signs around the heated pool that management may have you removed if that happens. They also had security at the pool and I did not see anything that would be considered offensive. Also there was a sign asking you to report anything you considered offensive to the management. The club had a good crowd for the DJ dance and the Key West Bar had a Karaoke Night that was well attended.

p. USA, Florida: Singer Island Report. May 2007. This report is on Singer Island just north of Palm Beach, FL in the John D. MacArthur State Park and Beach. This beach has in the past been mentioned as a place where nudity was possible and it still is possible. I was there Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The beach is about 1.75 miles long. The park charges a $4.00 entrance fee per car. From 8:00 to 4:00 there is a shuttle that takes you from the parking lot to the beach across a .3 mile long wooden bridge to the beach...

a. Canada, Ontario: Ponderosa Nature Resort. June 2007. Finally I had some time to visit this resort, directions were excellent and it is a good distance from busy Hwy # 6 approx half way between Hamilton and the 401. This resort setting is set back from a quiet concession road.Driving through the front gates along a winding road to the "security gate" I announced my self through the intercom and a friendly voice said "come on in' ! Once in side and parked I got out of my clothes - and went into the clubhouse for check -in. Again a friendly bunch of folks. Back outside I went for a self walking tour of the grounds. Lots of cedar trees, trailers, cottages and winding roads. There was a good amount of people all shapes, sizes enjoying the freedom. I was poolside a couple of times, soaking up the sun, quick rinses in the outdoor shower and a plunge into the pool. Thanks Ponderosa !

b. Canada, Ontario: Port Burwell Report. July 2007. I visited the unofficial nude beach next to Port Burwell Provincial Park last weekend. Although this is private land, as I understand it, the owner passed away last fall and it is now owned by the son. He is willing to have things carry on as before with the beach as long as everyone cleans up their own garbage and there is no inappropriate behaviour. The turnout was really good and the horse flies were not yet biting. The beach is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from parking area #5 and is long and large enough to support hundreds of people. It is a well kept secret in my opinion and we are lucky to have such a nice facility for free.

c. Canada, New Brunswick: Long Beach, Fundy Trail, Report. July 2007. Well we had quite a day yesterday. We went for a challenging 4.5 km hike (9 km total) at the Fundy Trail in NB (about 2 hours each way). The entire hike was along the coast of the Bay of Fundy and was full or all kinds of terrain and variations in elevation. This truly is a challenging hike, so don't attempt it unless you are an avid hiker and enjoy adventure. We ended up at Long Beach and had the whole beach, which goes on for miles, to ourself; not a sole in site. The water was cool but we went for a refreshing swim in the ocean. There is even a brook to bath in to get the salt off when you are done swimming. It was truly spectacular and worth all the sweat to get there (and the aches today). If ever there was heaven on earth this is it! Naturism and Nature; what a combination. If you enjoy hiking and naturism this is an excellent location to thoroughly enjoy yourself, but don't expect to see any crowds there.

d. USA, Arizona: Mira Vista resort in Tucson, Arizona. May 2007. I just spent 3 great days at Mira Vista resort in Tucson, meeting a great couple who didn't mind a single hanging out with them. On Wednesday we were the only 3 people there although several day-users joined us during the days, but my Thursday there were quite a few more people there, both singles and couples. The resort has a great staff starting with Patty who fills in for the owner Jan on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while Jan went out of her way to make me comfortable. Their cook/bartender Girard (sp!) is a great cook and very personable. Everyone else I dealt with were great as well. The rooms are old but nice. My Standard room was big enough for 1 or 2 people but the Deluxe rooms were really nice! Room number 31 allows you to get the sun from the 6 a.m. sunrise early, perfect for your morning coffee! And at 65 degree's at that time of the morning it was quite comfortable to "coffee" in the nude. Nice pool and pool area with a great shade pavillion to allow you to get out of the burning sun. It's easy to get to while being not too far out of town. I don't know if the $90.00/night price is in line with other resorts around the country but it was worth paying. It was my very first Resort experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better one!

1. Reports and locations: (go to location on site to read the rest of the reports)
a. Caribbean, Tobago: Tobago. 2007. We spent two weeks in Tobago and what a laid back and wonderful island. We stayed midway up the leeward side of the island in a little fishing village called Castara. The village is very quaint and two things not to miss are when the fishermen pull in their nets at about 2p.m. and snorkeling with the sting rays. The sting rays are constantly gliding the shoreline waiting for handouts from the fishermen. Although nudity is not allowed on the island, two beaches afford one an opportunity to go nude. Englishmen beach about 1 mile north of Castara is a very nice beach with topfree and some nudity at both ends of the beach. Also King Peters Beach about 2 miles south of Castara is very secluded and had topfree and nude beachgoers. The road to King Peters is narrow and steep so caution is needed. The lush jungles and mountain roads are beautiful and pretty well maintained. If you are looking for a quiet getaway away from the all inclusives, this is the place. Thanks grower53. If you wish to contact the person, post a message to that 'exact' alias on the message board.

b. Caribbean, Grenada: Grenada. 2006. We were in Grenada (Greeenada) in 06 for two weeks. This was one year after a hurricane demolished 90 percent of the island. The island had recovered quite nicely and everyone had great stories to tell. Most hotels were open for business with the exception of the larger hotels along Grand Case Beach which is the most popular beach. Grenada has lots of activities and sightseeing adventures and the people are very friendly. Not once were we hounded to purchase anything. We spent the first week just north of St. Georges which is the capital and main city. It is a beautiful waterfront city with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Make sure to find and drive thru the tunnel which divides the main part of the city and the north part where the open market is located. The open market was wonderful with lots of spices and fresh fruit and fish. Grenada is known as the spice island. The second week we spend in the north at Almost Paradise Resort. I only mention this as there are not too many resorts in the north and this was a really nice place. The north is like being on a different island. It is a beautiful lush area with lots of trees and vegetation. The beaches are mostly secluded and the best ones need to be walked to. Although nudity is not the norm on this island the beaches in the north are so secluded there was no problems. There was quite a bit of anti american sentiment, but directed toward the U.S. government Not U.S. people. This distinction was made clear on many billboards which thanked the American people for all their help and pointed out very little help was given by the U.S. government. One thing not to miss is Fish Friday. One little town on the west coast has a feast every Friday nite serving lots of different dishes mainly fish freshly caught. Also there are lots of side dishes with a local flare. As you drive into town it looks a little scary, but there are 4 or 5 elderly ladies whose job it is to welcome you and to make you feel at ease. Overall Grenada was a great experience and a friendly place to visit. Thanks grower53. If you wish to contact the person, post a message to that 'exact' alias on the message board.

c. Greece, Athens: Athens Report. June 2007. Last June we set off - 5 travelers from the U.S.A. in Athens! Picture a breakfast balcony with stunning view of the Acropolis, sunset views of the lit Acropolis, and well situated between the Acropolis and fabulous Natural History Museum, with various ruins in between. Mecca. We felt welcome, warm, and in awe of our explorations. That's all before the captain sent a cab to gather us from our hotel and deliver us to his dockside. We were off for a week on the water, visiting various ports along the way. The cabins are all smallish but each has a private toilet/shower. The $2400 price tag is not high, considering the places you visit, feeling like an extended Greek cousin in Captain Jonathan's care. You'll take a turn at sailing while Captain Jonathan rustles up lunches with recipes he learned at his Greek grandmother's elbow. We sure appreciated her! And each morning he was off to select the freshest breads, yogurt, fruits, vegetables, and more, to keep us well snacked. Dinner was done family style at restaurants each night, allowing us all to experience more Greek foods than we'd have known on our own, and keeping excellent food at a reasonable cost. We experienced that a great many of the locals spoke at least some English. Your captain was educated in English schools, so Americans will feel well-tended. Jonathan is an excellent guide, showing you which direction to head at each stop, and what is worth seeing. He'll arrange taxi for you, to ensure you're not paying too much, and kick you out of bed one morning early so you'll get to see Epidaveros before the tour buses are unloaded. All in all, it's a grand time, and gives one a taste of many well-known spots. If you've time after all that, there's also Vritomartis Naturist Resort on Crete, and Vassaliki Naturist Club on Kefalonia. Each is special for their own reasons - available in issue #64 of Naturally magazine.

d. Germany: Munich Airport Area Report. March 2007. For all North American naturist friends passing thru Munich Airport for business or fun. A great pampering offer is the Therme Erding (10Km from the airport) sauna paradise (30 US for 5 hrs). No words are able to express how nice it is. Over 20 Sauna's, Hammam's and more than a couple of enormous Swimming Pools are there for your enjoyment.

e. Germany: Berlin and Potsdam Report. August 2007. The Germans, especially the East Germans, have a very different attitude about nudity. We were in Berlin for two days. The weather was mediocre, but the sun did occasionally come out. A few people were sunbathing in Tiergarten, the great park in the center of the city. Some were nude, some were not. It didn't make any difference - there were no signs delineating nude and textile places. The Europa Thermen, in the Europa Center on Nurnberger Strasse, a block away from the main drag Kufurstendam, is a wonderful sauna/pool place, obligately nude. The swimming pool is mostly indoors, but has an outside channel. Several of the saunas are outside on the roof. The roof is that of a low building surrounded by some high rise office buildings. People lounge naked in the sauna garden, in full view of the surrounding office buildings. We stayed in a hotel near the Tiergarten, the Sofitel Schweizerhof. It had a huge pool which no one used nude, and a sauna area with a mixed area and a women-only area which, like all saunas in German, were nude. When we were there the only showers were in the woman-only area (Damensauna). So they put up a sign, in English and German, 'Dear Guests, the showers are for men and women'. Potsdam was the capitol of Prussia before Berlin, and after the Kings of Prussia moved to Berlin, they kept building summer homes in Potsdam. One palace is the CecilienHof, on a beautiful lake the HeiligenSee (Holy Lake). Just beyond the Cecilienhof (and an expensive hotel) on the north end of the lake, there is a series of three sunbathing lawns each of which has an easy wading entry into the lake. The two westward lawns are clothing optional, and the great majority of people were nude. Those people who wanted to wear bathing suits took their clothes off in public and put on their bathing suits, even on the textile beach. We were there between 4:00 and 6:00 PM on a Wednesday. The water was cool but not cold, clean and not algaed, with lots of fish and birds. At about 5:00 PM families started to show up, mothers, fathers, and children, most of whom took off all of their clothes. There were as many people in the clothing optional areas as there were in the textile areas. There is a little stand where you can buy drinks and soft ice cream just past the textile beach. You can reach the lake by Tram 692, the Cecilienhof stop. We walked down the east side of the lake, mostly occupied by huge villas. There was a tiny public beach about halfway down the lake. This too was clothing optional. Heiligensee is an idyllic place. It is certainly worth a trip should fate find you in Berlin.

f. France: Terra Naturis - New family naturist resort in France. March 2007. We are based in the south west of France, near Agen (Between Bordeaux and Toulouse) giving you a beautiful view on the green valley located between two rivers, the Lot & the Garonne. Our elegant 18th century stone house "Maison de Maître" on magnificent 4 acres of woods and meadows provides a safe and wholesome atmosphere where everyone can get closer to nature and enjoying his vacations "au naturel". Whether you are looking for a relaxing place to spend a night or two or somewhere to spend a couple of weeks holidays, you will find that our Bed & Breakfast or Gipsy caravans accommodations provides the ideal peaceful location. We have also a Wellness spa center with hot-tub, sauna, hydro shower, hammam and fitness machines to allow you being nude all year round ! Web site in English Terra Naturis. Domaine TERRA NATURIS - Lagrangette – 47360 ST SALVY – France - Tél. & Fax : 00 33 53 47 69 50.

g. Caribbean, St. Lucia: St. Lucia Report. 2004. We were in St.Lucia in January 2004 and nudity or topfree were only found in two places that we know of. We had rented a car and did get to most beaches and out of the way places. The hummingbird hotel in Soufriere did allow toplessness. This only occured at their very small pool and only on the last two days of our stay by 2 italian women, not on the beach. The second place was the beach that is assoiated with Ti Kaye village which is half way between Soufriere and Anse La Raye. It was common for women to be topfree on this beach. Usually on a daily basis a tour boat from the cruise ships would pull into the little bay and disembark. As soon as they saw topfree a number of them would also join in. One thing not to miss is Anse La Raye on Tuesday nites (I think). They have a street festival where the locals come and cook some of the best food from the sea available. A live band was there and a great time had by all, especially if you love fish or lobster. Thanks grower53. If you wish to contact the person, post a message to that 'exact' alias on the message board.

h. Europe, Italy: Brixen/Bressanone in the Italian Dolomites Report. 2008. Italy acquired a bit of Austria after World War I - this area, the Sud Tirol (German) or the Alto Adige (Italian) is culturally German, politically Italian, and is obligately bilingual. I went to a meeting in Bressanone, between Bolzano (the capitol of the region) and the Brenner Pass into Austria. The hotel, Best Western Gruener Baum/Albero Verde, had a sauna area with a hot dry Finnish sauna, a steam room, and a biosauna, dry but only 50 degrees Celsius, with color lights. The area was obligately nude, with a sign that said 'Nackt Bereich/Zona Nuda/Naked Zone' in 3 languages. Most people obeyed the rules. The city also has a large typically German swim/sauna establishment, with lots of different saunas, steam rooms, indoor and outdoor cooling-off places. The swimming pool is textile, the sauna area is nude. The skiing was pretty good also, and nothing beats a sauna after a day of skiing.

i. Mexico: Punta Serena Report. December 2006. Wow, what a great place Punta Serena is! I think it's as close to paradise one can get on a budget! My wife and I spent 5 wonderful days there, including New Year's, Dec/Jan 06/07. One thing is for sure about Punta Serena, it is not one of those crowded mega-resorts. There were days when we hardly saw anyone around. There is definitely a more private and intimate feel to the place. The views of the bay are so gorgeous especially from one of the two hot tubs. We arrived by bus to the little beach town of Barra De Navidad where we caught a cab to Punta Serena (I believe it was around 40-50$) I am pretty lucky because I have a Spanish speaking wife who was able to translate and make most of the arrangements. Once we arrived we both booked an open air aromatherapy massage, got a few drinks and a snack of ceviche (really good) and settled into our rooms. All in all the rooms were nice and comfortable. I especially liked our balcony and the soothing sounds of the waves. Be careful not to leave fruity drinks lying around because they will attract ants. We left our balcony sliding doors open all night and never had a problem with bugs getting in. The staff at Punta Serena were very helpful and friendly. There was a bartender and one waiter who spoke a little English to me but it would be a good idea to brush up on your Spanish. Also, it would be good to acquire several 10 peso coins (about a dollar each) to use for tips before you arrive. Which brings me to the food. In my opinion, everything on the menu was superb. Lots of delicious beef and shrimp dishes, sandwiches, snacks, wines, and a very unique Caesar salad. All of it very fancy and well done and especially enjoyable under the palapa restaurant overlooking the bay. I was so stuffed most of the time! Be sure to order room service at least once. Drinks flowed non-stop too. One of my favorites was a Paloma ("Dove" in Spanish) a mix of tequila and citrus soda with a little lime and salt. Although Punta Serena is not party central, a short walk down the hill to Blue Bay will provide all the mega-resort fun that you may be after. It's all free to Punta Serena guests. We had a fabulous New Year's party at Blue Bay, right after a delicious lobster dinner at Punta Serena! As for the nudity, this was our first experience at a clothing optional beach and it was great! My wife was a little apprehensive at first but with a little coaxing beforehand, she agreed to go nude with me on the beach. It's really a liberating and exciting experience to frolic in the sun, sand and water au naturel. There were maybe 5-6 people on the beach at a time, most nude. I saw some nudity at the pool and hot tubs too but mostly just the beach area. One thing we enjoyed very much was an early morning skinny dip in the ocean. The water is very warm even at 7 AM! The massages were nice and relaxing. The Temazcal sweat lodge ceremony was an interesting experience, definitely do it if you can. The jungle boat ride was cool. We even made a few friends. Thanks again Tom for the ride to the bus station! Can't wait to go back!

j. Mexico: Ixtapa Island (Mexico) Trip Report. July 2007. There is a nude beach in Ixtapa Island which is sanctioned by the government. The beach is about 100 yards long, fine tropical sand at one end, rocks at the other, with a wading pool beach entry and coral right after that. We were served by the local restaurant and enjoyed the place. It was safe and fun.

a. Australia: Alexandria Bay Beach, Noosa, Report. October 2007. The second half of October 2007 I returned to Australia for my 6Th trip. In 2005 I visited Sydney and the surrounding area and wrote a location report for NetNude on some beaches at that time. This time I visited the 'Sunshine State" of Queensland and the holiday town of Noosa, where I lived when I first stayed in Australia for a year in my twenties. Noosa is in southeast Queensland state, about a 3 hour drive north of state capital Brisbane. It is easily reached by multiple coach services from Brisbane such as Greyhound Australia and Premier Motor Service, many of which also stop at the airport after leaving the city Transit Centre. Flights serve Brisbane (BNE) from many parts of Australia, and international destinations as well. Noosa has lots of holiday rental homes and bed and breakfast operations there, plus a couple of backpacker hostels, which is my choice for budget accommodation when not camping. There is even a Sheraton off the main street in Noosa...

Note about updates. It has been a few months since I have done any updates. During that time a lot of things have happened:

1. The first Nudie Toons book was published and is available here: http://www.nudietoons.ca/. It is an excellent book and purchasing the book would help support the website :-)

2. I have sold my house, bought a new house (smaller, phew) and moved into it.

3. Had the flu, a broken toe, and smashed foot and lost a front tooth.

4. Bought a new truck for the business which was involved in a major accident 4 weeks later... some IDIOT did a U-turn in front of the truck on a major highway.

5. ... and more!

Anyways... those are a few of the problems that have gone down recently but ... within the next 4 weeks, I'll be putting the recent updates on the site including all the outstanding weekly reports.
